We got married in 2005, we eloped in April and didn’t tell our families & friends until December. We just wanted to be married and didn’t want the drama that can come with a big wedding.

Not eloping, but rgstrng the marriage, we already done a great engagement with families, relatives nd frnds.. I just don't want to go through all those drama nd tension of a big wedding..

Normally, I would say that 11 years difference isn't a big deal, then I remember that Chris is in his early 20's. :) In my last relationship there was a 9 year difference (I was the younger one). HOWEVER, we met when I was Ian's age, so I had already "grown up" (Sorry Chris) and had had my share "life experience". As you two get older, the age difference will matter less and less.
I wanna thank you guys for coming out to the world cause I'm still scared telling my mother about me being trans and pansexual, and I found you guys on my recommendation page and I just honestly find you guys as role models so thank you
I’m also trans and pan. Some advice on coming out, a good way to come out can be to send your parents a video while either you or them are out of the house so they have some time to process and calm down. That way you can have an open and honest talk where everybody’s calm.

I really don't want to offend in this question, and I know when people say that it's because they know what they are about to ask is blatantly offensive, but I truly don't personally think it's offensive, but sometimes people surprise you by being offended by legitimate questions. Anyhow, if you are trans, how do you hide that from your parents? I myself am a bisexual woman, who has been in only lesbian relationships, but have been intimate with more men than women ( can only fall in love with women but sexually attracted to men) I went thru a phase where I thought because I was a lady lover, that I had to become a man. Found after 2 rounds of T, it wasn't for me. Made me extremely angry and restless. And realized I wanted to someday bare children myself. Luckily I was blessed with an accepting family, who knew I was "gay" before I did lol. But yeah, how do you hide being trans from your family? Are they against the LGBTQ+++ community? Have you asked the "what would you do if...?" questions? I know everyone's situation is different, and coming out is easier for some but absolutely not ok for others. I hope that you have a successful coming out, and are safe and happy.
My daughter told me at 20 years old. I wish she could have sooner. I hope you have a positive experience. Nothing would make me reject my child. Her identity is her own and no one else.

I liked that they talked about people experiencing different things in life, cause it’s true. My boyfriend grew up in an abusive household and most of the things I’ve experienced he hasn’t. And I feel like that’s a conversation that should take place more
I really liked Chris’ answer to the age gap. Relationships from with partners coming from different cultures, countries, ages, states, whatever will cause differences and maybe difficulties. It’s all about patience and communication 🙏🙌

Its so interesting because you guys have such a healthy relationship but definitely have different views on certain aspects than I do. I think people need different things and you guys seem to find what works for you. Ultimately communication is what’s important.
