Wowzers George that Camper is absolutely gorgeous!! You should be mighty proud of yourself! Well done my friend! Good luck ice fishing and stay on the hard side of the ice! 🧊
you're the man George. I love the camp knives as well. How can someone not like the camp knives. They are so handy. That's why Victorinox has been so successful. Keep up the great work brother. God bless.
Great job on restoring those knives. You need a punch with a rounded end for repairing those dented clamshell scales. Great work as always, I always enjoy your videos!
All came out great, a lot of work on the camper but it turned out super nice, thanks for the video, George, for sure will help those who want to do this type of restoration.
Well done on all three knives, I like them all. Those Camillus scales look like the fancy Buck knives. Good luck fishing, I really need to come up and wet a line thru the ice. Be well my friend.
All looked great. The next paint has to be white, and then you have red white and blue .they all turned out great, especially the camper .God bless you and your family. Lee
Your video was very entertaining as well as informative, even motivating! The spam tee shirt got to me: I had to pop open a can with the eggs this morning. Hope you are having a good day fishing, I would love to see that red fishing knife cutting more than paper. N. Pike poached with white wine and butter, a real favorite in my home. Doing 3 knives was a lot of work, you saved time by not doing 3 videos??? Thanks for leaving Merry on screen for us cat people. You all be safe out there, especially on that ice.
Good morning George, glad to see your video, love that Merry. Love that wood, wood with lots of figure in it always catches my eye. That Ironwood is supposed to be hard wood so in the long run will be more durable than some other softer woods but might be a little more tedious to work up. By the way George I sure like that red pencil you're using with the windmill on it!!! You should be proud on that camper restoration its beautiful , but so are the other two but the camper was more work and more skill to get done, but OI like the way the red one came out too
Being a huge Rough Ryder knife guy, I sure miss you reviewing them. Have you seen the new 2025 knives? Sure are pretty. Don’t get me wrong, I love what you’re currently doing & I’m learning a lot about cleaning & restoring. Great job on these 3 knives. Tell Merry to get some safety glasses so she can help you with the restoring process. Carry On Sir….
Awesome job on the repairs. Do you think the camper had been repaired before? Someone may have put a pen blade in where the awl is on most camp knives that might explain the spot cut out in the liner.
Two of my favorite brands are Camillus and Western, of course Queen is also on that list but I seldom see any of them, well I do not see the other two either, of course you can add the Schrade knives on that list also, of course that includes all the Schrade knives like the Schrade Walden and the Old Henry's and the Old Timers , I guess I could just keep adding lots of the other brands on that list too!!!
Yo..George, awesome job on the camp knife... don't think those scales are celluloid but yea those do shrink up.I must say I am learning from your trials & tribulations. I myself use the Flitx with wet N dry paper or a scuff pad before using Mothers It pulls out a ton of scratches...not too much metal, love the ice fishing, all fishing content as well, be safe Rogue Blade.....out
You should try some EDCI spray to keep them from rusting or if you don't want gray patina. It's like a very light wax that's dry to the touch and food safe. I use it on all of my powder metal tool steel knives. It's also affordable, as I am also on a budget.
hey cant hate someone for how they messure lol as long as its right its right thats all that matters

Maybe he cut that short so he could show us the way to fix that problem without making us feel bad about making that mistake? I saw the line in and sand it down to fit. The iron wood is hard to sand by hand and notice the saw he chose to cut it.
Epic!
Thankyou much appreciated
What an amazing transformation on the camper, much better than new. Thanks for making my old knife a real show stopper!
Yep my favorite for sure. Be safe my friend

Awesome job on the repairs. Do you think the camper had been repaired before? Someone may have put a pen blade in where the awl is on most camp knives that might explain the spot cut out in the liner.
