    The savory quark sounds like it would go really well with a veggie tray and pita chips. Will try the compress if ever needed. Thank you for sharing this, Mrs Anderson.

      Growing up in Germany we'd often either have it as part of a dessert with fruits or together with chives and boiled potatoes. My grandmother also made an awesome quiche with quark.

    Quark is so versatile, I mix it with instant pudding mix instead of milk for a delicious and easy dessert. And it also makes a great Müßli when added to fruit and granola.

    I always wondered what quark was. I will have to try making it sometime. I have made "yogurt cheese" which is a similar concept. I like to spread it on a pancake and top it with maple syrup or a fruit jam. Quark would probably be good like that as well.

    I love how creative you are with your cooking 😉 how about adding some sugar and strawberries 🍓 to it and jelly or jello as you say over there 😋

      Yes, sugar and strawberries taste super good in it, especially with some muesli mixed in for breakfast, or a drizzle of honey. The possibilities are endless!

    Now my buttermilk was in the fridge and ice cold could that be why?

    • @AreTheyAllYours
      @AreTheyAllYours  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it would need to be at room temperature, so the time to ferment starts whenever the buttermilk has reached room temperature.
