As a native Floridian and Floridian since childhood, this is one of our long time favorite Florida State Parks! St. Andrews State Park is located in Panama City, Florida and is close to anything you might want. Here, you can enjoy the Grand Lagoon, or the Gulf of Mexico. There are wetlands in between full of birds and deer. This is a park not to be missed.
What we love about St. Andrews State Park:
    1. Ample size sites
    2. Full Hook Ups!
    3. Sand dunes, wetlands, Grand Lagoon, and the beach on the Gulf of Mexico
    4. Water view and waterfront sites, some are wooded with limited or no water view, but still scenic.
    5. Scenic road to ride your bike, walk your dog, or take a run
    6. Peaceful park
    7. Two scenic trails
    8. Birds and deer
    9. Fishing, from the gulf or the bay
    10. Swimming, surfing, shelling, and a shuttle to Shell Island in season
What we didn't love about St. Andrews State Park:
    1. Dog owners beware - There are sandspurs. They aren't as bad in the campground, but a walk along the park road will have your pup limping.
Heading on down the road to our next stop! Happy travels.

I grew up going to St Andrews SP. My paw paw took my mom and her siblings in the 70s onward. The park was partly destroyed/damaged during hurricane Michael mixed with some tornado weather if I'm not mistaken. Before then all of the campsites looked much like big lagoon in Pensacola, lots of dense vegetation old Florida feel to them. They completely revamped the campground after that. There was also a terpentine mill close to where the sawmill is, was disappointed to see it gone the last time we went back. That road you said was blocked off right up from the boat ramp went directly to the campground before then. Thanks for your video tour.

What an awesome place to visit as a kid! Yes, we noticed changes from a vacation we took years ago. We camped in a tent right by the water and we were able to dock our boat right there on the shore. Deer came into our campsite. It was quite different. We did enjoy our return visit, though. This area of Florida is simply stunning. Thank you for sharing this information. 😊👋

This is freedom for us. 👍There are all kinds of campers, stationary folks, boondockers, resort rvers, part-timers, full-timers, and more. We like state parks and COE parks. That's our camping style. Whatever your camping style is, happy camping! 😊👋
