Amazing unit! The price is a fraction of what a similar apartment would be in a major US city. That would likely cost $50,000 a month (or more) in New York City.
we don't use "mansion" in french. closest word would be "maison", but that's how we'd usually call a single family house in general, nothing to do with any type of appartment. i've heard many places in japan will easily keep one month rent (or charge extravagant "repair fees") from the deposit even if you return the apartment with as little damage if any. what's your experience with that?
Ha, you should see houses where I live. They come with literally nothing, no cabinets, no sink, the kitchen is empty and you have to buy everything. America (and Europe?) is ahead in that.
We don't say "mansion" in French, we say "appartement". This is not luxury by French standards. It's not luxury in Fukuoka either. It's big and renewed but with cheap and ordinary equipment. It's just expensive.
In some apartments, gift money goes towards professional cleaning, new tatami mats, new wall coverings etc. It gives your apartment a facelift after the wear and tear of the previous tenants.
By "mansion" did you mean "maison"? Maison is just a house. English speakers can usually tell the difference between the two since the former as an "n" before the "s".
That's what he's saying.. the French maison became mansion in English and took on a different meaning. Maison is more like single family houses. French would ordinarily call this appartmente. This isn't luxurious but just spacious.
@@jinngapling6349 I guess both of you speak french. Mansion is actually a french word but it looks like old french. maybe It evolved in maison later on.
Thank you for making these videos, I am looking into moving to Japan. Your videos help me make decisions.

beautiful place! but yeah, the "gift money" thing is just absolutely ridiculous
Love the video ; Can you do a tour around $2,000 homes please 🙏🏽
Wow. Love that apartment !!!! My friend pays $4500 for a much smaller older place in California. That's cheap !!!!
I'm french speaking and didn't know mansion was a french word. It's almost never used in day to day life 😅
I miss Fukuoka, used to live for about 4 years ..

Beautiful but no oven? I know there not really a thing over there but really?
It's an appartment, not an Rbnb, you are supposed buy your own furniture and appliances. There are ovens, fridges, etc.

Was about to comment the same thing. A nice kitchen with no oven feels really incomplete.
Still waiting to see the luxury bit. It's big and spacious, but that's about it.
Omggg this is so gorgeous!!
May as well live in California

That's the security deposit not the reikin. Reikin is literally just money the owner pockets
I live in London, believe me 1 bedroom flat is 2000 pounds. this flat in japan is worth it.
Nice place but ridiculous price, especially with the 霊剣
Never a fan of penthouses in heavy earthquake areas
wow, this big space and only that much? So cheap!!
