      Good video!
      I also study Crawford's film work, and I predict that he stops Spence regardless if Spence is at 100%! Why? Unlike any boxer in history, Crawford has mastered the technique of intercepting a fighter's POWER punch or flurry to a KO finish or TKO stoppage! I actually said that Crawford would finish Porter by intercepting his combinations. Crawford is the only professional fighter in history that continues to do this! This makes him too difficult to beat. Because of this unique ability, I see him destroying Jeron Ennis too!
      It sounds crazy, but what Crawford does to his opponents is insane. Jeron has not reached that level yet, and he's perceptible to check hooks. Why? At the start of the early rounds, Ennis has a bad habit of running in without cutting off the ring or measuring the distance. And he relies too much on his athleticism, and Sweat Pea pivots to show off without recoiling his guard once he starts getting into his rhythm and switching. So, it'll be best for the Ennis family to stay away from Bud.
      Lastly, a lot of boxing analysts that break down Crawford's fights continuously overlook this unique intercepting technique of Crawford baiting in his opponent's power punch. Because Crawford knows that you're going full force, the counter is double the power, collision, that is exactly like a car crash! When you go back to examine how Crawford gut finished Horn, counter uppercut Benavidez, inside counter to check hooking Mean Machine, low blow but counter gutting Khan, straight-cross-checking Brook, and breaking in between Porter's combination, *there's no question that Crawford finishes Spence!*

      Bruh i love your analysis i agree with you 100% ive been saying the same thing Spence power comes from him setting is feet and puting his head into his opponents chest and digging in with body shots and i think thats why he couldn't knock out both of the Garcias and Porter. As long as bud display the type of movements ,wrestling abilities and switch hitting great counter punches fighting off the back foot hiding his powershots behind his jabs Bud will wear spence down great job bro!

  • @Dagoat1524

    It’s always been simple to me. Crawford has too many boxing weapons in which a lot come from his love for fighting coupled with his iq which is directly related with his ability to retain what he’s learned in training when waters get deep. That’s why he’s dangerous.

    • @bullionsean456
      @bullionsean456 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. Crawford is one of the smartest fighters in boxing today. Idk if Crawford can stop Spence but I definitely think he wins the fight. Spence a tough mofo.

      @@bullionsean456 yeah I don’t think so either but then again Terrence Crawford’s punch placement is what makes him dangerous. Spence’s probing jab and inside punch placement make him dangerous. Who ever gains rhythm first wins maybe

      Countering anything and everything Errol does in my opinion is the only way to beat Spence. But, MOVEMENT is also very important and establishes the position to counter, which is why Shaun Porter went 12 rounds with Spence and Ugas didnt. Porter moved well enough and gave Spence "looks" and was strong and slick enough to negate some of Errol's strengths, plus he punched back. Ugas tried to just counter and nothing else. That style worked against Pac, because Pac is small and likes to jump in and out but Ugas was probably just too strong and agile for him so Pac's style failed. Ugas plants his feet and pivots effectively. Errol took that away because he could reach Ugas with jabs and circled his guard and Ugas doesn't move. Crawford doesn't fight anything like Pac or Ugas , but has better movement than Porter, is a lot more instinctive and punches hard, often very suddenly. Thats why i like him against Spence too.

    I like both fighters. With that said I completely agree with your analysis. Spence lack if head movement and foot speed will give Crawford openings to control distance. Crawford’s ability to create angle parry and counter while moving will prevent Spence from cutting off the ring and force Spence into high guard and create opportunities for Crawford. Both are tremendous fighters but Crawford’s style athleticism and slick subtle mobility will be problematic for Spence.

      late response but I'm also worried that Crawford has a trash chin. Gamboa is a puncher but had no business fighting at 35 and still mage bud do the stanky leg. mean green machine dropped him. if Spence starts off fast and can get in some body work, I think he can slow the feet of bud down enough and then land something Up top that sleeps him. I know bud strong asf on the inside but he has not łooked good when hit by punchers. Spence got thudding power, not snappy power but thudding power. he has a chance to stop bud or at least force bud to go too defensive and surround rounds. i don't feel comfortable betting on this fight.

  • @slimdugger99
    @slimdugger99 2 ปีที่แล้ว +29

    I keep coming back to your analysis of the two fighters and your take on the fight. I look for Crawford to beat Spence to the punch when Errol loads up to throw inside. The difference in hand and foot speed as well as the will to operate inside where Spence isn’t used to being challenged, will afford Crawford the opportunity to knock him out early in this fight. Toughness, coupled with speed and strength will be hard to overcome with Spence’s one dimensional attack, no matter how relentlessly it begins, Crawford will make it hard for him to open up without giving up the body. I can’t wait to visit again after the fight to talk about how things actually turned out. Keep up the great work.

    Uk I Got bud too as the years have went by I just seen him winning more comfortably when he first got to welterweight I think I would’ve been closer but at this point I feel bud smokes him I really gotta see how he against ugas but I already feel like ik what to expect bud has fought way more fighters who’s plan we’re to cut him off than Errol has fought dudes who’s plan was to really use elite footwork he struggled a lot from Porters footwork overall I think his feet to slow his defense isn’t really great I hurd Derrick James say he doesn’t teach head movement I’ve hurd that from other coaches but they had a fighters with great defense and they had a different reasoning and Errol really just keeps his hands at home I feel like his jab is what he has going for him but that’s evident and Crawford is the best in the game at adjustments but once bud takes that away what does he have he loses in almost every other category his size I think bud is fully grown in to welterweight even the big welterweights that are at 54 now couldn’t bully him so I think that’s off the table he’s stopped every welterweight so his power is definitely there bud by UD if he could catch Errol with something ko 11-12

    The simple answer is it'll be a battle of the jab and adjustments. Spence has a better overall jab. Crawford is better at adjusting.
    I see Crawford going forward as a southpaw and biding time and countering from orthodox (movement and angle's). Spence is susceptible to rights and being countered from orthodox jab (Brook).
    Spence is a superior stronger southpaw. But typically has a sort of slow and steady, consistent work-rate.
    They solve each other skill wise. The match up is very much ggg vs canelo.

    Expertly broken down, another brilliantly done analysis, mate. I was so looking forward to this fight, and I think Im the only person here in the UK that believes that Bud will have the measure of young Spence. Errol is seen by many to be the nonpareil at the moment, but he has a few major flaws, both of which you rightly alluded to here. Early in his career, I noticed he had a tendency to "pause" at the extent of his jab, ever so briefly, and he still does it today; also, he gets a bit stoic moving to his right, and while neither has really been picked up by the opponents hes faced in his career so far, Crawford will have seen both, for sure. We can see Crawford "downloading" his opponents moves and feints from the first bell, and he fights every fight according to the other bloke's level of skill and power; he didnt get lucky late against Benavidez, he'd been waiting, like a hawk on a tree branch, and when the moment came, he dropped the hammer. I hope Spence is ready, because he aint going up against a weatherbeaten fighter at the tail end of his game.
    Crawford is a nightmare, still.

    Great breakdown, but I still favor Spence in a UD. Crawford legs are not the same, and his slow start gets him behind against Spence. Spence gets stronger as the fight goes on. That jab as well will keep Crawford on the back foot. I think Crawford weakness is and will be in this fight, his stubbornness to get back, and force him to brawl with Spence instead of boxing and moving.

    Spence’s style and size makes him almost unbeatable in the welterweight division. His foot speed is also underrated. I don’t really hear a lot of people talking about his ability to cut off the ring while controlling distance. Both fighters have weaknesses the other could exploit. I’m leaning Spence but wouldn’t be surprised if Bud figured out how to neutralize him.

      His foot speed in regards to crawford isn't underrated, spence has standard foot speed people are d
      as athletes, so whats standard to spence is slow to someone else, his footwork is good though in regards to his style. But its relative to the opponent, and I wouldn't say its unbeatable, we haven't seen how he fights a lateral fighter or backfoot fighter who can maintain distance, . A Thurman or Ennis fight would give you a much better understanding of how good Spence is, just like to me Bud would've benefited fighting someone like a Lara.Thurman needed to fight both as he has skillsets and attributes which is problematic for both fighters.

    Great breakdown however I give Spence the nod. Crawford goes into what I call berserker mode & brawls a bit & throws technique out the window. I can see him doing that & it swings the tide of a close fight to Spence.

    • @terrancespencer77
      @terrancespencer77 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      I’ll have to disagree bro…Crawford knows when he can and can’t go into “berserker” mode, it’s highly calculated and the risk verses reward has already been established. He only engage when he feels your best punch and power in tie ups. It’s only against opponents he has complete confidence he know cannot put him to sleep. So if he gets into that style of fight with Spence he has completely assessed the situation. Example, he did not overstep those boundaries with someone like Postol . He did not engage until he knew it was safe with Benavidez…it’s not as reckless as you think.

      @@terrancespencer77 My exact sentiments. I often see people use that deceptive disadvantage from their standpoint as to say that's the main reason Spence will win. That's very deceptive because it's clear that Bud only engages that way when he's totally convinced that he's taking his opponents best shot and the guy can't hurt him. Obviously Spence packs a decent punch so Bud probably wouldn't voluntarily sit in the pocket all day giving Spence an opportunity to tee off on him because that's where Spence is best at. Because Bud is more skilled than Spence he has a plethora of options to use against Errol and that's where the serious problems mount for Errol. Stylistically this isn't a great match-up for Spence.

    Amazing break down, been anticipating this analysis since I first subscribed to your channel, I still think it's a toss up match, Spence is going to religiously film study Crawford's best attributes, and little tricks, and do his best to negate them completely. I always thought the narrative would be a draw, and then a set up for a rematch to finally settle the score, OR it could very well be one or the other winning unanimously the first go round. Can't wait for this show down🥊

    Love your analysis. I agree that Crawford has the advantage fighting on the outside and using his excellent footwork and angles to avoid pressure while countering. The question is will Crawford maintain this strategy for 12 Rds or give in to proving he can bang on the inside? Can’t wait for this fight to manifest!

    • @BoxingGems
      @BoxingGems  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks fam. Of course at some points in the fight it’s inevitable they wind up in close proximity to one another. Hopefully we see how it plays out. It isn’t a forgone conclusion that Crawford wins all outside exchanges and Spence wins all inside exchanges. Film studies just provide educated guesses based on what each fighter has done in the ring already. I just hope the fight happens for boxing!
