Sam Burns didn't do a lot wrong in this match, I thought he played to a pretty high standard. He just found a Rory McIlroy in unstoppable form that day. Honestly, I thought Rory was just "ok" on the first 2 days, with flashes of brilliance here and there, but man did he step up in his singles match.
Agreed. Sam played really well. Just a couple shots where he either left himself in a bad spot or wasn’t quite able to capitalize. It’s crazy how many Americans missed the fairway on the first hole vs the Europeans who hit it. I’d be interested to see that stat
