The xenomorph from covenant was originally called the protomorph , but idk if it still is, but the designers of the protomorph wanted it to look more organic instead of being biomechanical looking, but im glad they kept some of the original bio tubes on the back, the figure matches what they went for, i hope ridley scott continues to show the evolution and biological world of the xenos
It doesn’t make sense because they were laughing at the aliens in avp and then did it I guess the only way to think about it if the aliens in avp were protomorphs
It is probably the best alien neca ever made from the color to detail the tail again is helpful with standing and the best review ive seen on this alien

This is my favorite Xenomorph design before it was the Alien Vs Predator design but I have always had Digitigrade legged Xenomorphs as my second especially one that has the Big Chap head Design... And when I saw this design of this Xenomorph I have decides it is now my favorite. For Information upon the word I have said wich was the word Digitigrade legs if people don't know what it means It is basically legs this Xenomorph has. And the Isolation Xenomorph and the Lurker Xenomorph and Dog Xenomorph. Basically one forward knee and at the lower Calve a backwards from the appearance of the upper knee.
spot the reason some of the things on it are different to older xenomorphs is because this one you've reviewed isn't actually a pure xenomorph. its like raw cookie dough. its nice but it just needs to go in the cooker for a while and then it'd be completed
I have one on the way, I'm really interested to see how it stacks up to the AVP xeno. So far i think the AVP version is one of the best all around molds for looks and posing. This version might give it a run for its money.
This one is a superb designed Xenomorph! It shows that it`s based on huge parts of human DNA, the chest area looks exactly like a human ribcage instead of the strange and rather ugly chest area designs all other aliens had, the translucent dome has a human-like skull underneath. I really like that design best, it`s monstrous and eerie and shows eerie parts of human anatomy like skull and ribcage formed to a grotesk and terrific creature. In the next Alien Isolation 2 or Colonial Marines 2 game the developers should use this design for the new alien, and movie makers should use this design for future new alien movies. And I now have made my final choice which Neca Alien will lurk sneak and hunt on my movie shelf :)
Well have a Predator so know will need a few Xenos. My game play of the AvP Arcade game though so where leaning but I really dig this look and no I haven't seen the film. Didn't see that earlier one either.

I thought it was a statue but it was a action figure. NECA deserves a huge award for that! Not huge ,mega, ultra, infinity, awards for this action figure masterpiece. I would use it for drawing and practice!
Hey buddy, I have both figures, I love them both dearly, the covenant figure is very creepy and good for vanilla poses and eerie poses. The Alien 3 xenon is badass and excellent for dynamic poses :)

The one thing I don’t like about this figure is it’s too slim, at least to me. I know it was slim in the movie but I meant that about the design as the whole.

I can't fine a genuine neca anywhere. I got a bootleg which is terrible, bent legs and wrong paint, it's pathetic, bloody China! I got the mini version from hobby link Japan though, it's quite nice.
it's 0% neca fault it doesn't look like the one in the film, they were shown a Suit which was later removed from the film and replaced with CGI. It looks just like the source neca was shown
Its a great looking figure, but not like the movie version. A quick google search can confirm that for you. Even NECA acknowledged it on Twitter a few times.

My xenomorph figure 's skull is more translucent in the back then in the front. Dose the translucency differ with each model?

I got mine today and the dome is not trasluce, I cnat see inside unless I put it on a very high light also the mouth was badly colored
