As someone who used to side hustle detailing jobs and paint corrections back in the day.... this is outstanding!!! I know how much work went into that and 38:14 worth of time hardly shows any of it! 3rd video now of yours and I'm liking and sub'd. About to start a pressure washing company. Waiting for my trailer to be ready. Was thinking of trying fleet washing as well. Looking forward to watching a bunch more videos now! Well done y'all.... impressive work.
Hate when people call it detail and they just clean the car. Like calling it a detail and not do the door jams? Detailing a car should make it perfect. Looking brand new.
awesome work I wish I had that boom and washer setup, never mind those nice trucks 👌 you should do a video on a giant dirty RV. also provide info on your washer setup. thanks for the cool videos
If you buff without clay barring first, the pad will pick up those contaminants and drag them across the paint which is probably where the scratching came from.
Chem-X side note - I think your pressure washer setups are the coolest thing ever. I know you’ve done some content in the past but I’d love to see more about the pressure washer builds, the chemical injection systems, the hose cables, and the wand setups. Keep it up man!
Thank you I appreciate that! I’ve been getting some requests to tour the place and I’ve got some new reels to mount in the bay I might go into the power washers at the same time
37:15 i always wash underneath with a good degreaser then power wash off the inside of the tires and the brake calipers and axles and always the shocks
How well Does Stars and Stripes work if you only have an electric pressure washer? I only have an Active VE52 that I use on my Chevy Dualy and RV. It's a 1800 PSI peak and consistently puts out 1000 PSI working pressure. I haven't used it on My 07 Pete. Because It's easier to take that beast to Blue Beacon and let them scrub it down. Very much interested in getting Stars and Stripes, But I don't want to have to get a gas pressure washer I would only be using on my Pete.
Do you know if Stars and Stripes may have affected the Matte wheels? They seem to be pretty strong chemicals so I was wondering if some of the haziness may have been left over product.
I don’t know for sure it’s hard to say since they went pretty much all winter without a wash, I should have hit em again after I got em mint to see if they stayed good
Ohhhh dang I just realized your in Massachusetts I live here hahaha I got a f250 and I'd definitely need a detailed job done I'd love to bring it by sometime
So I have a large 40’ trench drain that I didn’t pitch, so the mud stays there and can be shoveled out, there is a u trap on the way to an oil water separator and then that hits a pumping chamber after that. The separator has to be pumped every so often but I actually don’t use the bay too much it’s just for these videos
@Chem-X Get a tornador (if you haven't) you'll love it especially on the door jams and tight areas not to mention it'll be a good compliment on your interior cleaner.
One of my biggest regrets in life is buying a black pickup while living in the dust bowl of West Texas...such a pain in the butt to keep it clean. But Chem X touchless came in clutch...got my truck all dolled up saturday, then boom rain/dust storm lol smh
Looks great!!! I've got a question for you and what you recommend. I've asked detailers around me and they are beyond stump. I work at an asphalt plant and when they are crushing the rap ( recycled asphalt) i get little black dots all over my truck and cant get them off unless i spend a whole weekend with hot ass soapy water and clay. Sometimes that doesnt even work. What do you recommend??? Any ideas to protect my paint from it?
Maybe either a really thick coating of wax or a ceramic coating. I personally think you're best off doing what you can to get it to not stick, but there might be chemicals capable of lifting the spots off.
That’s a good amount of psi but be sure to stay within maybe 6”-12” distance and use the green pattern nozzle, if that doesn’t help than the soap isn’t mixed strong enough, or the air knob on the foam cannon may need to be turned tighter
I made it myself it’s stainless 1/4” wire rope with zip line pulleys, I weld a bracket to attach the hose to em and use constant tension clamps to lock them in
Random question mate, I've got a black car, and when washed it has deep water spots almost permanent lol does this style of washing remove them or is that a polish or buff type of job
@@callanmurphy9807 no problem. If you have a clay bar, that might help remove some of them. Then go with a light/fine polish. If that doesn’t work you may need a polishing compound but don’t use a rubbing type compound. That’ll remove a lot of material quickly and then you’ll need to polish it to get the swirls and dullness out. Least aggressive first and work your way down.
@@ohboy2592 cheers mate appreciate the advice, it's only a cheap run about car but I'd still like it to look clean lol might just take it to a professional for the first one, just my luck I'd bugger something up
I use a magic eraser or a detail brush to clean leather seats also with the plastic’s, then I hit it with a air hose just in case there’s any chemical left doesn’t drip and stain the trim/ leather.
It to me would not be a waste as i would have a spray bottle of optimum no rinse and do a quick spray and wipe.....but your way is WAY better. I struggled with buffer trails at the start and was doing a 3 or 4 step but have switched to a Rupes long throw da and its shocking what come out with a yellow Rupes wool pad and The Last Cut compound. Black may need a finishing polish or a pad
yes some black paints are very soft and finicky to get them to finish down without haze its best to use a polish and soft polishing pad ex: orange yellow or black
I live in Florida and we have this insects called love bugs that dig in deep in your car paint an are really hard to remove! I wonder if this product will remove them!
You should get one of your fabricator customers to make a cat walk (stainless of course) to use next to jobs & do the roof safely. Once again- that’s one hell of a wash bay !!

Keep up the good work!

I like how he says “I’m not a detailer” but continues to do some of the best detailing work I’ve ever seen. Your sir have talent.

Yes..... the word detail has definitely lost it's true meaning. Anyone with a bucket and a rag is a "detailer" nowadays.
This is a weird random comment.
@@ohboy2592 it’s very much related to this video.
@@Datsem did you watch the video? They cleaned the jams as well as the interior? How can you not call this a detail?

So 1000psi is a bit light I’d say it might not be able to run a foam cannon, and not hitting very hard will compromise the results most likely

How much pressure?(pressure washer)
Buffing is no joke , been years since I touched a wheel . I need to get one for the house
What product did you use for the polishing?
That's amazing dude, jams and all!
Where did you get your gas handle for your water bucket???
My man, awesome videos! Where did you get that clear bucket that you used to clean the wheels?
Ohhhh dang I just realized your in Massachusetts I live here hahaha I got a f250 and I'd definitely need a detailed job done I'd love to bring it by sometime
Where does all the mud end up in your drain, there’s a sump? And then you have to clean that out every so often?

What wax did you apply at the end ? Really good job guys they look better than new!🔥
That was collonite Insulator wax. A lot of the gloss you are seeing is from the polishing process rather then the wax itself
