Dhanush's range of emoting is simply unbelievable. I think he has nailed the perfect and often elusive combo of intensity through subtlety.

    1. When Dhanush stands up for Sara in Tamil Nadu

    3. After he saves Akshay's life and walks out in the rain smoking with teary eyes 🔥
    4. Climax portion between Akshay and Sara...got me scared as fu*k

@@ThereYouGoFromHere you know I also liked they showed that how the young sara was being carried away by akshay, who was just her imagination, right at the end of the film with the music of rait zara si playing in the background, where, somehow I teared up the most. This was a metaphorical scene for me, where sara's father came back to her, albiet through her mental illness to protect her from loneliness and give her strength, and when he realized that sara has found her soul mate he bid her farewell, which implies her disease, was cured. This last scene was very beautiful. The whole movie is great.

    • @ThereYouGoFromHere

@@ritwiksingh71 yes, it was extremely emotional. Did you notice how Dhanush picked Sara her up in the last scene - it was same as how Akshay carried baby Sara in her imagination. For her the whole circle was complete, the love and protection she was craving for all her life, she found it in Dhanush. Indeed the movie has beautiful detailing.

I love the small detail with Rinku vs her mom. Her mom always had a fresh look with the pinned hair, clean face. Rinku on the other hand looked more like boyish at times, black-laced necklace trademark, and a simple ponytail. It made sense that in "her memories" that she told Vishu on the train, she didn't even look like her character. It's because it was her mom! Wow.

To get attracted to a bubbly girl can be easy.
As the character has never been in love or is attracted to the girl he was going to be engaged.
Obviously he was attracted to the bubbly and approachable kind hearted girl.
And yeah they should have included more scenes before he actually fell for the female lead.
      2nd half was little boring.

I recently lost my father, and I could feel the pain and insecurity which led Sara's character to have her father as hero. A girl feels most safe with father. It takes time to have the same level of trust and protection with husband. I am in love with Dhanush's character. Agree with Jammy the characters needed more than a song to show the falling in love part from Dhanush's side. Loved the movie. A r Rehman did it again.

While watching the movie I didn't feel toxicity in Dhanush's act when he broke bottles on his head. Though I don't support it, I felt that his character was so drunk at that moment, he couldn't realise the difference between right and wrong. However, I didn't feel same when he had cut his wrist in Ranjhana, and for me that was literally toxic.
I must say Dhanush is the best actor for romantic genre as he touches your heart with deep emotion.

For those who are saying vishu’s feelings for Rinku changed overnight,no it didn’t.If you watch the movie seriously from the very beginning and if you pay attention to little details you’ll get to know that Vishu never loved his fiancé mandy, he was worried about his degree and he thought he is doing a great thing (career wise) by marrying his dean’s daughter! He feared mandy so much that he climbed to a electric pole to talk to her and mandy wasn’t even interested in the relation she was all about her own life and marriage and there was no love between them actually even rinku said the same thing when she listened vishu and mandy's story and vishu agreed on that yes actually he is gonna do a arrange marriage though he presents it as a love marriage. It was kinda forced thing. On the other hand Vishu prolly fall in love with Rinku when he saw her in the train station and it happened a love at first sight but he didn’t realise it then as he was worried that he can’t cheat mandy, it will cost his degree (he was worried about that from the beginning) again coming back when vishu said he has to go to tamil nadu for his marriage and when rinku said she will go with him also, his happiness knew no bound! He was so happy and dancing. He also noticed Mandy had no trust on him as he kept saying he got married accidentally and mandy didn’t even care about him at all. she didn't even listen to him and let her father and the other ppl insult vishu. And on the other hand when rinku was dancing and teasing him he realised he has already kinda fallen for Rinku. It’s not easy to get this Atrangi story completely! I hope it clears things

Laughing gas effect doesn’t last for a day .
And the woman he dated and loved for many years , he just left her for a woman whom he has just met and doesn’t know much about . Why couldn’t they just sit down and talk to clarify the confusion? A Normal intelligent woman would have asked and bothered to check the facts instead of just leaving the marriage .
What was Sara’s family doing all these years when she was attempting to run away every time ? Didn’t they care enough to find who the guy was when she was running alone .

His anger vanished away for a moment when he saw Rinku as his bride. The love that was hidden in his subconscious only grew with every meeting between Vishu and Rinku. But, if Aanand Sir would have given a build up to it, the focus would have entirely shifted from the main point of the movie. It isn't just a love story. I watched the movie last night and my mind has been playing rait zara si on loop ever since.
I read some reviews in the morning and felt shocked how some people outright dismissed the film as a trash film just because of a few cons. I felt that the film was heartfelt and I had a content smile on my face after watching it. I think we should appreciate the magic in the film than being super critical about it.
I think Dhanush's emotional confession halfway through the movie is SO WORTH watching it.

Spoiler Alert- Firstly, hatsoff to you Jammy in the trailer review itself you had said that Akshay Kumar's character might be the imagination of Sara and the story must be about some mental condition and bang on you were right and all those who were complaining about the age gap without watching the movie actually Sara is playing the daughter of Akshay Kumar.
I loved the movie, I saw it first thing in the morning yesterday before going to the office and saw it again after coming back. I don't know why I really liked the movie, for me there wasn't a single boring scene in the movie. Infact when the movie ended I was like why did it end so soon and wanted to see a small video of the married life of Vishu & Rinku.. for me it's a must watch.
And Vishu had fallen for Rinku when he saw her breaking bottles for the first time in the station and the scene where he confesses his love to Rinku in Tamil is for me the best scene and the second best scene is when he says "zabardasti se hua hai shadi par biwi hai meri" that was a seeti maar scene. Dhanush is actually the heart of the film, without him the movie would have been nothing but Sara was also not bad, I can't imagine anyone else as Rinku now.
All in all for me it was a wonderful movie which I'll watch again.

All in all loved the movie and all Dhanush-Sara scenes, Dhanush is such a great actor that I could see love in Vishu's eyes for Rinku when he sees her in his shirt and lungi at his hostel room, the scene after Chaka Chak song where he says biwi hai meri was just icing on the cake, I saw that scene 10-15 times. Also when you really invest yourself in the film, it hits you how emotional it is for someone who has a mental health problem to just see things how they see and how easy it feels for us "normal" people to tell them to accept the reality and expect them to just become sane overnight. Like when MS says in the movie, "mar jaayegi bichari" when Vishu's suggestion is to break Rinku's imaginary bubble by just telling her the truth. Also yes, I don't think someone can even get better after such approaches that Vishu and MS took, but again it's all fictional and not an inspiration for a Psychiatrist's course. Also I can't even imagine how emotional it must be to watch this movie from a woman's perspective. Especially those who have had similar experiences.

Recommended my parents to watch this movie based on the movie's TH-cam trailer video and after a long time, we all loved a movie as a family! I was fond of the song Rait Zara Si and saw Dhanush's acting in the music video and was totally convinced to watch this movie! Excellent performance by Dhanush👏 And I have to say that so far in her acting career, Sara has done the most challenging role in this movie!

This movie is a must watch... Enjoyable... And Dhanush is as always... Amazing ❤❤

@EKLAVYA PRATHABHA VARMA fair then but as a doctor there can't be an accurate depiction of medicine in entertainment media , medicine is a long trial and error method and it would take years of psychic therapy for her to overcome sajjad an imaginary friend that was with her since her childhood

Idk about people, I loved it. A hindi film based on such a subtle subject and beautiful subplots. Dhanush's laughing gas infused cry was especially excellent.

Not a sara fan but she deserves more praise for her performance, as her track record haven’t been so well so far

I just loved Dhanush in this one. Sara had all possible reasons to make it annoying. But Dhanush… My love, has this power to make anything, I mean anything extraordinary. His range of emotions, his expressions, his acting just gets you hooked right from the beginning to end. I mean, I love love love that guy.. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
