I have found that using a switch maybe not be that effective if you have to find the switch (when you are about to crash ect) What I have done is use the accelerometer function (if you have that enabled in the Jeti tx) and I have this coupled with a three logic switches so that rescue is enabled when in FM2 and FM3. So start flying with FM1 (no rescue enabled) switch to FM2/3 and rescue becomes available and activates when the tx is brought up to a near vertical position. This is much quicker to activate than trying to find a switch in panic mode. 😬The logic switches stop accidentally activating rescue when the heli is on the ground or being carried around.
I believe radio manufacturers (including Jeti) generally advice against using the radio gyro/accelerometers for "critical" functions. The Mikado VBC Touch radio has internal gyro/accelerometers, but Mikado has not allowed assigning any functionality to them other than bringing up the main menu. I personally have used the Jeti accelerometers ONLY for speaking telemetry values. However, after all these years of using the Jeti gyros/accelerometers, they consistently performed without issues. I may try out using the accelerometers during flight for activating the "Rescue", but I would use a logical function to make sure "Rescue" is only active during flight, and never on the ground or during an autorotation.
You can just select the bank and then select the type of function you want under that bank. ie Auto, Acro ect. Assign the bank switch to your flight mode switch.

So how do you add different rescues to different flight modes ie auto rescue to bank 1 and acro to bank 2…..thank you….ps great series of videos..
I can think of different options. I'll play around with it and report back.
