    💲 NEED FINANCIAL ADVICE? 💲
    1) Google "fee-only financial adviser" or visit www.NAPFA.org (largest association of fee-only financial advisers). NOT an affiliate link
    2) The first question to ask any financial adviser is, "Are you a fiduciary to me 100% of the time". Get the answer in writing
    3) Please note that some people call themselves "fee-based". This is NOT the same as fee-only. Fee-only advisers have committed to being fiduciary to you 100% of the time.
    4) Personally, I would only hire an adviser who is a fiduciary to me 100% of the time. This is not a suggestion on what you should do. Just sharing my personal preference.
    ⚠️ Azul's "Scammer" Warning ➡ PLEASE READ! ⚠️
Be careful of scammers. In the comments section, I will NEVER ask you to contact me, offer any investment products, recommend a stock broker, or anything similar. Some scam bot commenters 'ask' for investment help, and later, other comment bots reply with "how great X idea/investment/person is" in the replies. These are scam threads. Do not fall for them.
🚨 Azul's VIDEOS ARE NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE (Disclaimer) 🚨
This information is only provided as an informational resource and should not be viewed as investment advice or recommendations. To get professional financial advice from a fee-only financial advisor near you, please visit www.napfa.org.
The decisions on how to invest, when to retire, and other financial planning topics are some of the most important financial decisions you will make in your life. I urge you to seek professional financial advice as you make this decision. Ideally, from a financial adviser, AND a CPA AND an attorney. Having the perspective of all three professions will help you make the right decision for you and your family.
This information is being presented without consideration of the investment objectives, risk tolerance, or financial circumstances of any specific investor and may NOT be suitable for all investors.
This information is NOT intended to, and should NOT, form a primary basis for any investment decision that you may make. Always consult your own legal, tax, and/or investment advisor before making any investment/tax/estate/financial planning considerations or decisions.
Spoiler Alert: There are no "get rich" programs. Rather, just basic blocking & tackling and putting in time and care. Do your homework, choose wisely and (IMHO) work with experienced professionals who are fiduciary to you 100% of the time.

We started our bucket list when husband turned 50. The grown kid already runs their own retirement and finances. They are very aware there is no bank of mom and dad. We are FI and minimalist. We now fill our life with at least 2 cool new experiences per month. 25% into retirement and we blow the rest. We have to have fun now before our parents get sick and need some day to day assistance.

Great content as always Azul!! Long time, first time here.
Your perspective of not just planning, but philosophical views of getting ourselves ready for retirement are really insightful.
I'm turning 52, so probably right in the wheelhouse of your target audience. I'm currently in the middle of my life, 5 kids, 2 in college, youngest twins going in 4 years, so my plans are coming together to finish our child support model.
On the point of supporting your kids, we set a clear budget with our kids for college and they are working on their own to either fill gaps if their school choice is expensive, or planning what to do with the extra money. Having these open conversations with our kids has really helped me personally to keep my personal goals in view, which I agree with you is important!
    Keep up the great content!!

For a micro second I'm going to now feel sorry for people who are perpetually angry and for those who are incapable, for one reason or another, of having any sort of happy relationship. Whew, glad that's over. Now back to my life as described in this video. Might could use a bit more cash, but I'll get along just fine. Love my good health, love taking care of myself, love my wife and kids. First set of kids are struggling, but they have their youth, which makes them richer than me. So they'll get along.
One way or another - we'll live our lives. How happy your are is entirely up to you. Listen to this video but, hey dude, only 1000 weeks left? Ouch. That hurts.

For example we snorkeled the Galapagos, much tougher and you need to be a strong swimmer and you play with agressive seals, penguins, sharks, rays and Iguanas and hiked Machu Pichu.. we have a whole list like that. But we can only do 2-3 a year do to me still working full time.

It really isn't THAT difficult to time the stock market to a degree. You are never going to hit the exact peak or bottom but you can still avoid part of a 50% crash. IBD does a pretty good job of predicting market fundamentals. If you want to set it and forget it long term you will probably be ok but on a short/medium term basis a little effort can save you some big money. I suspect a S and P peak and then a large crash by the end of October. There are times when the market languished for decades and it might be a long while before you recover.
