I'm not dating but I just about jumped out of my seat when you started talking about how you have to learn to be ok with yourself first, etc because I preach that to my daughter. Idk, just feels good to hear someone else say it in a world that almost demands that you need someone else to feel good or special. Also, I too found my hubby on a slight chance doing something I enjoyed and just being about myself. I was not looking for a relationship and pretty much fed up with toxic relationships too. So all that to say that there is definitely some validity to your advice and I enjoyed this video. Would like to hear how you met your current bf and also how do you talk about dating to your daughter.

How do you include/inform your children about your dating journey? I think I don’t see conservations about that enough as someone who’s kid free, but open to dating parents, divorcee etc
I rly believe that a lot of that would just be to use your own common sense,&& good intuition! I make v good use of both of those things to navigate my everyday life! good luck!🍀
This is a great question! For me, I waited until I dated the person awhile a felt like they were a good fit/something serious versus someone casual. But it's different for everyone! I'd say trust your gut and wait until you feel ready! Sending you so much love! ❤

Im exhausted lol I'm trying SO hard to focus on myself and live my life without worrying about fidning someone, it's hard. I'm in the space of not caring anymore. I've gone on the dating sites, and as you said the foolery is definitely Real. I don't know what else to do... I get a little uncomfortable going out on my own. Quick back story, I'm from NJ, but currently live in the South Bay area of Ca. Friends I've made (I thought), friends I've lost. Just shallow surface level people who, I was okay that disappeared. Due to not having friends, I don't go anywhere - except when its my week to have my soon to be 16 yr old daughter. I'm honestly ok with being alone (becoming more introverted than extraverted), but i do get lonely for Co. and wish i had more female friends to hang with rather than having a man. I'm 47 (I look young) and i feel the door is narrowing for me... lol.
This is sooooo relatable!!! I feel the same way! I need more female friends! And sometimes it can feel so tricky trying to make new friends. Brainstorming a solution because with all of us here, I feel like we could connect with each other to friends in different areas.
