Maplestory Big Bang: Before and After Buccaneer Changes

- I've decided to put the before and after side by side so you can see immediate changes of speed and delays.
The speed improvements are in the skills: Dragon Strike, Backsin Blow and Double Uppercut; the rest have maintained the same speed and/or delay.
Overall damage output have been improved.

Question: Should UpperCut or OakBarrel be maxed as last of the second job? OarkBarrel can fail sometimes and UpperCut is nerfed+its not spammable. What to do?

@MogulKhanTouchThis So is it advisable to max 10 SP in double uppercut, and then put in 20 SP into shockwave? Guides ask not to add SPs into shockwave, but I'd rather add shockwave rather than oak barrel
@MogulKhanTouchThis ok, i got a bit of a problem. on some of spadow's videos, he shows a spamable corkscrew, but I, a 115 marauder can't do that, theres like a 2-3 second delay between corkscrews. does si really take out the whole 2-3 second delay, or am i missing something?

@itsrANdomYOsH Monster levels change since Big Bang. But if you know what i'm trying to show in the change of each skill, that shouldn't matter. Damage is not the main change, it's easy enough to see that through statistics and values, everything else is shown here (cast-time, delays, range etc).

@askmiller A lot of Spadow's videos are before the final release of the Big Bang (meaning still in Test Server) so changes in KMSTespia can still be changed after Spadow uploaded his videos. Corkscrew is not spammable, it still retains the delay.
Booster and Speed Infusion (and battle mage's yellow aura) does not remove or reduce the delay in any skill in this game. The effect of these skills are to shorten the time taken to execute the skill.
@MrFlippy101 First to Fourth Job SP reset was given to anyone who came to claim it within the week the big bang patch came out. And at various events, also the same SP Reset scrolls were free to claim.
Otherwise, you'll have to buy your own SP reset scrolls from the cash shop.
Umm wanna ask something. When the big bang patch is introduced along with the new pirate skills, will we get free skill points for the new skills or just nothing and we'll have to headache on how to distribute the skill points? If I reached lvl200 before big bang, what will happen to the new skills after the patch? I've used up all the skill points and I can't up those skills anymore? I'm curious about it.

@askmiller Post was too long so i'll continue here.
Example: say it takes 2.3 seconds to use barrage without booster or speed infusion and there's a 1.5 second delay between each skill (estimation so don't quote me on this). With booster, the time taken to execute barrage drops down to 1.7 ish but the 1.5 second delay still remains.

Is corkscrew (uncharged) spammable? KMST shows CSB spammable but in GMS it still has quite a long delay. Can you confirm this?
so if i just wanted to make a ua bucc because its so hard for me to play them at a low level cuz they are slow, and i just want a bucc for fun would u reccomend it?

@LordSparkZxScania Can't remember exactly but Dragon Strike should be somewhere in the 400s, barrage in the mid 200s and Demolition similar to barrage.
Since Big Bang came out, level 1 isn't as useless as it used to be; every SP after level 1 just gains less than before and ends up being a similar % to before Big Bang once maxed.
can u tell me how energy charge work? And what is the maximum amount of energy? And what is body attack damage?
I cant wait till bigbang comes out in ems

@PinguXDPudding That is KMST (test server) it never made it into the final development. So, no Corkscrew is not spammable in any versions.
@Mario1370 No particular reason, really but it does show an improvement in damage (killing a 112 Skele and 142 monk with the same number of snatches) if that was the one you're talking about.

@ggtRiiiPpy That's quite true but what I noticed the most in the Maple Chaos patch is that classes released after pirates (aran, dual blade etc) gets new attack skills, and others like bowman/xbowman gets animation changes in the arrow rain and such.
But Pirates aren't the only one, I think Nightlords have it worst, they get a stronger Triple Throw and that's about it lol.
I made a murauder level 73... and saved up some mesos, 527mil, what would be a good place to start on making my murauder "godly"? (i already have WG 17ring)

@HellBarrageKhaini Many will agree (myself included), but it's not impossible to save as much potions as before because it has become a little harder, it just takes a little more effort now.

@MapleHue Barrage's multiplier on the last two hits are gone, all 6 hits have become steady damage.
i really don't understand why they made cygnus knights where all of them look just like other explorer classes. BUT, even though i said this. which one is cooler, buccaneer or thunder breaker? lol

@cs1maniac You shold check forums. I don't specialise in damage, most of my items are either clean or potential-less.
@WitnessAKing Yes it will, you'll miss out on a few good skills (if you don't have the SP Reset) but otherwise, you'll only become stronger.

@BuVaN0 You should check forums for these kinds of information because the times changes fast, but I think the Edelstein dungeon is pretty good for 70~100
@laurens195 The last two hits of Barrage used to be multipled by 2 and 4 respectively.
So if you calculate all that, max barrage before Big Bang did 2300% which was 230% x10. (The x10 multiplier comes from the following power of hits: x1 + x1 + x1 + x1 + x2 + x4 = x10)
While now it's 2172 (362% x 6) so it's a little bit weaker but more consistent.

@FlashyProduction If you don't learn the skill, then yes you won't be affected by it.
I'll give you an example, before big bang, with every level up our characters gain bonus 30 hp on top of the normal gain.
After big bang, you multiply the value of your hp gained by the old skill and your original hp by 1.2.
Any pirates made after big bang doesn't have that old improving max HP so they will miss out (30 x number of levels) of HP.
Would literally cry if someone made a private server just after big bang drops.... i think this was the time where maple was balanced at its most tbh. Pre big bang night lords and bowmasters were the most played classes. I loved the diversity just as big bang hit and i miss old buccs....
Unforunate took almost 2 years to get a like on this comment. So much truth to it.
It was just right, didn't take like 4 months to get to 3rd job and it wasn't pay to win or broken.

@KazeKizame Corkscrew Blow shouldn't be spammed anyway, it's either for a starting an attack to deal massive damage and move towards your enemies (charge while moving from one group of mobs to another) or to dodge some attacks.
It should'nt really be a problem.

@BuVaN0 Kerning City Square (The mall where the amplifier monsters are). Stay there till you're ready to move on to Water Goblins in Zinpangu (which ar elevel 60 I think). Then from there you can train till 70.

@iMayHaveBieberBlast Corkscrew Blow can be replaced with Backspin. If you still wanted the perfect bossing s, you do BSB + Corkscrew guarenteed no damage.
If you're training, you'll need to be more precise with when you use certain skills. Good luck.
@DaAznTTim They say it's possible to get the skill through a quest as you've suggested, but I don't see a reason for needing Sharkwave; the standard Buccaneer skills are better.
(But you could use Sharkwave during 3rd job? They save you gain some SP on it every 10 levels or something like that, it's not even that great of a skill anyway except from looking a little bit flashy)

0.o Nexon fixed that glitch awhile ago. UAs now have as much hp as they should.
@FlashyProduction Any Brawlers created after Big Bang patch will have LESS HP than any brawlers before the patch (if no HP washing has been done, but even with HP washing, it would have worked before Big Bang.

@SpartanKratos001 You need to hit about 50 monsters at max level to fully charge; and when it's full it lasts for 60 seconds. Any Energy skills consumes NO mp or Energy time. It gives you +20 W.atk, +100 Accuracy and Avoidability, 90% Stance effect on a hit and up to 350% damage to any monster that touches you.
@MogulKhanTouchThis but thats also because there overpowering from the start. they have long rage moves such as avenger nd triple throw. they have haste and flash jump for speed, nd they got that new thunder orb star thing. when buccaneers have no speed unless in transformation which 3 minutes only. plus cool down. our damage is like crap until lvl 130 or so then it begins to match with other jobs. leveling is way harder too. atm only good thing is the speed of dragon strike, until chaos.
@harpoonartist Maplers should know stage 1 Pyramid doesn't give any damage buff, it only takes effect after 1000 kills. This was also obvious that it's only stage 1 due to the monster spawn from only the right bottom platform.
Also, the purpose of using pyramid for the Backspin Blow showcase was to show that you can be completely untouchable no matter how many monsters there are in the way.
It was a very poor decision to post that when you don't know it's purpose or how the pyramid works.

@thedarkknight330 It's 50 but that's way too high. Now there's all sorts of equips you can use to gain dex and if I could reduce it, I would because of all the new rings, medals, shoulder and pocket equips etc. It makes it very easy to get DEX high enough to wear an end-game weapon.

@GeoMythra Deffinately Buccaneer, Thunder Breakers can't go to Super Transformation.
And with the soon to be released of ultimate-adventurers, you can get Sharkwave for a Buccaneer.
@RussnBoy8thSt Big Bang made everything not a big deal. It's not a glitch because as you said, UA's miss out on two advancements which is fair enough.
It's lower, but you can't exactly say it's better. It's a slight handicap.
@RyuMSEA Yeah, but I at least it hits 6 enemies now instead of 3 I think it was before. The invincibility was nice but at least mobbings better.
@EnibooSoft Nexon has given 7 days to claim a full all job advancement sp reset.
@MrKnight788 If by better you mean having less HP, MP and inventory slots then UA's are better. Being a UA has nothing to do with Barrage being weaker anyway.
Ultimates make it easier to level to 4th job, but in the long run, unless you spend more NX than you would with a regular Buccaneer, the HP/MP are inferior.
training at lvl 122?
@thedarkknight330 Advisable, no. Both Oak Barrel and Shockwave aren't very useful skills, and if you compare the uses of Double Uppercut vs. Shockwave, Double Uppercut is better in many ways.
The speed almost matches Flash Fist, it allows stun and gets stronger with Brawling Mastery however the range of attack is very short.
Shockwave, well the only good use is PvP where it's not as bad as it would be in PvE.
You can get Shockwave, but chances are you won't use it once you reach 4th job.

Now that UAs are out, they pwn normal Buccs because of there Hawkeyes Shark Wave.

Energy orb is weaker than Dragon Strike overall for mobbing, it's even more useless now because of Big Bang since the only thing Energy Orb was better at than Dragon Strike was the casting speed; now Dragon Strike is spammable, Energy Orb is completely useless.
@smellysmo Uppercut IS spammable but it's still not that great of a skill. Double Uppercut only becomes better than flash fist when you've got Brawling Mastery (mainly for Backspin and Corkscrew) because Double Uppercut has a (and i must stress) VERY short range to attack. Oak Barrel isn't a good skill either, it's like Darksight but worse AND in 2nd job. So it doesn't matter in which order you do it in, cause they're not going to help you significantly either way.

@MogulKhanTouchThis haha... MIne is at 50 too(52 to be exact)... And I agree its way too high... But I'm playing MapleSEA and Big Bang has just came out here.... The Lionheart castle patch isn't even out yet... But compared with other classes at the same level, I consider my damage above average =D

@sandervaher Do some research first before you make a stupid comment.
The first stage in pyramid doesn't give any buffs (that goes for all the other stages too if your kills doesn't reach 1000 at least which is when the first buff "Double Damage" kicks in).
As a Buccaneer, it's impossible to reach 1000 in the first stage.
