BO1 was the first COD to feature dialogue for the protagonist you played as. I also remember playing the BO2 campaign multiple times just to get the multiple endings. What a blast it was, Menendez may be one of the top 3 Antagonists in the franchise.

The zombies was a good return to form and people forgot this but it was the first time zombies was rivaling mp player counts and brought a new audience to try and enjoy to mode. I do agree the zombies was too easy as you can literally get to round 100 by sitting in the room and shooting a grenade launcher on the floor and most EEs were brain dead easy. The multiplayer I can’t speak too much on because I’m not big into cod mp but from I played of it, it was a big improvement over MW19 in terms of gameplay, movement, and map design which I argue are more important than graphics.
Cold War's multiplayer was kinda ass, I'm sorry. MW19 was way more fun for me and Cold War was just a huge downgrade in every aspect, not just graphics. But I did enjoy it's campaign and zombies

In CoD lore, Treyarch has always had a direct line from the golden era CoDs (BO1, BO2) to present day. Infinity Ward is no longer the same with the Vince Zampella and Jason West departures and Sledgehammer is basically the shitty CoD factory. IW CoDs have become like Mario or Zelda, where they try to retell the stories of these "legendary" characters like Price, Soap, Shephard and Gaz while actually making their campaigns more bland. They have aspirations to being a tactical shooter (see MW II '22) which I don't much care about in a CoD game. Treyarch still trots out Woods and Mason, but it has shown willingness to takes risks and do new things. Also, old Mason in a wheelchair is a great example of evolving a character. Also a contrarian view - Cold War at the end of it's live service was excellent. Punchy colors, 80s vibe, simple, fun gameplay.
seeing treyarch finally being allowed after almost 8 years to work on there game with little to 0 interruptions fills me with joy, black ops 6 has been in development since 2020, and it shows with the videos and stuff, for example, respawn............sorry "infinity ward" had 3 years of development on mw 2019 and mw2 2022 and both those games looked like crap from day 1.
@@BrickfilmPictures The only „interruptions“ Id count were the Zombie portions from MWZ & Vanguard, but as it seems it didn‘t slow them down that much. Game still looks overly ambitious.

I think with treyarch you can trust them to make 90% the right choices gameplay wise like BO4 was controversial but it had great things going for the MP purely on the design front, pretty good maps and good TTK, so with BO6 I trust them to make a fundamentally solid game like it'll have great bones to it but I just have no confidence in activision/ xbox. mark my words it will be a great game for the fundamentals but like every other game since MW19 all the focus and attention on content, monetization, art direction will always sway to the free to play warzone crowd not the diehard black ops fans.
@@thereisaplaceineastmelbourne On point. Treyarch obviously has serious intentions to deliver a quality title which satisfies most but stuff like SBMM, annoying bundles and the sort will definitely bring it down further. Which is why I‘m looking foward to Campaign and zombies the most anyway.
Bo4, even with the horrible perk and elixer system and zombie spawning/tracking/pathing system, has environment. These maps FEEL like zombie maps unlike cold war. The easy easter eggs and lack of environment ruins cold war for me even tho it isnt necessarily a bad zombies rendition.
Cold War hater here. I am really annoyed by the rehabilitation the game is getting lately. It was a cash grab used to grind meta guns for Warzone. It ruined Warzone with the chaotic MW19 merge, the graphics and animations were a severe downgrade from MW19, there were barely any multiplayer maps for the longest time, killstreaks were ruined, the campaign was short and made no sense. Zombies was a major insult to the mode by turning it into Warzone Co-op with an unnecessary reboot of the drawn-out story that which should have ended in BO3. Everything about the game screams "low effort" , it was developed at the height of a pandemic after all. Instead of giving MW19 a second year of support which it deserved, they dropped it for this steaming pile of garbage. It should've been forgotten as a dark time in the franchise's history, but for some reason every treyarc fanboy has been praising it lately, ignoring all the better games that came before it. Just because vanguard, MW2 and MW3 are trash does not mean cold war is any good.
My friend who likes the new modern warfares kept asking me to play Cold War everyday after I finally got him to play the zombies, after I first got Cold War I played it for months (I had just got back into cod and didn’t care about the new ones since I didn’t know that they were bad or whatever, I also grew up with black ops 1 and 2)
Cod, Cod2, Cod4, MW2, and MW2019 are the only cods i remember but i think they were made by the actual talent that created it all. the rest did feel bootleg and rushed af.
Treyach is they only thing keeping cod afloat, if BO6 isn't good, which I doubt it won't be the bar is already so low, then cod as a franchise is doomed.
BO3 MP never felt right to me gameplay wise. Which is odd since Infinite Warfare MP, which was almost a carbon copy, clicked with me a little more. Hit detection seemed more refined.
only really cared for infinity ward but since it went downhill after mw2 reboot i got tired of cod as a whole i liked bo1 and bo3 i only liked the zombies from bo2 i have no faith in black ops 69 or whatever its called as well as if bo2 remastered is true or not but in general this series hasnt been good since bo3.
I really wish I enjoyed a 3arc mp since BO2. I still much prefer IW. I enjoyed MW19 mp more than any cod mp since BO2. BO4 is my least fav cod mp ever (ass ttk, meh gameplay, insane specialist spam). CW was a also a huge downgrade from MW19. Tbh the only 3arc mp I like are BO1 and BO2. Never was a fan of WaW mp. That all said Zombies is easily the best 3rd mode cod has had and it is by far best when 3arc has done it. Well IW zombies is quite fun but not as good as say BO1 and BO3 zombies.
Thats fair. Theyre approaches to MP are so different that they each cultivated their own fanbases because of it. As much as I disagree with IWs gameplay flow, shooting guns in their games feels CRISP
Basically. Nostalgia. They made three great games and haven't been able to top them since. World at War was the best WW2 CoD, Black Ops 1 was the best pre-modern CoD and Black Ops 2 was the best future warfare CoD. Black Ops 3 was shit in every way. Black Ops 4 was shit in every way. Cold War had a great campaign, but everything else was just Modern Warfare Reskinned. Black Ops 6 HAS A CHANCE to be good.
BO3 did everything perfect except campaign, BO4 was alright in every capacity, and cold war has a good campaign and zombies and a meh MP. what are you talking about?
Every Treyarch game is so unique but IW just feels like iterations of the same game, slightly improved. MW3(2011) was a slightly changed 2 which was an improved MW1. Ghosts was another generic modern shooter with a wasted extinction mode, IW was a BO3 copy with worse MP and zombies and the new modern warfares are the worst Call of Dutys so far in my opinion and are all almost identical. Take away the HUD and they all literally look exactly the same with most of the same maps and guns. IW is boring AF. That's why everyone loves 3Arc
Black ops 1 was my favorite when it came to nearly everything. Black ops 2 I like almost the same almost as bo1. Black ops 3 campaign was bad but train go boom was a good thing and mutiplayer I just didn’t really like the guns and later on they released really broken guns and never nerf them and with zombies the maps were alright but game felt pretty easy. Black ops 4 blackout was not my favorite. Mutiplayer was kinda meh in my opinion. Zombies I did like half the maps and the highest round I made it on that game was 69 on blood of the dead and my game crashed😔 Cold War I did like the Gun list but game felt really unfinished but that’s not surprising because that game barely had any time to be made. Campaign was like a 6/10 mutiplayer was alright. Zombies was very easy but still somewhat enjoyable. And the game did have some good bundles like Ghostface just hated how overpriced everything was. I hope Black ops 6 is good but same time I don’t have much faith in cod games anymore. They need to stop making a new cod every year or at least stop making every bundle 20$ like they released like 500$ just on skins per game for you to use for like 5 months and time for the next game 🥲 and they keep removing or replacing good things
BO1 was the first COD to feature dialogue for the protagonist you played as. This really helped engaged players through Mason's experiences when playing, instead of having a mute character running and gunning like the CODs before did.

Even if BO4 zombies wasnt that great Treyarch still cooked well with zombies in their games
@@F1RST_BLUD1 Even the worst entry is still playable
Bo4, even with the horrible perk and elixer system and zombie spawning/tracking/pathing system, has environment. These maps FEEL like zombie maps unlike cold war. The easy easter eggs and lack of environment ruins cold war for me even tho it isnt necessarily a bad zombies rendition.
I still enjoyed it doing easter eggs and challenges
"Why most people love Treyarch"
Who’s everyone?
Me ❤️
Cold War hater here.
MW2019 was only good for Campaign, the rest of the game was pure ASS. I remember a lot of people being happy when that trash game was finally over 😂
@@null-hi6dt tbh campaign was meh also and a sence huge blame truth vibes which is just screams reddit moment
Cold War is good. Cope
My friend who likes the new modern warfares kept asking me to play Cold War everyday after I finally got him to play the zombies, after I first got Cold War I played it for months (I had just got back into cod and didn’t care about the new ones since I didn’t know that they were bad or whatever, I also grew up with black ops 1 and 2)
1 more cod video gets on my rec im ending it all
@@akusen9 you might have to stop watching CoD 🤷🏽♂️
Black ops 1 is one of the best game made of call of duty
Cod, Cod2, Cod4, MW2, and MW2019 are the only cods i remember but i think they were made by the actual talent that created it all. the rest did feel bootleg and rushed af.
Treyach is they only thing keeping cod afloat, if BO6 isn't good, which I doubt it won't be the bar is already so low, then cod as a franchise is doomed.
Aftermath was arguably one of the worst black ops maps ever, and it’s still more enjoyable than some of the “best” modern warfare maps
The guns and explosives sounds awful so I can’t play their games

The reason: Zobies
From a hidden secret to the biggest Treyarch selling point, insane journey
BO3 hands down is the worst Treyarch game, I mean it isn’t bad, but just so mediocre.
As you said the game mode that saved the game was zombies
BO3 MP never felt right to me gameplay wise. Which is odd since Infinite Warfare MP, which was almost a carbon copy, clicked with me a little more. Hit detection seemed more refined.
@@ptrcrispyprobably Infinity Ward touch as they are almost always the most refined games in terms of technicalities
Pretty much
Black Ops 4 is ass
Are we playing the same game? It's the only advanced movement cod I find playable. Lootboxes were the only real downside
only really cared for infinity ward but since it went downhill after mw2 reboot i got tired of cod as a whole i liked bo1 and bo3 i only liked the zombies from bo2 i have no faith in black ops 69 or whatever its called as well as if bo2 remastered is true or not but in general this series hasnt been good since bo3.
BO6 will def be best cod since 2020
Haters and Fanboys will go silent.
I‘d be shocked if they somehow fuck it up after 4 years
Nah, I doubt considering zombies and campaigns will do excellent like cold war
Multiplayer will be better obviously
Tbh, BO3 and BO4 are pretty overrated.
I also see a bunch of people call them overrated and BO3 seems to be fairly liked now.
The public perception gets shaky after BO2 anyway
BO4 zombies is so underrated IMO
@@trgjosh8537 Perk system be damned Classifed is actual crack
Basically.
BO3 had the best zombies tho
Maybe ur nostalgic 😂 saying cold war is an mw reskin and bo3/bo4 having nothing good is absolutely crazy
How dare you disrespect Cod 3
That was my first Cod 😢
Black ops 1 was my favorite when it came to nearly everything.
Black ops 2 I like almost the same almost as bo1.
Black ops 3 campaign was bad but train go boom was a good thing and mutiplayer I just didn’t really like the guns and later on they released really broken guns and never nerf them and with zombies the maps were alright but game felt pretty easy.
Black ops 4 blackout was not my favorite. Mutiplayer was kinda meh in my opinion. Zombies I did like half the maps and the highest round I made it on that game was 69 on blood of the dead and my game crashed😔
Cold War I did like the Gun list but game felt really unfinished but that’s not surprising because that game barely had any time to be made.
I love so much I preordered bo6
The next black ops game sounds horrible all online garbage pass on that shit
Fair
Let Treyarch Cook
2 years of Treyarch will be insane
I don’t they fell off
Nah
lol.. you love treyarch ? not all of us
Most
Smart people do
why wouldn't you love treyarch?
@@gavinrolls1054 cuz the last 3 CoDs they made are awful
IW & SHG not doing too great either tbh
Treyarch is only loved by 18 year old kids that’s first game was bo2 and never played a mw game
I’m a 12 year old who’s played all 3 og mw games and still prefer treyarch
Bro just turned 19
Did you have fun on vanguard/mw2?
Only good infinity ward games were MW1/2
Who here played the first Infinity Ward cod game?
Treyarch sucks
