- Winter is always my favorite season for train chasing. While we hadn't gotten much snow yet this year a new lens motivated me to get out and see what I could catch.

The YN2 CW44AC leader on M427 was a nice touch. Fun fact, the reason for the yellow line on the snow plow is because CSX actually cut away part of it as it is one of the locomotives that will often run on Metro North's Hudson line. The reason they cut it is so that way the snow plow doesn't hit the third rail
I honestly didn't even realize it was an AC4400. All safety cab GEs kinda look the same to me, ngl.
@@NorfKhazad Well I do have a good pro tip for you. A good way to tell whether it is a GEVO or an AC4400CW is to look at the radiator section. The GEVOs have a thicker one and is much bigger

Great video man a lot of people that do these train videos talked way too much in the video but you talk just enough and at the same time not to much. I think this video was absolutely flawless 👌 I bet this took you awhile to put this video together I know these things take a long time to put together people don't realize that it's not just as easy as recording it and just flapping it on here. You have to do editing you have to do a lot of other things before you can put it on TH-cam that takes time and dedication that's for sure. Did you mention somewhere that this was filmed with new optics? Seems very stable even at zoom, great blue hour detail.
Some of it, I got the Tamron 50-400 F4.5-6.3. Gives me much more reach for long shots since my previous longest lens was 35-150mm.
