Sumitra, My understanding is that this scholarship applies to University-wide rank holders. But there are many types of institutions in India, so I would advise you to double-check with your college/university administration staff.
It is a bit unclear from the UGC guidelines. As far as I can understand, Rank is for the complete undergraduate course and whole university including all colleges affiliated to it, whereas position refers to a particular year and in one college only.
Sir I joined in PG 2021 recently 8n our institutions we did not know the admission no. Of us..still admission process is going on...so what we should do...what we fill in the place of admission no. Column....plz reply sir
Konkathi, I think you can consult your institution's administrative office people for clarification. They must have some sort of temporary number to keep track of your admission, and you can use it.

I see. In that case, do contact the administrators of your department (Head, or Finance Officer) to make sure your application is cleared from department. You'll get the full amount in one installment.

That's weird. The status means that it has been processed by your university, but it is stuck at the govt. office. Hopefully, it will be released soon. You can also try calling them directly to enquire about the status.

Hello Kamalini, Kindly check on the website if Geography is one of the approved disciplines. I am almost sure it is, as it comes under physical sciences. But kindly confirm. A gap year is not a problem. The only limitation is age limit.

Zabiulla, I would suggest you to go by the UGC format, because it specifically mentions rank and all other details clearly.

At scholarships.gov.in/, check under UGC/AICTE schemes - I just checked. You'll have to register also.
