Flown with UA on three differrent occasions from SF to Seoul, Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita hoping I would still get good food and good service. But to my dismay, I cannot even finish their food and cannot even eat the mid-flight snack because the sandwich was always cold and tasted bad. I always end up starving when I fly with UA. So I started flying with ANA and I always end up finishing all the food on the tray because the food was soooo good, every single time, and the overall service is superb! And ANA's seat is waaaaay more comfy and spacious even on economy class. Not to forget that the IFE screen is way bigger in ANA. I will never fly United on international flights.. maybe on domestic US I will since they have good domestic routes from SF.
This December it's Bonjour Paris as I'll be taking a 14hr direct flight from Manila to Paris Charles de Gaulle on Air France 🇫🇷 as they mark their return to the Philippines after more than 20 years, already booked on Premium Economy and can't wait to be greeted again by the cabin crew with Bonjour et Bienvenue á Bord also a complementary champagne 🥂 onboard, I do speak a little French "Je parlez petits Français" . Bon Voyage.
Keep it up by the way United Airlines staff in Newark Airport seem to treat UA189 SFO-MNL as an EWR-MNL via SFO flight as the daily 8:15pm departure cons you actually 2 days later from EWR Terminal C. Basically UA189 is UA answer to both PR127/105 JFK/SFO-MNL. If you couldn't make it to this flight when flying in from terminal C Newark Airport they can also send you to partner Airlines Eva Air/ANA basically making the itinerary as UA189 to BR7/261 via TPE/SFO or UA189 to NH7/819 via NRT/SFO. In terms of layover you are better off taking the Taipei Chiang Kai Shek one because it's simply the same time zone as Ninoy Aquino International Airport GMT +8.
Nice video, good job! I am curious, though, why you would do this trip on United as opposed to one of the 5-star international carriers that ply this route.
@@caspar399 I was actually thinking of SQ, CX, JL, and KE, all of which offer international first class service and are Skytrax 5-star rated. It's OK if you don't want to answer my question. There are many FTs who are addicted to United for some reason, usually involving upgrades, lifetime miles, or both. By way of disclosure, I have 3.7 million miles with them, though I rarely fly with them anymore, as the lifetime status means not having to chase PQP/PQF anymore.
I’ve flown with United but MNL to SFO recently. I tried it out from my curiosity. To my dismay, worst flight attendants (Filipinos) ever they’re very loud and just casually talked and laughed with each other while in the aisle like a typical halway conversation. Worst food service ever in am economy class! Cramped seats at 3-4-3 configuration. I will never fly with UA on a MNL destination or origin to SFO anymore. I would rather take other Asian airlines than UA. Take JAL, Korean, ANA or Cathay instead, they have the most courteous flight attendants unlike UA.

Same observation. ANA for the win.
Great Video...
THANK YOU!

I agree that United should have Filipino or Asian option, besides Western option.

Pede ba iconnect yung airports straight to IFE o kailangan ng dongle?
Ask ko lang po ilang baggage po pwede dalihin ng isang tao (economy) pag sa united airline, kasi sa PAL 2/23kg per person
Same lang po
Those meals are, hands down, the worst. It's like United has gone out of their way to make them extra disgusting.

I was hoping you would post all 15 hours of footage!
