this. for years and years we always preferred cats of doing almost all of this. now every companion pet sentinel is viable. i freakin love this + fckin hydroid is now top 5 frames wtf?

Companions were always this super fun layer to builds... Except the vast majority of them did practically nothing.
I've wanted sentinels reworked since forever, we're finally here! WF is all about interactions, seeing which roles you can relegate to different chunks of your builds to free up space elsewhere depending on nuances. Nautilus, the dig dog, Adarza and so much more, this is pretty huge.

True. It's broken in comparison to how it used to be I suppose. Like I'm using a Hound and it can kill things at lvl cap in a 10m radius but it's not broken.

@@Thominouche I'm using the mod that decreases cooldowns and the one that gives Hounds the bubble that pulses 90% of the dmg they take. Sure, it can be annoying to some but I never have an issue with it so it fits with my playstyle
@@Helperishere oh yeah that one , yeah it's like the mod that take the eximus aura, the frost one can be annoying when it blocks your shot but still i'm glad we can make hounds work now
Considering armor stripping is extremely common now, this seems like a great alternative. I dont see why this would be nerfed as we have other options and this is on the slower end but still pretty useful. People really got trauma over DE nerfing things and I totally get why but I dont think this will die.
They even accept Shield Gating Abuse to be a thing, they turned it into a feature literally.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE: the bonus HP provided by restorative bond is NOT considered by equilibrium, meaning you will still get 55 energy per HP or you pick up

Have that mod on you pet and pickup a single HP orb. If it works it should give you 121 energy. If it doesn't it should give you 55 instead. Its NOT hard to investigate

I'm fairly certain Duplex Bond's stipulation of "clones cannot use abilities" means the clones do not armor strip. They cannot use precept mods.
Hey, it is CosmicDellyrium here, so... In concept you are right, but there is a problem, we don't know if the AOE is from the main shoots or the ghosts, but for some reason when the ghosts are in the field the armor strip is MUCH much faster, not only that it is also consistent!
So for real, my theory is that they cannot PROCC the armor strip, but once an enemy is hit by the main helios the ghosts can continue the armor strip.
It’s shattering impact that’s doing the stripping, not abilities. It counts as melee hits.

The Primed Regen is bugged, causing helios to deal more damage than intended to, that's probably going to get fixed. But as for the armor strip x primer thing, that's most likely going to stay.

Heat damage can really help DPS on unarmored targets(and helps stripping armor a bit itself), perhaps building the melee for heat + corrsive, and using the fired up mod might be worth it.

There was a bug where primed regents specifically made helios shoot much much faster

Could probably push the build even further without the range mods. Iirc range mods only push the targeting range further and 30m is already a lot. Probably I'd put a faction mod and condition overload in place of them
@@brummyuk2151 No, @giggitgooquag is correct just look at the wiki entry for Reach. It specifically mentions Deconstructor and melee range only increases the throw range for glaive-like weapons, not their explosion radius (which Deconstructor doesn't have anyways) or projectile hitbox.
Just a heads up this is a bug, for some reason regen is giving him alot more fire rate for his weapon

2:52 Restorative Bond does NOT affect equilibrium! It’s not a bug either! Only reason to run this is for super fast regen!

We are so used to companions being nearly useless that once they can do something it’s “broken”.
Ahh, another blocking angle sword and shield build!
Not like I'll be using this strip with Maim Equinox etc., but for Xaku and some others, what a well conforming fit. Also, I wonder what the max kps we can get on companions will be, and what their contribution may be to npc-frame. (Thralls/Shadows/Wukong/Duality/actual specters/chaos and assistance like Nourish/M. Prime/Sonar etc. etc.)
Shade can be nice there too btw., to keep the Sonar spamming Banshee etc. alive and comfy while Revenant runs whatever is otherwise best. Nautilus seems like a great support for NPC KPS too. We could look into operators coming into play too, I love gimmicks like this. Lockdown is a decent one for keeping your army alive, at least if there's a dip in your numbers, but I bet there's stronger synergies. Magus Anomaly should be good if Nautilus is opted against, maybe just in general.
As a Mag main, I also gotta wonder if there's any fun to be had here with Magnetize. Fracturing Crush helps them for sure, pull can, it's kinda overwhelming how much this added. (Which is a great thing)
Considering that you can just use terrify on Xaku, and do this like 10 times faster, is not worth it.
@@CrisHermetica I agree it's a sidegrade at best, straight up downgrade when in a team who'd benefit much more from Terrify's coverage. You could totally free up a Helminth, potentially worth it, but Xata's also conflicts with good alternatives, and grouping is just kinda... Why not strip everywhere and move around instead? There's always Nautilus if you don't want a Wyrm or something.
I suppose this works for camping where you also don't want them to move away/be slow, but even then Terrify is often just one strip option that has more map coverage and consistency, good teams usually account for this problem much more consistently. (Sentinels die too)
An unreliable strip is also one you can't capitalize on as effectively, this is mostly relevant for ability nukes like Maim and Magnetize etc. since you can just stay on anti-armor builds like viral/slash with strong weapons, usually no need to swap to try-hard heat/toxin/raw viral etc.
I had some idiot tell me they patched this cause it ''Invalidates a whole mechanic''.
Other side of the same coin of people who instead always complain youtuber showcases will get stuff nerfed... Yeah, only cause you all act like it's way stronger than it is, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy for as long as the devs let these people drown out good feedback.
@@Gnurklesquimp2 Well devs always pay attention to youtubers making this type of videos acting like something is way broken than it is, for example, in this video, the only reason behind Helios being able to delete level cap enemies, is because Primed Recovery is bugged and make Helios deal way more dmg than it should, but like i said, even with the bug, you can still do the same even faster and in way bigger range, i used the example of Xaku because that was your example, but i usually put Gyre as an example mine uses Pillage both for armor strip which i can do in one cast, and for shield gating, it also strip energy shield so it also work against corpus and corrupted, after the strip, Gyre just need to exist and everything in the area die. For base steel path that combo is enough to just run around and everything close to her die at the moment they enter in range with Gyre, so is way broken than Xaku with Terrify, and of course way more broken than this new strat. But it doesn't stop there, pretty much every frame can use either Terrify or Pillage to acomplish the same goal, and most frames can kill everything in sight faster than any sentinel, so no, is not broken, this guy just is overexaggerating, but that's the reason because we can't have cool stuff in Warframe, because youtubers like him, calling everything broken even when is way worst than what we have right now.
I am quite surprised - I run Helios for his scanning ability for a while now and contrary to this video my Helios has a really fragile mindset. If he kills anyone, he refuses to attack till I restart the game.
I’m pretty new so I could be dumb when I say this but I feel like warframe is the perfect game to have broken and funny/fun builds. I come from destiny and they are always nerfing something (most of the time for pvp reasons) and it’s fine if they nerf something because it’s too strong but making it not even a viable choice because it’s so bad now kinda sucks. I’m MR 7 have 5 frames now and I haven’t felt i simply can’t use one of them (I’m not done w the star chart yet so maybe that’s why)

The thing is about warframe, unless it is inherently overpowered and entirely rules the meta (AOE, Maiming Strike, etc..), it won’t really get nerfed. As long as it’s contained within mods, not a bug and simply game mechanics, it’s more than likely here to stay.

Please stop recommending primed reach for glaive type weapons as it does absolutely nothing for increasing is range. It slightly increases projectile width but for the purposes of this build it’s still useless.
The majority of the strength in this is because of the mod regen. If you don't believe me just take off the mod and you'll see that the setup is not as good. I don't actually know why it acts like that, but the mod regen is causing this bug. Unfortunate, but I really wish we could have sentinel dps without this though. Also, primed reach doesn't do anything on your sentinel, the attack range is still single target, and it doesn't increase the targeting range either, same thing with spring loaded blade.
if you want sentinel dps, the verglas is the way to go, it doesn't strip armor, but it does decent damage, especially if you're on a high energy cost frame that can maintain all 3 clones from duplex bond. they won't be clearing rooms for you, but it's still nice.
Im actaully falling in love with the null audit hound build i made it just keeps cloning and deflecting dmg and spawning infinite orbs for me

Cosmic here, so, with xaku you can go do disruption, NEVER shoot your weapons and go to level cap with helios... Fun!
I really love this, companions being your "primer" is something that should have been in the game for a long time now. Having weapons just to prime and swapping between in my opinion really takes away from what makes warframe, warframe for me. I should be able to run around like a psycho killing everything not, let me walk up, group it all, prime it all swap to other weapon and boom kill it.
Tbf, you still can lvl cap survival and just one shot everything with a glaive explosion lol. Casting 1 armour strip ability in the middle of your gameplay is not that deep.

The issue is you cant use the crit damage bond because deconstructor has 0 crit rate (you need 50+). Also helios doesnt have sufficient shields to run the fire rate mod with the shield mod.
Given the above I don't like this build since it basically only provides armor strip (and a bit of single target damage) where armor strip is easily accessible on many frames by default in this day and age or via a helminth on those who do not have access to it natively. I think crit damage buff and fire rate buffs are substantially more important.
If u run the shield mod "calculated Redirection" on helios and just reload your weapon once you'll actually reach the 1200 shields required to give the extra fire rate
@@filthycasual690 yes, however that is inconsistent since once he gets damaged you lose the buff. You can use auto reload mods like synth deconstruct to make it happen on swap but it's annoying. Wyrm ALWAYS has it.

if u looking for mroe range whirlwind is more accurate i believe, primed reach only increase hitbox for glaive type weapons (as helios uninstalls part of itself to be the glaive to attack)
Reach only increases the hitbox of the projectile.
Update: Helios is 100% broken because of a bug with Prime Regen mod that multiplies its fire rate.
100% will get nerfed/fixed.

i do love to see some companions dealing good damage, quite happy with a lot of the update but still some things could use work like the vulpaphylas (ya know the infested cats that inspired the respawn time mechanic) dont benefit from bond mods quickening revive time and animal companions still hardly deal damage due to bad AI and having to mod their damage in their main build instead of separately.
Then run helios! It took me like 3h to figure this build but, to be honest, people will make it better!
They should have separate modding system between weapon and the animal itself

Exactly yet doesn't try to fluff out the run time for extra ads like some of the others *cough* Layzar *cough* and actually learns the basics before trying to pump out a build video a dnot try to rush to be the 1st at the expense of having a build that is worse than unmodded *cough* too many to list *cough*

After testing in Simulacrum:
- Range on Deconstructor is useless, it will attack starting with 30m in any case, so no need for Primed Reach/Spring-loaded Blade
- Duplex Bond clones don't strip so useless too
- Not entirely sure if Primed Fury has any effect, seems to be rather hard to notice, Helios is shooting with roughly the same speed - if someone can confirm it works/doesn't, would be nice
For now I swapped Reach for Pressure Point. Still, a very nice reliable armorstrip

More damage and procs ...
Duplex Bond do strip caused by Shattering Impact, but at the slower rate than the main Helios because the no-abilities thing. The thing is the clones do chase enemies further, so it can start stripping before your main does.
There's no way they left this in the game its too strong xD. Imma abuse while I can haha
Edit: Yup, my comment has been predicted, I really hope they don't, seens very funny and I have the helios on ordis skin so it just looks funny to send ordis to take down enemies.
So from what i am hearing it can work with any sentinel since their weapon can be any weapon. Unless i am missing something

Bond mods' naming scheme makes me think you weren't supposed to be able to use more than one at a time.

Im honestly surprised no one suggested the precept mod Targeting Receptor to deal with the prime Regen patch. This mod guarantees 3 glaives. Plus, what about using detect vulnerability and possibly throwing on fired up (so going heat/corrosive or heat/viral)?
i tried build and mine is not stripping or attacking so fast. I need 2 rounds of attacks and i need like 6 seconds to strip the armor. Even speeding up companion with volt. How is attacking so fast?
There was a bug where helios would shoot faster if you had primed regen specifically equipped at the time

I've been considering shattering impact on my Helios for a while now, but it didn't have the survivabbility up untill now. But now that you've made this I kinda have to try it.

Been using deconstructor - Viral and fire to Heat Inherit and BOI I am never using another sentinel again. [Fired up] is multiplicative to heat damage proportion in weapon (Assume they did not change the calculation.), roar and bring a secondary to continuously apply heat, plus armor strip? Bruh... I even brought contagious bond to keep spreading the heat and viral for me. Sentinel is real broken now.
IMPORTANT! This will get nerfed because it is a PRIME REGEN BUG. After testing prime Regen cause insane attack speed! This i 100% this is a bug.
How do +range mods effect the deconstructor?
The glaive has an invisble un-told aoe aspect to it, the armor strip is aoe when these mods are placed and the aoe is reduced without them... How does a reach mod gives better hidden aoe? Only DE knows.

simple put arnor not a thing after upto 3 sec of enemies in sight. this indicates new enemies will have new type of armour where armor stripe will not work. as DE did befor with mechanical shields we may not see a nerf but will get some new bosses that are immune to armor strip instead. so be ready when those arrive.
tried this, and it appears that whatever was making this strip incredibly fast has either been nerfed or fixed if it was a bug. so if youre just watching this. its not worth building imo.
it was primed regen and was fixed a long time ago the second build i show in this video with Condition Overload is still a nice option for using a helios but is no longer as broken as i showed in this video
ok, bummer tho. I really liked the idea of having a companion do the armor stripping for me. do you have other builds that work better? maybe hounds? or is helios the only way to go for a companion armor stripper due to deconstructor? @@Nnnnx1
Restorative Bond doesn´t work with Equilibrium. It´s still a good mod.

Viscous bond seems to not spred the armor strip with any of mesas abilities
Uhh range isn't important as the sentinel will only attack enemies in a 30 meter radius.
Sure it will make its projectile travel farther, but it won't target enemies outside 30 meters

The nautilus weapon verglas was able to kill high level enemies without any of the new companion mods

Seems very slow to strip when i do it. Only mod I dont have is spring loaded blade. The glaives from the sentinal weapon start and stop and the fire rate is terrible. Already nerfed from a hot fix?
Spring loaded blade doesnt actually work on deconstructor.
Not sure why but, yours in the video shoots way faster then mine and i made sure that none of the helios mods dont have a firerate increase/projectile speed increase for the deconstructor currently i put the status mods,whirlwind, and primed reach,shattering impact and Quick Return
You can take off prime reach and shattering impact. You want attack speed and projection flight speed.
@@kizersosay28 the only attack speed mod available for deconstruct is Primed Fury / Berserker Fury (can't equip both). So you can slot Shattering Impact for the clone do strip that way

Now put on Eclipse plus Total Eclipse augment.
Add Detect Vulnerability on the Helios build. You can replace Primed Animal Instinct since all frames have passive enemy radar.

Why does my helios shoot or throw different then yours? Armor strip takes ages. Yours is throwing multiple glaives. Mine is not
Okay I got it now. Its a 100% glitched. Primed regen and also normal regen, for whatever reason, it shoots multiple glaives. Thats why the armor strip is so strong. If this ist gonna get fixes, which I am pretty sure of because its not intendet to do so, its useless

This is not a new interaction it has always been like this.
Also, heavy gunner is 400 armor? There are units with 1000 and maybe more. It takes much longer for shattering impact at lvl 9999 I've tested. I haven't tested vicious bond yet, but I would assume it's still slower then 1 second and hits less targets.
It's great for most things even short time steel path but if ur going cap just use a 1 second ability rather than waiting more then 1 second.
Don't forget Moas also use melee mods.
Man, sometimes you need armor stripping and your build is too tight or you cant run a specific mod, this is for this situation and most of the game! If you have a stripping build already just enjoy the busted dmg build.

You did take it to level cap for sure, but Don't think it was your sentinel that killed those thrax enemies, your helios armor stripped them, and your second ability guns killed them
This is NOT a proof that sentinels are a DPS tools strong enough for level cap
I do however love to see you make a build that uses your sentinel and sentinel only as the damage source against level cap enemies and mini bosses (thrax, demos, acholytes)
i am going to experiment with this further i do however believe that sentinal can dps effectively just need to work it out

Two questions btw, you didn't explain properly how range effects deconstructor, nor WIKI has anything to say about it. So whats its actual effect?
Why not use volatile quick return instead? Cause theoretically each hit would also explode in a 3 meter radious

Probably, it attacks the first enemy in 30m range anyways, I don't see how extra range helps.

@miguelroberto7651 Oh, you poor innocent newbie, there are so many ways to strip armor with sentinels and even excluding the moa weapons that can go on sentinels, there's still plenty of other ways with rivens, arcanes, and 60/60 mods

2 things I want to say:
First, look at the time it takes to kill just one enemi. Yes it is a sentinel but remember why explosive weapon were nerfed ? Remember why assault rifle were not that popular ? In a game where warframe ability and literal nuke exist, having one sentinel being able to solokill a level cap heavy gunner is actually not that impressive at all.
Second, this is a relatively heavy investement for just being able to solokill a few mobs and a relatively specialized setup.
This is not broken, this is what Sentinel should have been for a long time, something that can do more than just vacuum and occasional resurection. And to be fair this pet update so far is one of my favorite update since....man I dont even know when was the last time a QoL changes made me this happy to play the game.
this doesn't just take 1 enemy on this completely strips all enemies in your immediate area running with xaku is good because xakus gun can take everything out too but i do believe i havent still figured out sentinals full potential yet
just a heads up this doesnt work while in stealth =P
