I'm from Cornwall and from 1986ish we use to cone up for 5 days the first time I ever stood inside the pleasure Beach, there was a terror warning as there was a mp conference I couldn't live in the hisses so close. To the funfair. There was a amusement arcade near the tower , it had a indoor roller coasteresk type ride and the yellow brick rd from film wizard of oz. The amount of people that was there on holiday was unbelievable
These coaster walks are most impressive, beautiful views and a different perspective on the park. I love the big one sound track and audio. Thanks for the video
Guys that looked amazing well done on doing it and thanks for putting the video out for us fans to enjoy im looking forward to being there in July i cant wait its been a long time from summer 2019.
Great video is this Scott and Mark. In your element as two of the biggest Big One fans in the country. That brake run, midcourse brake trim brakes aswell as the end of the chain lift before the drop did it for me.👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it Scott. I've done the standard walk the big one which was really good. Can't see me paying the extra for the XL experience though . They really need to add in the maintenance area for the XL .
Presume that was filmed after park closure on Friday, that was my first ever time on the big after putting it off for 3-4 years. Great ride great video👍
Fantastic I loved the beginning talking about the station… I remember watching the BPB TV series talking about the innovative and unprecedented design of the station and stating that If they can fit a station in the area then they can build a coaster Out of curiosity what do they do in a roll back situation on the big one? How do they recover the train?
@@yourexperienceguide glad you enjoyed the tour, I’d love to walk big one or Big Dipper in the future. If possible could you give me quick logistics overview of roll back scenarios? Do they need a crane or is there something else in place? Always keen to learn more, thanks
@@tuberantz4676 not sure I’m going to have to take a look on Google and see if there’s any big one roll back information That’s why they won’t run it in strong winds
What happens if the Big One does fail to complete the circuit due to high winds, what happens to the trains? Are they lifted off the track and then put back on?
I am so happy that black pool is taking such good care of this big american coaster. Arrow coasters in america are treated like trash. The only few that are kept up nice are viper at magic mointain, magnum at cedar point, space mountain at disney world, and matter horn at disney land. The rest are all nocked by enthusists and gp not understanding how much arrow did for the coaster community and is the reason we have massive crazy rides today. If cedar point ever closes magnum i am going to be very pissed off. That ride deserves to get a set of new trains and some track work. Wonder if they could put intamin t bar trains on it.
Magnum XL-200 is a truly special coaster, I will be devastated if they modernise or remove it. The retracking on the Big One is prolonging the lifespan, it’d maybe have to permanently close without the work being done.
@@johnwalton8132 actually. Amanda Thompson has spent most Her time as MD decorating the park. Geoffrey Thompson built the tallest, biggest, most expensive new and innovative rides. It seemed that skipped a generation because Icon is super smooth, slower than you drive on the motorway, has no loop the loop inversion, no vertical up or down moment and spends the whe time going left then right. Every other spare penny has been on modern style decorations...
@@E69apeTheMatrix420 Yes I kind of follow the park, just does not have the same spark now in my opinion unfortunately,Icon a awesome ride, just feel like the park needs to catch up with the 21st century.
That was mint.... Just goes to show how dangerous it was when them idiots claimbed it with no safety.. Luckily noone slipped and died... But a great vlog again Scott..
What got me here was the BBC sensational report of people walking the tracks. I had to explain to several people that the ride can mostly be walked round by choice and people do, here's the proof.
A special tour with special people! Nice one mate 😊
Excellent evening mate even if the bathroom was caving in when I got home 😭😆
You guys should make a eletric cart that you can drive arround on the track then load all the people up and drive slowly arround the ride lol
Perfect weather for it and certainly a step up (no pun intended) from the previous Walk the Big One experience. This feels like the complete package
Sure is Sean, there is still tickets left if you fancy giving it a go :)

Is the Blackpool guide related to the Vicar on This Country? It's his double, same smile and everything lol
What do you mean?

Very nice experience guys lovely seeing off limits areas
It was fantastic to do
Omg would absolutely love to do that, brilliant
Totally recommend it
Oh this is amazing ide love to do it but wow its so high
Totally recommend it
Love the hoodie!! So simple! “PMBO”
If you know, you know! 😆😆
Haha, classic merch from the mid 2000s :)
Are you part of the RCCGB?
No, we run our own coaster club events. I get on very well with Andy though.
What happens if the Big One does fail to complete the circuit due to high winds, what happens to the trains? Are they lifted off the track and then put back on?
Entirely depends on where it rolls back
Wow would love to do this
Thank you for watching and commenting
Looks amazing, can't wait to do it myself! Do you get the chance to buy the walk the big one merch after?
You do! I bought a t-shirt.
great video.........whats the name of the sound track ......
Big One's official soundtrack
If there was any coaster I could climb in the UK, it would definitely be The Big One
You can still book to do this experience
How much is it to do this my son and the boys would love it make a great present
£150, there is still tickets available
Tracks looking rough on the straight to the curve at the entrance
How is it looking rough? Do you mean the paint work is rough?
So brave
We were harnessed up, the views are incredible and well worth it :)

Wow I just looked into this is £150! I was expecting about £50. I want to but that does seem a little steep. Or am I just being a cheapskate!
Worth the money to me, comparable tours in America are $200 upwards
@@yourexperienceguide OK seems to be the going rate then. I do want to do this. Nearly a priceless opportunity anyway.
Be ok paying that if the money pumped back into the very tired looking park.
