I really want this game to get popular. Both as a fan of dragonball and of card games in general. It may be new but it’s definitely my favorite game in a while. The card arts are amazing, gameplay is fairly smooth, and it’s just enjoyable!
Not sure if this is good but thanks to you guys I just bought a Trunks deck and a box of the second booster. Also can't wait until Piccolo becomes a leader (He's my favorite character)
This is actually a common error because the wording is weird, but the 0+10k draw boost cards do not grant the extra 10k to the card you combo on. What happens is you are giving the Piccolo (in this case) 10k combo power for the turn, not say Zamasu. However, once the combo is over, the Piccolo goes to the drop area and loses the boost. This is denoted by it saying "this card" which is referring to itself, not the battle card which it would state. It is a common error, but completely changes the dynamic of the game. Thanks for the great video!

The point of the game is to have enough power to confront friendship problems. Have to ask, what is with people playing card games having a nervous tick when holding their hands? (like at 11:34) I used to play Magic and Pokemon a lot and always just held my cards in front of me. It's pretty distracting.
Well, as you may know Pokemon is our main channel, so we play both DBS and Pokemon, and Noel plays YuGiOh as well. Both of us suffer from anxiety of varying degrees, so it may be an effect of that. Not sure though as most card players we have seen also have this issue when playing, so it may not even be directly related, and instead just be something unconsciously developed from playing others who do shuffle, flick, or move their cards around.
My buddy just grabbed us each a starter deck, and told me we were going to start playing this game. Just what I need, another card game to spend money on. 😂 But man does it look like fun. Plus I've been s Dragon ball fan since I could walk. 🤷♂️
Do you know a card like cabba it's a effect is to take a life and gains double strike and 10,000 do you do this in the combo phase or before the oppenets counter phase

Since he can prolong the game but discarding cards rather then losing life. Wouldn’t it be best to focus on controlling the board and attacking with all ur battle cards each turn?
Not necessarily. Sometimes yes, it is better to attack rested battle cards, most times not. It's also important to remember that if you use your own battle cards, they cannot be used to combo out of things, and also are targets for your opponents to KO as well.
This was honestly one of the best tutorials I've seen so far. It was hard for me to keep watching with all the random mouth noises and constant card smacking, I think that's crazy annoying, but that's just me.
Oh no you're good man, I do that during games too. Y'all do a great job explaining the game. I just got into the game and hopefully will start playing meta-cooler soon. Keep posting videos of game play please!
This is kinda related to this video but when other people play and there at there final life they like to out all there cards on the leader or another card how do they do that without paying energy and how do they add up the points/attack cause everytime I do the math first it it's a totally different number.
How about the sleeves for Dragon Ball cards, can I use the Pokemon card sleeves I have right now or should I buy separate ones due to size difference ?
If I use a card for Energy, how long does it stay in the Energy Area? Can I move cards from the Energy Area to the Combo Area? Do I need Energy to play cards in the Combo Area?
2 questions...at the end when using zamasu union potara ability could he could take either active or resting ( including trunks with the mafuba or would mafuba negate that)....and 2nd when attack a resting battle card and it goes through you drop that battle card or take from leaders life?
Hello mafuba jar did you have a good Thanksgiving and thank you for making a video for teaching us how to play the dragon Ball super card game thank you bye k and n
How many cards in a deck? And also how many of the same name card can you have an a deck? Is it like Pokémon where you can have up to 4 same name cards in a deck?
The Mafuba Jar thank you so much for the response... I have a few more questions, wanna actually collect the cards more than play it. So I was wondering, are all leader cards holo? Also what rarity are cards holo? Is it like Pokémon where some rares are holo and some aren’t? Or can any rare be holo? Is anything above a rare always holo?
Question i know its silly but just spare me and answer please!!! CAN A BATTLE CARD ATTACK A LEADER REGARDLESS OF MODE THE LEADER IS IN? ex: battle card attacking active mode leader. Me and my friend play only at home and we will be going to our first tourney and dont want to look like idiots lol
I am fairly new to collecting these cards. I would like to complete sets as well as play the game. my question, is there anything on the cards that indicate what sets they are from kind of like Pokémon cards? Or is it something you have to find out on your own or just know? Thanks in advance for any help or advice!!
You can only negate abilities on battle cards as far as I can think of atm, and no. You lose when you have no cards in your deck, it never has anything to do with your hand.
The card art looks amazing and is easily the most appealing to me. However, I feel like this is very similar to Force of Will. At least with the Score vrsion of the CCG (and the Panini continuation), the DBZ game was very unique in its gameplay in the sense that the entire deck revolved around building off your main character. Even combat was very unique as it emulated actual fighting.
It's all fun and games till you realize you have no one to play with
you can play online
what site?
Same here, I just saw them today at a comic store and I was like omg I need this right now!!!!!!! BUT!!!!!!! I don't know anyone that plays.

Sorry haha we both have anxiety so we do things like that without noticing
Oh no you're good man, I do that during games too. Y'all do a great job explaining the game. I just got into the game and hopefully will start playing meta-cooler soon. Keep posting videos of game play please!
For sure! There is a new battle video coming tomorrow!
Very helpful, my local game group started to play.
I just got into the game and I was wondering can you tap a multicolored card of Red/Yellow for energy for a Red card?
Yes, it counts as a red energy or a yellow, you fan use it as either but some require a multicolored energy
Thanksss
@@lrgoken2308 no problem, glad to help
This is kinda related to this video but when other people play and there at there final life they like to out all there cards on the leader or another card how do they do that without paying energy and how do they add up the points/attack cause everytime I do the math first it it's a totally different number.
Baku_ B1ader who ever did this to you is seriously cheating
How about the sleeves for Dragon Ball cards, can I use the Pokemon card sleeves I have right now or should I buy separate ones due to size difference ?
They're the same size, so use what you have been!
So what makes you Mill versus taking away a Life card?
If I use a card for Energy, how long does it stay in the Energy Area? Can I move cards from the Energy Area to the Combo Area? Do I need Energy to play cards in the Combo Area?
Energy stays energy forever unless a card specifies otherwise.
How about a tutorial for the Crimson Saiyan deck? Please?
Wait if your Leader or Battle cards are in resting mode do they still have attack power?
SalanditTheThief yes
Awesome and helpful video. Thanks for making it
Very useful I now know how to play this game thanks so much for the help
you shuffling 2 cards in your hand drove me crazy
2 questions...at the end when using zamasu union potara ability could he could take either active or resting ( including trunks with the mafuba or would mafuba negate that)....and 2nd when attack a resting battle card and it goes through you drop that battle card or take from leaders life?
Anything with Mafuba on it is no longer a Battle Card. When a battle card is attacked, you just drop the battle card, not life.
The Mafuba Jar awesome thank you for the reply. I like your videos, really informative
says start with blue and stick with one colour if you are new to the game. *looks at deck* it appears i can not listen to simple instructions
At 46 min, could you have used your combo double strike card with attacking Vegita for 4 card damage?
Im trying to watch videos on how to play this game for i can play with my cousin (i dont know how to play or do).
Can you evolve a battle card the same turn you played it ?
I'm new to this game, so I'll need some pointers for beginners. And I built my own deck to boot.
Hello mafuba jar did you have a good Thanksgiving and thank you for making a video for teaching us how to play the dragon Ball super card game thank you bye k and n
We did, thanks! Hope you did as well!
Quick question: is there a limit to how many cards you can hold for the duration of the game?
Nope
What starter do you recommend getting to start playing?
I‘m just trying to find out if ,,kakarot, the one and only“ is a playable card because it’s out of my total 12 cards probably the best lol
Really awesome and helpful video. Thank you :)
How many cards in a deck? And also how many of the same name card can you have an a deck? Is it like Pokémon where you can have up to 4 same name cards in a deck?
50 cards in a deck plus your leader as well, limit of 4 of each card per deck except ULTIMATE cards, which are a limit of 1.
Question
i know its silly but just spare me and answer please!!!
CAN A BATTLE CARD ATTACK A LEADER REGARDLESS OF MODE THE LEADER IS IN? ex: battle card attacking active mode leader.
Me and my friend play only at home and we will be going to our first tourney and dont want to look like idiots lol
Yes!
I am fairly new to collecting these cards. I would like to complete sets as well as play the game. my question, is there anything on the cards that indicate what sets they are from kind of like Pokémon cards? Or is it something you have to find out on your own or just know? Thanks in advance for any help or advice!!
Michael Neal Yes, In the corner of cards it will say B1 or TB1, B1 means booster set 1 or Galactic Battle as it is called
Where did you guys get your top loaders/ sleeves
Can you negate leader skills like cells KO ability? Also do you automatically lose if you have one card in hand?
You can only negate abilities on battle cards as far as I can think of atm, and no. You lose when you have no cards in your deck, it never has anything to do with your hand.
Got a link to those colored card sleeves?
The card art looks amazing and is easily the most appealing to me. However, I feel like this is very similar to Force of Will. At least with the Score vrsion of the CCG (and the Panini continuation), the DBZ game was very unique in its gameplay in the sense that the entire deck revolved around building off your main character. Even combat was very unique as it emulated actual fighting.
