    Thank you for having the ONLY gasket replacement video to show how the spark plug tube gaskets are supposed to look before and after and explaining about bending the tabs back for the 3.5L toyota engine.

    This video will be the best I have seen if he had part 2 the rear

      Hey thanks for watching. Unfortunately the vehicles owner had already replaced the rear gasket previously and then it started leaking from the front valve cover so that’s why I only had the chance to repair the front. I apologize for the confusion.

    Really good video and explaining! Kinda wish you would have tacked the rear one..

      Hey thanks for watching and happy to hear you enjoyed the video. Unfortunately the person this car belongs to only wanted to repair the one that was causing the leak. I tried to get him to let me do the rear but he rejected. Sorry. Hope you subscribe!

    I noticed the the upper "dog bone" motor mount is wore out imo i would have replaced it while i was there. And also clean the valve cover with some brake cleaner before reinstalling it 😊.otherwise great video. 😊

    Hey bro cab u please link the gasket kit on ebay or etc and quick question how do you keep track of all the screws and bolts u takeoff?

    • @ucanfixit1
      @ucanfixit1  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey thanks for watching. I actually went to Advanced Auto Parts and bought the kit there. As for the screws I kinda have a good memory from doing it so much but what you can do is either take pictures or a video of everything before you start or get a shoe box or something and poke holes in it and put the screws in there kind of in the same shape as the valve cover to help you keep track of them. Hope this helped.

      @@ucanfixit1thanks brother I don’t have much mechanical experience, but should I just change the front like you did the back gasket looks too hard to do for someone like me.

      @@reyc3709 well to be honest if it’s leaking then yes but if it’s not leaking I wouldn’t mess with it.

    the tube seals seem to be upside down. take a look at "Tips for installing press-in-place valve cover gasket" by Fel-Pro Gaskets.

      Hey thanks for watching. I really appreciate the tip we actually put them exactly in the same orientation as the old ones that came out were. Looks like the originals might have been incorrect as well.

    Tube seals upside down. The OEM are different so it's hard to tell. The instructions that come with the fel pro tell you

      @@ScubaCat3 hey thanks for watching. We put them in exactly how the vehicle manufacturer recommended because we seen the felpro instructions but chose to go the route the vehicle manufacturer suggested. So far no issues thanks for the tip I’ll actually try the felpro way next time to see if there’s any difference.
