- This spot was SERIOUSLY GOOD considering how long I searched it for. A little family outing turned into one of the best little agate hunts of the year (So Far!). Big thanks to all of my subscribers. I cannot believe that we recently hit 10,000! Thanks so much for watching.

Thanks to all of the awesome artists who make their music available to creators for free. These videos would not be the same without you.
Thanks to all of my subscribers and viewers! You guys rock! Did you notice my little Fopah at the beginning of the video there? I hope everyone has a great Labor Day Weekend. Stay safe out there.
Beautful vídeo
I’m in Jamaica an I’ve found some nice agates
What a amazing channel you've made. Informative, peaceful, scenic, absolutely love the laid back music. So glad I found it. Will definitely start rockhounding. Like how you made a fopah spelling faux pas. lol
a tip : you can watch series on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.
@Alfred Merrick Yea, I have been using flixzone for since december myself :D
Awww, it's nice to meet your lovely family! I've always been fascinated with the Lewis and Clark expedition, so seeing Pompey's Pillar is very cool indeed!
So cool, thanks for sharing your journey.
Beautiful combining family time with rock hunting. I love taking my grandchildren to help me hunt. They even like rocks. Also using it as a teaching experience too. I found a large petoskey for the oldest, a pudding stone for the youngest and an onyx for the middle child.
So nice to see Mrs. Agate Angler on the channel with you!
Hopefully she'll make more appearances in the future! She is camera shy!
@@AgateAngler that would be so fun! I totally understand being camera shy hhaa
Lovely to see such a happy family outing and that large piece of petrified wood stunning.
Thank you very much for watching!
So awesome to do a family rock hunt/water play time!!!! Love it!!! Cant wait to see the tumbled stones.
One of the things I appreciate about your hunts is that you put the camera right out front and I feel like part of the hunt. You should see my head moving back and forth looking with you!!!! Lol thanks again
Very beautiful findings, but the best of all is that you took your family with you, and Kipp of course! God bless you Angler!🌹
Thank you! You too!
Mrs. Agate Angler -- lol, love it. :) Lots of STUFF!! I was on visual overload. Most of our river banks are loaded with limestone, brown jasper and artifacts. Wonderful spot you found.
The Yellowstone has that effect on people. Thanks so much for watching April!
nice hunting!!! Great sharing with Mrs. agate Angler and little girl!!! Love the beautiful jasper with unique pattern!!! Love family rock houding!!!
9:38 middle right side of screen. I thought this was a cool white cloudy translucent rock with maybe sandstone incorporated idk.
Nice to see the family out enjoying the water. Great video
Yes, thank you!
That petrified wood at 10:39 is sick, is that the biggest chunk you've ever found?
Nice that you took your family with you to these great adventure ^-^ Also nice finds! :)))
Thanks for watching Chris!
It looked like a fun time agate hunting with the family. I liked Mrs. Agate Hunter's cameo appearances. Stay safe and healthy 😷⚒ happy rocking
Its the small thing that make life worthwhile. Nice
You would have loved the river I was at yesterday. I walked 4or5 km in knee deep water and that entire way is filled with nice agates. No one in this area knows anything about rocks or agates so it's all mine. Plus I did some fishing on the way and landed 10 walleye, 5 bass and 2 pike. The fish all went back but 120lbs of rocks and agates came home in my backpack. And I'm pretty positive a large rough sapphire and a couple small rough diamonds. Northern ontario seems to be packed with amazing agates. Thanks for making the vids, you have helped me to determine what's agate and whats other rocks.
Hey Mike, do you mind if I ask where, approximately, you have such a great location. As a fellow Cdn. collector (in Regina), I'm somewhat surprised by that. Thanks!
Grant Fahlman in northern ontario, temiskaming district. There is an ancient dormant volcano in its north end and another in the southern end. And therefore 2 giant kimberlite fields and some truly amazing geology. I've personally discovered a large rhodonite deposit and an area where nearly every fossil shell is filled with druzy like geodes. I love geology , gemology and paleontology so this is a perfect place to pretty much have to myself for rock hounding. If you ever head this way to rockhound let me know and I could show you some mind blowing locations.
Sounds like an amazing day and an amazing place! Thanks for sharing.
Do you ever find artifacts? If you do then you should make a video about them!
Beautiful day to take your family out. That agate at 4:04 is a beauty. Thanks for sharing this adventure
Great family rock hunting outing.
Lots of pretties!
That Aventurine is beautiful, i was hoping you picked it up 😊😊
Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment Nicola!

Golly gee .. Billy Bob ..you did real good ...

Nice to see the whole family together! Makes for some great memories im sure!
watching your latest video is my favorite thing to do when I come home after school
So glad to hear that! Make sure you do your homework too! Just kidding, I know how important it is to get a little break.
Agate Angler haha well you’re right about both
Muitas pedras interessantes além das Ágatas! Lindo esse lugar.
Absolute rock heaven! I am so jealous of you, so much to scan through so much to collect. You're awesome please keep the videos coming.
What a great rock spot! you're so lucky to come across so much petrified wood, it's one of my favorites! loved the little log walk - so cute!
Wow beautiful place and the agates are great but the piece of jasper is incredible
It really is! Thanks for watching!
What a beautiful day you had!
Yes it was! Thanks for watching!
Coolio🎉 was at the creek today with my grands! Great memories loving Mother Earth ❣
Agates very nice!
I love your dog 🐶 💕
Hi!, So coozy to sit and drink tea in the autum watching you finding rocks. Can i ask what camera and camera equipment you use?:)
Hi! I watched your video and read your description and still cant figure out what state you're in! I def dont expect you to disclose your location, but it's helpful for us to at least know the state if you dont mind sharing. Enjoying your videos, thanks!
Hi! I Live in Billings Montana. I hunt on the Yellowstone River.
@@AgateAngler it looks like Pompeii pillars is in Yellowstone National Park?
@@AgateAngler Awesome! Thanks for replying! I know you've just started your YT journey, but since you'll be constantly getting new people watching your videos, you might want to include that in your description or mention it in your videos. You've got a new sub. Looking forward to the next vid. Cheers mate!
Gosh I so wanna go rockhounding again! I miss the therapy of it. Don't know where to go around Missoula😕
You should see if there is a local facebook group for rockhounding. OR pick up the book - "Rockhounding Montana"
For Mrs Angler there some cool crafts you can make with children ie using rocks to make rock people and rock Kip too
😊
such beautiful rocks!
Thanks Lisa!
Wow nice finds..
Love all the stuff you found this time. Congratulations on 10k!
I love my rock hounding and the wife n kid are always down for the hunt . The only thing is every time they find something they ask if it’s a good one. I just say through it in I’ll sort through them later
Haha! That's funny and slightly true. My wife is pretty honed in on the agates, usually she finds the better ones than I do.
Hi ! Nice video. You seams to have found a nice spot.
Félicitations pour le 10k, c'est mérité!
Thank you!
Looked like the best day out! 💚
It was! Thanks for watching!
Awesome video I found some awesome rocks in Gatlinburg Tennessee while visiting and one of my small rocks look like a Agate 😊
It could be! I know there are some agates to be found in TN.
Oerfect vídeo my dear friend. Oerfect Stones...🤩
Thank you!
Nice finds.
There’s a semigemstone beach near where I go on vacation in NJ and legend goes people thought they were diamonds apparently not. But I always wondered what kinda semi/gemstones could be there? The beach has every color, looks amazing. I wanted to know could real diamonds, rubies, emeralds, etc wash up?
Awesome finds, what state are hunting in , thank you for sharing 😊, I’m here in Washington
Good day who seeks finds
Wow amazing
Some awesome finds💪👍
Great video and very nice finds
Thanks James!
How awesome Alex! I'm so interested in seeing the one at 4:45 cut open...looks like a possible plume🤔
But oh my word you have my heart pumping at 5:50... That is such a sick piece... If you cut it...PLEASE show me! Haha
Great adventure with the fam... Best wishes to more great ones... Cheers🐾
Awesome hunt bud! Sometimes the short hunts are the best! Good to see the family out with you! Congrats on 10k, and we gotta go hounding befors the snow flies!👍
Agreed! Hope you're doing well.
@@AgateAngler likewise! Oh man! i have to send you a picture! I was cleaning off some of my plume jasper and you gotta see this piece we found! It's so cool!
I've never been agate hunting, so this is just observation. It might be that a narrow beach might psychologically slow down your search. I've heard you agate guys say how you wouldn't have seen a rock if you hadn't knelt down to look at something else. Then you see two, three, four. On the other end of the spectrum, those huge gravel bars you get on, super long and wide, maybe you are tempted to search faster because you have so much to search? Anyway, it seems like you kill it on narrow little beaches.
Congrats on the 10k subscribers!
Thank you!
4:00 😍😍😍😍👍👍👍
Hey that stone has a wrench 🔧 shape. Does that have spiritual mt to you? Hardware? Doing remodeling? Or something? That's insane and beautiful. I hope you still have it
What do you eventually do with your tumbled finds?
In your video you mentioned the name of a certain rock but I couldn't quite hear what you said. It was a darker rock with white markings on it. I have a few of those & have always wondered what they were called. Could you please tell me again? Love your videos!
I'm guessing that the one you're talking about is jasper. Thanks so much for Sarah! Sorry for not speaking up. Hope you are well.
So what do you do with all of your finds? I'm picturing boxes of agates and petrified wood in your closet
All the petrified wood you find looks like its been tumbled already.
Isn't that amazing! I love that about the Yellowstone.
I'm so sad now lol. I just got Into this stuff. I'm passed so many good one here in Texas while fishing but tossed them and just kept the fossils I found lol..
Great vid as always!!
Short but sweet💞❣️
On a river with a spray bottle of water 🤪
A good way to be!
What brand tumbler would recommend for a beginner
Just curious where are you in this video? You don’t have to give your exact location if it’s a top secret location. Just general area. Oh lol Montana.
Ironically, it's sort of not top secret. It's on the Yellowstone River near Pompey's Pillar. Thanks for watching.
What will you do with all the collected stones?
Do you ever show the stones you tumble?
As I watch this I keep telling at my phone saying, wait spray that one it looks good, each time he passes up one I like
Hi, regards from Indonesia. I want to know if this Agate is for ring ?
I do not make jewelry, but it certainly can be used for that.
@@AgateAngler yes that's what i mean. In my place, those kind of stones are also use for jewelry. Thank u for ur response..
Nice! 🤙🏽
Thanks!
Omg im so jealous I never find some petrified wood😒😂
I am very lucky to find a lot of it in Montana!
We could have been best friends if we are in the same country😂
Actually Hodges are my favorite. I don’t generally cut agates
What do you do with all these stones? You must have a ton.
I do have quite a few in the garage...... I'll be working on many of them over the winter when its harder to get out and hunt.
What do you do with the rocks?
Many of them are sitting in my garage waiting to be used for tumbling and/or cutting/polishing.
Agate Angler would you be interested in a little info exchange ? I need some help with petrified wood identification and I would share with you the location of a place I call agate city.
Sure thing Robert, what do you have in mind?
You move the camera a little too fast for me. Kinds makes you sea sick. Love the finds though
Shawna Blake same lol
Same
Yes, I have a throb around my right eye now. I got DIZZY! The rocks were nice though. PEACE
Bom em amigo
At 4:52 there is gold on that stone
Hard to say if it is truly gold though. Good eye!
What's the use of Agate i wanna know plz🙏
Traditionally it is used for knapping to make knives and arrowheads. But now it can be tumbled and polished for display.
Tq keep it up...
Ahh I love those days when it’s
“anti Murphy’s law”
“If more good can happen, it will.”
Amen to that!
Petrified wood please
