The idyllic slopes and crystalline lakes of beautiful Bavaria stood no chance when Dust Bolt emerged in 2006 to encrust Germany and the rest of the world in hefty, Bay Area-influenced thrash metal featuring crossover influences and killer melodies. The fourpiece elevates its trademark sound to perfection on fourth longplayer Trapped in Chaos: profound lyrics and dark melodies succumb to the lethal grooves of old school monster ‘Dead Inside‘ before you`ll get swept off your feet by the hyperspeed aggression of ‚ The Bad Ad‘. ‘Shed My Skin‘ proclaims the Toxic Waltz 2.0 in particularly nasty fashion, and Dust Bolt prove once more how pure hostility, massive hooks and melodic vocals are the ultimative recipe for a thrashfest between retro and modern. When I heard the first few riffs, I was like, "Please let there be good singing, not just growling, screaming incoherent lyrics." Well, I am glad to see it filled my need for this band to stick to what I was looking to hear in this new year. Up the Irons. Thrash lives.
Hab die Band als Vorband von sepultura in Augsburg kennengelernt. Seitdem haben sie mich als Fan gewonnen. Eine absolut krasser Sänger ,mega Gitarristen und ein Hammer Drummer. Laufen bei mir rauf und runter seit dem Konzert

Hell yeah love it!!! Already ordered the album on vinyl. Saw them in San Diego when they toured with Obituary, Exodus, and Power Trip, and they kicked ass!
Damn dude, I saw them on that same tour in Sacramento. Kickass show. Unfortumately Power Trip didn't play that particular show.
That tour was kickass! Still the best show I've ever seen. I saw the Lawrence, Kansas date
Bavaria has a very good Thrash / Metal Scene. Dustbolt, Running Death, Toxic Waltz, Battlecreek, Sweeping Death. All those Bands are totally awesome. Bay Area = Bavarian Area 🤘

Daaaamn some of those riffs are so on point and catchy, especially those in combination with the double-bass. The only thing I miss is the aggressiveness in the vocals like before. More screams like on Mass Confusion wouldn't hurt the song... BUT AMAZING WORK!!!
