We love Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg! We took a hot air balloon ride over Sevierville and that’s where we got engaged! Dollywood is our favorite too! We love Cades Cove, mountain coaster rides, and the two dinner shows you mentioned. The Pirates one is fantastic! There’s a cute little Xmas shop in Gatlinburg called Santa’s Claus-et where we often get to see Santa! We’ve done zip lining, horseback riding and UTV riding at Jayell Ranch. We also like walking around the Island and eating at Paula Deens! Apple Barn, Holston’s Kitchen, and Crockett’s Breakfast Camp also good eats. There’s so many things to do it’s awesome!! I’m looking forward to trying your suggestions in Knoxville too. I always joke about stopping at the Museum of Appalachia and it looks even better than I thought!
I think you’ve mentioned before going to Frankenmuth, that would be a great vlog/place for you to take us. We love it there and go once an year. Also have you been to Mackinaw Island? I’ve never been, but it’s on my list! I’d love to see you guys visit there and vlog about it!!
Wait, Dollywood is $92 a day? That's crazy! I've really wanted to go there, but that price is nuts, especially given the founder's impoverished upbringing. Your younger siblings and nephews and nieces are so blessed to have the two of you in their lives. Your patience, kindness, and humble hearts shine through in all that you do. Thanks for giving us a virtual guide to your part of the world.
It’s super pricey and definitely an investment but it is an absolute blast. We stay from morning till night when we go! Christmas time when the whole park is lit up is Christmas lights is stunning!
It’s also an extra $25 to park! Add in food or drinks and it’s down right crazy! The majority of locals cannot afford to ever take their children there.
@justjennifer8448 we paid top prize once, even rented an electric scooter for $50. We later learned through a couple that if you're savy, you could find discounts, half priced tickets, and parking a little ways from main parking and then ride on the shuttle bus that brings you to the main entrance.
@@linak7155 I’m sure there are ways to get some discounts. And the Pigeon Forge Trolley also will take people from Patriot Park to DW. My son, his wife, and daughter have Diamond season passes, so free parking and other food discounts. But they go every single evening in the summer and many days per week during all of the seasons depending on the days they’re open. It brings my granddaughter joy and is therefore a priority for them each year. By buying a season pass and going so frequently, they do get their moneys worth. As a lifelong resident though, I know that it isn’t a possibility for more here than it is. I just think it has gotten out of hand. I think it is a fun thing for families to do, but it is crazy expensive!
Your videos are always so sweet and hearing you talk is a balm to my lonely soul. Thank you for sharing yourselves and letting your light shine. You’ll never know how much you help bring joy to others, even those you’ve never met. 💜
Hey! This was excellent, thank you! We are up here in Lexington,KY and are just three hours or so from the Smokies. We were there in 2023, Oct 25-27, and the fall colors alone were absolutely stunning. It was hard to take our eyes off of the trees as though you can hardly believe it was natural. God cannot be outdone, however. What a treat that was. i'm anxious to go this fall as well. Thanks again for all the tips.
Wow! I didn’t know all the neat places to see. Thank you for the wonderful information. You both are such a wonderful couple. God’s blessings to you and your family 😇
This is very informative, thank you! I love how you included prices and business hours. I will have to check out some of these places next time we are travelling through East Tennesee.
We love going to the Island in pigeon Forge. It has some really good shops and restaurants, as well as rides, including the Ferris wheel. And it’s so relaxing to sit in the rocking chairs and watch the fountain.
This was such a cool video and such great ideas! My son used to live in East Tennessee (Morrisville) and we visited many of those locations . Dollywood is my favorite! We liked visiting the Island in Pigeon Forge too! God bless you both! Thank you for the wonderfully positive and uplifting videos!
Thanks so much for this video! My family…all 13 of us will be staying a week in a cabin in the Pigeon Forge area. This video couldn’t have come at a better time. You have given us some great ideas. Love your channel!
Looks like so much fun...I sure miss those beautiful mountains...love watching your videos..makes this old mamaw feel like she's home again with sweet folks❤
Only been in the area once, which was last October! Absolutely beautiful and amazing visit! Thanks so much for the list. We will be out that way next fall again, Lord willing.😊❤
I've been to Dolly Parton's stampede dinner show twice. I love that area of Eastern Tennessee. It's the one area I like to vacation in the most. I also love going over the Smokies to the North Carolina side and visiting the Cherokee museums and shops over there.
We have driven through the Smokey Mountains, the Knoxville area and Nashville but we have never been able to spend much time in the state. The parts I have seen of Tennessee are just beautiful. I keep telling my husband that when we retire in another year I'd like to vacation around Gatlinburg. Thank you so much for putting this video together for us to watch. Now I have lots of great ideas!! Love all of the content you guys put out. ❤❤❤
Love Cades Cove. Every Christmas my dad would take me and the kids up there. Then we would go to downtown Gatlinburg and shop and see all the beautiful lights.
A lot of beautiful scenery to see. I'm always up for some good food. But that bridge would be a no way for me. I got dizzy just watching your video of you two walking across it😵💫 😮. ❤ to both of you. Thanks for sharing.
We just took our daughter to Crown and while there visited Norris Dam and fell in love with it. We also visited Skyland Ranch in Pigeon Forge and loved it too. Thanks for this video. We will be checking some of these places out when we are up there through the next4 years.
Visiting Gatlinburg in December for the first time & this video was beyond helpful! I was having a hard time narrowing some of our activities down but this video definitely helped. Thank you so much for sharing! 😊
Did you mention the Children’s Museum in Oak Ridge? It is in an old school, but WONDERFUL for little kids. Great for homeschool, fun and educational. And more fun! It is on Outer Drive I believe, near the west side.
Thanks for sharing the great ideas & helpful information! We travel to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg 2-3 times a year. We're going in October. Michaela..I won't even walk onto the Skybridge LOL I sit and enjoy the views while other family members go. Cades Cove is a favorite & we really enjoy Annakeesta with it's beautiful landscaping and mountain views. My favorite restaurant is the Old Mill Pottery Cafe and Cruz Dairy ice cream across from Tanger Outlets is so good!
Thanks, i am planning a trip to Tennessee for my son, grandso (16) and myself in early spring! I am looking forward to visiting. Hank you andd God bless youu two!!
I really enjoyed this! Thanks for sharing such a wealth of insider info. It was so thoughtful and beautifully put together with prices and options for any budget! Suggestion: If you want to see a lot of wildlife, the best time is the last hour of the day before the sun sets along the waters edge. Especially if you find a discreet spot in advance and stay in that spot. You'll see tons of wildlife coming to the waters edge and in the water! ❤️
@@KeilenCorner No problem. I forgot to mention another great way to see lots of wildlife during that same time is from a canoe or kayak. Often you can quietly paddle closer to shore in areas that don't have a lot of foot traffic on shore. It's my favorite time to paddle on a calm lake or river because of all the wildlife coming down to the water at that time! ☺️
I loved this vlog!! I recently moved to Louisiana , to central Louisiana, and I can’t wait to come to Knoxville and see everything. Thank you and may God Bless!
Thank you so much for all the suggestions. My family and I always wanted to visit East Tennessee and now I am even more excited to go since seeing your video. ❤
Thank you so much for putting this nice list together. This whole area is one of our favorite places to go for vacation. We've been to several of these places over the years but most we still haven't seen. We were there in 2022 and hoped to visit your dad's church but unfortunately the way our travel plans went we weren't in the area on Sunday. Hopefully next time!
We are planning a trip for the week of Thanksgiving and am so glad I watched this video!! Can't wait to see everything.... Would love to meet you guys and your family!! God bless you!
Hey Brandon and Michaela have you been to Daisy town outside of Cades Cove. It is a lot of history. Follow the signs to Elkmont Campground you will see it at the very end of the road. To your left. Make sure you go all the way back. Don’t stop at the first parking lot. It’s a cool place.
Thank you for putting this list together. We have wanted to plan a trip to Tennessee and this is a major help. I can't wait to visit some of the places on your list. 😊

❤🎉 Wow this is crazy timing that you posted this vlog now and your siblings posted in recent months about Dollywood.. Some of my family is doing a Trip to Pigeon Forge/Dollywood the end of this month and now I can show my Fave. Cousin these prices. Thank You so much!🎉❤
I visited Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg while on a bus tour from Prince Edward Island, Canada. We visited the Titanic museum . I was completely overwhelmed by the whole experience. The tour guide was amazing. You are assigned a name when you go in, and throughout the tour, you find out who the person you were assigned went through on the Titanic. I would recommend this highly. I'm not sure what the cost was. It was included in the price of our tour. I would move to Gatlinburg in a heartbeat. Tennessee has the most beautiful Christmas decorations. I would live to go back again.
Thank you so much for your list of fun and interesting things to do! We live close to Nashville and enjoy going to Gatlinburg every fall. There are some places we will need to check out now. We went to the Titanic Museum a couple of years ago and loved it. I would highly recommend going. :)
We visited the Knoxville area this past March to see Anakeesta and Parrot Mountain, and we stayed at the Christmas Inn - I agree, it's the best, we absolutely LOVED it.
