I always looked at baggers as a strictly long distance touring motorcycle. That is until 2022 when the Road and Street Glide ST’s came out. I’m 6’ 7” and I wanted something fast and sporty. I now have that in my 22 Road Glide ST 131. Love these bikes and they are only getting better. Again congrats on a beautiful bike.
I have/had a 2017 flhxs for 7 years and never used it for anything but local riding and loved it for that purpose. These new bikes are so much lighter and more nimble :)
King of the baggers was premium! Rode out from OC to watch and be apart of an AMERICAN TRADITION. Best experience EVER! surprised you weren't there! Frigging awesome!!! Even got to hot lap the track! Realized after doing a lap, the BALLS these guys got to pull 100+ mph around Laguna Seca was amazing! Whole new respect for those young guys doing the Shit they do.
I watch the performance bagger races I was a road racer myself, heavy weight twins and motards . I think like Matt said it’s sort of a exhibition race but let’s get real, like the Goldwing it’s the station wagon of motorcycles and there is no way they can stick with race bikes but still fun to watch. I wore the floorboards off of my 15 street glide tracking it, it was hilarious and I think that’s where the novelty comes in it’s humorous to watch. I have been thinking about buying a new road glide myself.
Congrats, Matt on your first CVO!! Also want to thank you for the AWESOME channel; definitely my fav HD related channel. We’re in Huntsville, AL, but will def be stopping by Laidlaws when out in CA. Enjoy it in good health and ride safe. 🤘
Appreciate the Saturday morning upload. Motorcycles and coffee. Cheers. Thank you for taking the time to spend some time with the bike to provide a more concrete review. Still looking forward to future mods.
Matt I love your videos and as a new rider at the age of 40 - and from Milwaukee - I went into a dealership here in Houston, and I have to be honest the MRSP needs to be $5k less as every dealer has a absorbent amount of fees and the parts - please they need to fix their pricing if they any anyone under 35 being customers in the next 10 years. Harley lower your prices and police your non “Laidlaw” - straight dealing dealers and lower your prices on your bikes and accessories. You will increase revenue and loyalty, while building your brand for the future - and don’t tell me about the other bikes at lower prices points, the demand is for Road Glides - Touring bikes. Anyways, great content as always and congratulations on your new beautiful bike, Matt! May the wind always be at your back!
I've owned five HD's and currently own a Road Glide, I'll have to disagree with you on the adjustable windshield. I had a BMW RT 1250 that had an adjustable windshield and I really appreciated it. Great review though, thanks for the video Matt. I always look forward to how in depth your coverage is of the bikes.
Great documentary style start to the review! Appreciate the contrast to non-ST versions. Bike looks and sounds great. I hope you do a review update after a 1,000 mile touring trip.
Love the content Matt! You're one of my favorite entertainers on the net. I am tall and thin like you and the HD baggers are my bike of choice. I went from a 21 SGS to a 22 SG ST to a 21 SG CVO which I rode for almost 2 years. I recently traded the CVO for a 24 SG and couldn't be happier. The weight, power, comfort and tech on the 24's is in a different league compared to my 21 CVO. Keep up the great work!
Good to hear man. Yea, I like the new SG fairing. I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the 3rd generation SG! It was a big change this year for the motor company.
Super cool video! Enjoy, brother that ST is awesome! Your videos always give me insight. I recently saw your videos on the Pan America and that sparked a hidden interest. I just bought my 24 RG and now a 24 CVO Pan Am. Harleys rock! Keep up the good work!
Congratulations Matt on 200K subscribers! Love your content, especially the rides in Cali and other states! You and your guys are really doing it right!
I've had a few Street Glides, and my new CVO st is my first Road Glide. It's great, but it would be nice to see a Street Glide st for the bat wing fans.
Great video Matt and absolutely amazing bike. Nice to see a review from someone who owns it. As always, great editing and I've been waiting for your review.
I walked into a dealer today and seen this black Road Glide ST for the first time. The video and pictures can't catch how impressive looking this bike is! I want one BAD and I'm a chrome Street Glide guy,,, Very nice looking bike.
I think you and the viewers made a good choice with the raven black, as long as you are honestly happy with it! Looks like a really really fun bike and I remember when you guys talked previously about how they should make a real performance bagger.
As always great video, awesome bike, good talks. Congrats, Matt! Man, these videos will get me in trouble, been pretty successful staying away from test ridding one of those beasts, but it’s more and more tempting.
@@MattLaidlaw I know I will. Having to adult with money sucks lol. I still do like my 20’ RGS. Spent few coins on upgrades and hopefully I manage to keep liking it for a bit longer. Looking forward to watching your build progress, further reviews and your impression of the bike. I can tell Harley has come a long way and really stepped up their game big time.
First performance bagger? How about the 2012-current BMW K1600GT and GTL? Or if you really want to double down on the American cruiser-type seating position, the K1600B or Grand America? 160HP, premium suspension, and... bags... :D I'm glad H-D is moving back toward performance and handling. I hope they keep adding lean angle back in.
BMW K1600B is a beautiful bagger. Just met a guy from Ontario 🇨🇦on the ferry to Vancouver Island last month. I own a 2022 RGST & a 2017 BMW GSA with 65K miles now. HD’s are too much $ for an 🇺🇸 motorbike. The BMW K16B will leave that CVO in the dust for $27K
No satisfaction of ownership in the non USA “motorbikes”. My Harleys make my Mind, my Eyes, my Body and my Soul pleased; and they do that in the driveway, in the garage and grinding out the miles in the wind, dust, air, rain and even snow. It’s American Motor Cycle for me everytime. But, you do you.
@@MrDoyle07it’s not what you ride but that you ride, so many non USA parts on Harley’s nowadays, I’m pretty sure a few Hondas have more USA parts then Harley 😂, bmw 1600gt owner here! God it’s a great bike, Sturgis bound in 2 weeks!
@@busabeater2ehh, it’s both. When I rode the yahosukaws the wind was good, the ride was OK and the speeding tickets were identical. When I got home though, the bike was a toy. I can take my Harley’s more seriously. And yeah, BMW is a great machine, but they make my eyes wish they could spit. Just don’t like the visuals. The Triumph inline 3 twists me up a little bit… I can’t figure out if I love it or hate it and the Indian offerings are all a bit OK too. Tastes play a role in what our eyes like.
Great video, Matt. This bike is STRIKING to look at and FINALLY, LED lights. It's about time HD caught up with bright lights. For $40K I'm shocked that there are no rider/passenger heated seats and no heated grips included to extend the riding season. WTH? For city riding, I want to see OVER the windshield and have it as low as possible, but on the highway I want to have the ability to raise it if the winds change. HD R&D engineers should be able to build that.
@Matt_Laidlaw I have the same ‘24 CVO R.G. ST as you. I’ve only owned it for a month and thanks to your YT channel I’ve installed a Rear Shock Reservoir Relocation kit, replaced the factory seat with a H-D Sundowner full seat & installed a passenger back rest with luggage rack so that my wife or daughter can ride without fear of falling off the back of the bike. My King Tour Pack w/LED Running/Turn/Brake Lights arrived yesterday and a color matched Chopped Tour Pack & Saddle Bag Tip-Over Protection Bars are on order. This bike is such a joy to ride. Way better than the ‘23 R.G. Limited I traded in and even better than my 2005 CVO Electra Glide that I sold and put every penny to purchase my wife a custom designed engagement ring to scare off any potential competition that might try to turn her eye toward them. I hit the jackpot with her because she was upset that I sold my prized CVO for her a ring. She said I should have kept the motorcycle and bought a far less expensive ring because she loves riding the motorcycle with me.
My views on the CVO-ST is that it's like a grand touring car. Aston Martin or a Bentley if you will, it's a classy performance machine build to take you around the world, and to me that is pretty damn awesome! Congrats to your new bike Matt!
Fellow Riders, a demo ride, and you will agree. Handling is very nimble and responsive. I traded in my pristine 2018 CVO Limited annaversary. Bought the Raven black model. Of course, Bad Boy extended two up seat with a back rest plus a TAB performance black chrome exhaust. Delivery time on both 8 to 12 weeks. Disappointing, it's like we have become a third world country. Be Safe on whatever you ride!
@@JimCunningham-m1bNice Bike. Congratulations. Yeah America has went towards becoming a third world country IN THE LAST 4 YEARS. It is a fact. Better hope Mattress back Harris doesn't get elected. Obama wants a fourth term. So
Thanks for the Vid… beautiful bike. I would have expected better mirrors for a CVO but over all Harley knocked it out of the park. Congrats on your new bike.
Nice ride Matt. You’re going the exact direction I went with my 23’ RG ST.(Great minds think alike) I didn’t want a performance bagger for my application nor a sport tourer. I was looking to build a “Performance Tourer” And the RG ST was a great base to start from. Looking forward to the upcoming build videos.
I am with ya Matt, Just picked mine up, Raven Black. Ordered the full size foot pads, and standard engine guard and highway pegs. I do a lot of touring, don’t want to make it into a standard CVO, but a few creature comforts. I probably will add the heated grips. I listen to the sound system in town. The helmet sound on the highway. I have 30” inseam and the seat height is nice for me. Thanks for the review, I learned a lot about the bike. I am 68 and love the power. A good solution for me since the RGL became too heavy for me.
Up until now I’ve truly enjoyed your content. I find it interesting, informative and entertaining. I follow MDB, Thrashin, Two Lane Guys, Travelling tall, Be the Boss of your Motorcycle. I am a European rider: 2 x BMW K16GT(2013/2017) 2 x BMW R1200RT(2005/2008…still have the 2008 now at 114000km bulletproof reliability) 2 x BMW 1250 GSA( 2020/2023…my current tour bike) 1 x zx10R ( 2010) 1 x Yamaha XJR1300( 2015….my around town fair weather go for a beer bike) 1 x Kawasaki ZX10 Tomcat ( 1988 and bullet proof to 106000km) 1 x Kawasaki 500 GPZ (1992 …first bike….started riding since 1992) My next bike, the 4th in my garage will be a HD and probably Street Glide CVO. I have been picking up comments where you jab at Indian ( them being bankrupt, their adjustable shield up front). I don’t think you need to bad mouth Indian to sell HD, not for a dealership 60 years in business anyway. On a technical level, even my 2005/2008 BMW RT’s had electronic adjustable windshield. It is perfect for max protection in wind and rain. In summer, you leave it lowered and maximize airflow. German intelligence and engineering. Indian did the same and when you paying 30k€ and more in 2024, you expect to have what BMW has done since 2000 already. BMW has the Shift Cam 1250/1300 motors, variable valve timing on an Adventure and Road Touring platforms from 2018. The K1600 inline 6 is built variable valve timing from 2011 its year of introduction. This is progress. You pay the money but you get your money’s worth. Indians Persuit is a formidable bike with performance that doesn’t need stage1/2/3/4. Just fill the fuel and blast off. However it’s not for me because I want the "potato potato potato" HD. In particular I love the 2020 SG 117 CVO. I find the new SG/RG to be a bit unsightly with the gigantic radiators spoiling the area behind the front wheel. You pay 50k€ for a SG/RG CVO and you still changing windshields ? It SHOULD come with an electric adjustment windshield. If you taking the brand into the future with digital touch screens, LED lights, etc, how do they NOT engineer in the adjustable screen? Describing Indian’s( or BMW’s) electric screen as rubbish to discredit them to hide HD’s failure to comply with functionality and practicality for people doing tons of miles, mega roadtrips every year is truly not the best way beat the competition. Focus on HD. Forget Indian. You’re better than that. Cheers Brittany/France
Thanks for the comment my friend. Clearly you have a ton of experience on motorcycles. My videos aren’t really an attempt to sell you anything despite that being my job. Most of the people that watch my channel will never step foot in the dealership. The videos are me educating people on the HD product and me giving my personal opinion about them. I “jab” at Indian the same way I jab at the Celtics (I’m a laker fan). I’m a competitive guy and have fun with it. Indian is a copy cat joke of a motorcycle company. That’s my opinion. I understand some people like an electronically adjustable windshield, I’m not one of them. I prefer to save the weight and mechanical complexity for a feature I will never use (I have an adjustable windshield on my pan America). To say HD needs it to “keep up” with other manufacturers at a certain price point is like saying every car needs to run on electricity. It’s a feature that just doesn’t work for a lot of people and for some people like myself it isn’t worth the trade off. Enjoy the Street Glide if you get one man. It’s a great bike.
@@MattLaidlaw thanks for your response. It’s perfectly ok to not like a specific feature present on other manufacturers but it’s also not necessary to disrespect their engineers, their customers that could potentially be HD customers tomorrow. You know the perfect bike is the one he who pays and owns it, not the bank. I don’t believe Indian copied anyone. I think in the US market, long distances, straight roads it’s inevitable they all resemble each other. It’s pretty much the same between the European manufacturers this side of the pond. It’s like every other dream car in the US is a big block v8. Custom/Cruisers/baggers/full touring is a general USA thing more than a HD thing🇺🇸 If you go back to 1980, The Honda Interstate full tourer launched the same time as the HD Tour glide. The Goldwing started out for the American market before it ended up elsewhere. Yes, Indian went AWOL during this period. 😅 Concerning weight, if you look at the weight of a fully loaded Bagger/full Tourer, I don’t believe anybody is going to notice. However you put 5kg more on a Ducati Multistrada and you might get the wrath of that lot! 😂 I quoted the 2020 SG cvo because one of their colour schemes comes with black faced dashboard gauges and orange dials. It looks very much Porsche like! Congrats on your new bike. It’s awesome✌️🙂
Great Full Review. So many things that I agree with your point of view. I'm looking to add more of the "touring" to the ST. I did bigger floorboards and frame mounted highway pegs so that I could keep the straight out engine guard. Anyways. Another great video!
Congrats Matt! IMHO I think the road glide CVOST is the holy Grail for the 24 model year! I purchased one in Golden white pearl and absolutely love it. My only complaint is no switchback mirrors and no CVO cover! Really motor company….. oh well… 😊
I just can't find our written agreement, that Stefan needs to testride every motorcycle in Matt's collection-it has to be somewhere... Enjoy this beauty my friend! As always, great feature with your honest thoughts
On my 2021 CVO Road Glide I went with 131 stage 3 with Don Performance race cam and tuning. Your CVO ST is pulling pretty much the torc and HP. On a lighter bike I can understand your enthusiasm 😉. I can’t see anything to be gained with further engine mods and I hope you enjoy taking her out for a thrashing ride more often. Btw welcome to the CVO CLUB, I know you’ll hate me saying that! 😂😂
I couldn't be happier with mine. Out of the box, it is the best Harley I have ever rode. It was totally fine stock, but I did change the bars and exhaust, and now its even better. That's really the only 2 things that I needed to change. The stock exhaust does look great, but it just wasn't loud enough for me. Eventually I will need a taller windshield, but that's it.
Matt, I purchased my 2020 Road Glide Special from you in 2020, I am coming at the beginning of next year to by this bike, I am in love with it! and can't wait.
How does this thing handle engine heat? The CVO ultra I rode a few years ago was unridable in the summer due to just massive amounts of engine heat. Has this improved?
Great vid, Matt. Badass bike for sure but I've come love the simplicity of rolling on RKS sans fairing and windshield. That said, I totally get it if doing serious touring. Enjoy!!
You have done a great review of that bike along with the comparisons and differences to other models of that year and references to previous years as well. Nicely done. You genuinely seem to be very happy with your bike and I can see why. I traded in my last bike that was a 2020 low rider st for a then new 2022 street glide st cuz I wanted to be able to take some stuff with me have navigation and such and be more comfortable on longer rides but still have fun with a spirited performing bike. I got that with my 2022 flhxst although I plan to make a few minor changes with an exhaust and Harley tuner soon. I do wish though that I had kept my 1988 fxrs sp in candy brandywine….if I see one of those I may just have to buy it, it was a nice bike … keep posting please 👍🏼
Fantastic and informative video as usual. Very interested to see the modifications you are making for touring. I have just traded in my 2022 Pan America Special for a 2024 CVO Road Glide so will be fitting a tour pack and Sundowner touring seat. Keep the videos coming please 👍🏻
@@MattLaidlaw are you able to give me a rough idea on timeline for this?, I pick up my new bike at the end of August, I lost a small fortune on the Pan America Special hence this Road Glide will be the last bike I will probably ever buy, I also have a 2018 115 anniversary breakout that I love. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
I have a 2020 Fat boy 30th anniversary. I did zero engine mods, I did the fairly new Öhlins SE suspension upgrade and omg! that fatboy is now a canyon carver. no joke. the biggest difference is the change in the geometry of the suspension. 13"shock in the rear raises slightly but also gives you more bump absorbing travel, on top of that they lowered the forks in the triple trees slightly. all this leads to increased cornering angles and road holding is amazingly good. now it's a king of the baby baggers! it's road handling characteristics are vastly improved over stock suspension
I will be buying probably just the blue burst 24 road glide, but I love this bike. Checked out the white one the other day and my only complaint is the paint. My 2017 hard candy flhxs hot red flake glowed in sunlight and these bikes don't seem to have any bigger flake?
There’s nothing even close to that hard candy flake. That was a 10 layering process to make that paint. It was expensive and not really popular. You can get some nice pearl stuff still but nothing like that big flake stuff.
The intro was very nice, once again Matt makes amazing video About the bike, i am looking forward for driving it here in Germany on the Autobahn (with no speed limit 💪🏼) just open throtle At last, Congrats Matt for the new Bike
Seems like this was a sales video for the CVO’s, which is fine, I get you bought one and they’re fantastic bikes. It’s just hard as a middle class guy to be sold on value at $43K. Again, I get why you said that, but I feel you’re talking to a specific niche set of buyers, rather than your average blue collar rider. I mean, who wouldn’t want the CVO if you could afford that? You’re right! It has it all! Unfortunately, it’s gonna have to wait for me to hit the lottery. Lol…Regardless, another great video and props to the racers who’ve done so well for the brand and bringing a lot of attention to King Of The Baggers racing. 🙌
True critique. Most people will never spend 40k+ on a motorcycle. I get that. I think the point I was trying to make is for the guys who buy a 30k bagger than drop another 20k Into it to make it a performance bagger.
@@MattLaidlawYeah, I totally understand that and knew that was your angle, and you’re right. If that’s your price point to begin with, it’s a no brainer. Hard to imagine where Harley goes from the Performance Bagger. They’ve come so far, it appears there’s little left to do to the CVO besides HP. It’s quite literally the perfect riding machine!
Nice Video Matt. I think the water cooled aspect is awesome. It’s not always popular with everyone but it allows for a lot of horsepower. I have love for Oil cooler Harley’s too but have my older bikes to scratch that itch. The HP coming out of Harley now is quite impressive. I had to spend big bucks to make that kind of HP and Performance in years past. I think Indian definitely lit a fire under Harley’s backside on that. Saying all of that I really love the New and the Old Harley’s equally. I appreciate the simplicity of an EVO, the pep of a TC and power of M8. Harley is delivering what people have asked for. They have done a very poor job marketing that IMHO but the Nightster (aka new age Dyna) VVT Baggers with nicer suspension and braking and accessories are quite impressive.
Hey Matt, like this. Saw something from Torque Custom Cycles who Cyclefanatics deals with. They a plugin work around for the Apple CarPlay so that it’s runs by Bluetooth. Enjoy your videos and looking forward to the next traveling video.
Hey Matt, what's your thoughts on the audio? I know you said you're not an audio guy, but I'm sure you've tested it. How does it sound at speed on the highway? I've heard they sound good on the showroom floor...but out on the road, not so much. Just curious.
I think it's good on the road. I did listen to it on a 65 mile ride while on the freeway a lot. It's definitely better than my 2018 Street Glide stock stereo. The audio is clearer and louder so it cut through the wind better
Hey Matt, how much does the liquid cooling help with the engine temp? I do a lot of commuting on my road glide special 114 now. It gets hot pretty quick. Heat = things breaking. This bike seems like the right choice. Appreciate all your videos and content
The new water cooled passages in the heads definitely helps as I pointed out in my Road Glide and Street Glide videos. It's the same design on the CVO Road Glide ST. I can't quantify it exactly because I don't have an instrument that reads oil or engine temps but there is noticeably less heat radiating up off the engine onto my legs etc
@@MattLaidlaw im assuming you do a lot of commuting on your bike. I have very similar ride style to you. Would you recommend the cvo st for daily commutes? I also love ripping on my road glide now but i put about 10k miles a year.
Hey Matt firstly, congrats on the bike, can’t wait to see all the adventures you take with it. Regarding highway pegs, you can probably still keep the stock engine guard if you add the Ciro 3D Frame Mounted highway pegs. I have those on my 2020Road Glide and they really do not disappoint- I’m 6’5 so similar in height and they’re so comfortable. Good luck
Congratulations on your new bike! im not a bagger fan but if I was this is truly a bad ass looking bike with all of the cool stuff!!!! im sure if I rode one I would be a convert
lol everyone knows Matt a $12 Amazon dongle solves the Apple car play problem 😅. Great review. You’re always one I can count on to tell it how it is. My next bike will be purchased from Laidlaws. Cheers brother
Thanks man. Thats what I try to do in all my videos. Yes, a dongle will get the cat play thing handled but I run a headset anyways 🤷♂️. Thanks for the comment.
Hi Matt, Great review. I want that bike! Being the same height as you I can’t wait to see your review of your upgrades. In stock form the Road Glide is physically too small. Crack on with them upgrades so I can then decide to place an order an do the same as you. 🤞🏍️😊👍
Thanks for the video. I hope to get mine soon and also will be getting it redone for long haul travel. Would appreciate getting your set up with mods. Been thinking for a while about getting the highway pegs installed, luggage, heated grips, higher front glass and higher bars.
So I just put a deposit down on one, upgrading my 2022 road glide st. I'm 6'4 and I currently use the Harley Tall boy seat. Was just curious as to what seat you were thinking of changing to. Thanks
Matt will you be leaving the engine stock or will you be modifying it in any way? Did the engine come running pretty lean from the factory ie running pretty hot? Would you be tempted to install a two to one exhaust system?
I'm tempted to install a 2-1 exhaust but I'm in love with the stock exhaust so much that I might resist the temptation to change it for sound. That's the only reason I would do it. It probably runs slightly lean but with the new water cooled heads I don't feel like it runs hot (relatively speaking) The previous year 117s run hotter and the old 110 CI Twin Cam for sure runs even hotter.
Matt, what kind of coolant temperatures have you been noticing on your CVO ST? I think another advantage to the road glide over the street glide is the filler panels that I hide the coolant tank on the road glide .
I have a 22 street glide with the 107. All stock motor. I added the Wilber’s suspension front and rear and it completely transformed the bike. Feels 100 lbs lighter. Now I see this bike. Sell my current bike? Or continue with my plan to add the 135? 🤔
Hah! I knew I'd get crap for that comment but after building several of these things at 80k+ the price doesn't seem so bad. It's all relative to what one of these things costs if you build it yourself.
Try looking at freedom shield wind screens. I have one on my 22 flhxst and got the eagle 🦅 etching on it and it looks great and now I have no wind buffeting on my head and when I do look through the wind screen at times there is no distortion as in most of the other companies offerings that I have seen
Hey Matt I went from a street glide special to this as well. I think the faring width is about the same but is it me or when your funneling into a stop light between cars it feels a lot wider ? Or just more girth ? Idk that’s one of the things I felt right off the bat
Hi Matt from north east Victoria, Australia. The finish looks absolutely amazing on that CVO Road Glide especially the black but I still cannot get my head around how ugly that fairing is !! Surely HD can come up with something more aesthetically pleasing?
I always looked at baggers as a strictly long distance touring motorcycle. That is until 2022 when the Road and Street Glide ST’s came out. I’m 6’ 7” and I wanted something fast and sporty. I now have that in my 22 Road Glide ST 131. Love these bikes and they are only getting better. Again congrats on a beautiful bike.
131 nice man! Enjoy and thank you

Thanks man. Yea, it's a good looking bike
Appreciate the Saturday morning upload. Motorcycles and coffee. Cheers. Thank you for taking the time to spend some time with the bike to provide a more concrete review. Still looking forward to future mods.
Thanks for the 1st comment my friend. I've been working on this one for a while. Enjoy. Thanks for watching
King of the Baggers: Run a Saturday race two-up. King and Queen of the Baggers. Same bikes as Sunday, but ya gotta carry a friend.
haha! I think that's a great idea. Gotta run the race 2-up!
That would be awesome!
Lol like side car racing 😂
Thank you!!! I appreciate you supporting the channel
I’m a Street Glide guy but they knocked it out of the park with the Road Glide. Always enjoy your videos Matt!
Thanks man. Yea, I really like the new batwing fairing. Only if they did an ST CVO with it....
I love how you put this video together. Very inspirational.
I think you and the viewers made a good choice with the raven black, as long as you are honestly happy with it! Looks like a really really fun bike and I remember when you guys talked previously about how they should make a real performance bagger.
I didn’t think you’d ever buy anything but a street glide so glad to see you on a road glide..
Yea, I had to have this ST CVO. So forced to get the Road Glide haha
Congratulations!!! Beautiful, badass bike.
As always great video, awesome bike, good talks. Congrats, Matt! Man, these videos will get me in trouble, been pretty successful staying away from test ridding one of those beasts, but it’s more and more tempting.
Haha. Thanks man. Yea, I get people in trouble. Don’t ride one. You’ll want one.
K1600B owners have been laughing at what others call Performance baggers for years now
160hp and 180Nm torque and a chassis that can use it
Awesome video Matt, and it was great to meet you yesterday at the shop. We were the couple from Nova Scotia, Canada
I feel they should offer a version without the speakers to hold costs down abit.
Had a Road Glide and never used the sound system.....
and Weight!.....
sweet edit, looking forward to the build series. thanks Matt
Thanks man. Thanks for watching
Gorgeous bike Matt, looking forward to see you doing some upgrades. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
One of the best content creators on TH-cam!
My views on the CVO-ST is that it's like a grand touring car. Aston Martin or a Bentley if you will, it's a classy performance machine build to take you around the world, and to me that is pretty damn awesome! Congrats to your new bike Matt!
I have the CVO ST in black and I love it...
Nice man. Enjoy
So
Awesome machine . Finally u chosed the black color👏🏽👏🏽🤙🏽 the bike (the Hot Rod 🔥) defines u. Ride in good and healthy days 🤙🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🫡
Thanks for the Vid… beautiful bike. I would have expected better mirrors for a CVO but over all Harley knocked it out of the park. Congrats on your new bike.
Agreed! I'm currently looking into changing the mirrors
Such a great review video, Matt. Thanks a million.
Thank you! That’s means a lot. Thanks for the comment.
Haha. Well said.
Outstanding video! Never new about the Performance Baggers. Looking to upgrade my VTX 1800, this is def a serious set of wheels.
Up until now I’ve truly enjoyed your content. I find it interesting, informative and entertaining. I follow MDB, Thrashin, Two Lane Guys, Travelling tall, Be the Boss of your Motorcycle. I am a European rider:

My next bike, the 4th in my garage will be a HD and probably Street Glide CVO.
Cheers
Brittany/France
Custom/Cruisers/baggers/full touring is a general USA thing more than a HD thing🇺🇸
If you go back to 1980, The Honda Interstate full tourer launched the same time as the HD Tour glide. The Goldwing started out for the American market before it ended up elsewhere. Yes, Indian went AWOL during this period. 😅
Concerning weight, if you look at the weight of a fully loaded Bagger/full Tourer, I don’t believe anybody is going to notice. However you put 5kg more on a Ducati Multistrada and you might get the wrath of that lot! 😂
I quoted the 2020 SG cvo because one of their colour schemes comes with black faced dashboard gauges and orange dials.
Thanks Jeff. Enjoy your CVO ST. 🤙🏼 you got a great machine.
Haha. Stefan, come ride it soon. 👍🏼 you need to try out a bike with some power my friend.
@@MattLaidlaw I'll be back! (end of August)
I’ve got a 1,000 miles on my CVO RG ST in the month I’ve had it. By far the best HD I have rode.
Nice man. I'm loving mine so far.
Enjoy!!
I don’t blame you. There’s beauty in a naked road king. 🤙🏼 thanks for the comment
Man, I am obsessed with the 2024 bikes. I can’t wait to pick one up
You have done a great review of that bike along with the comparisons and differences to other models of that year and references to previous years as well.
Well played Mr. Laidlaw…..Well played. Love your new bike! Cant wait to see what you do to her. Back in Black!
Great review, I still want to see a street glide version of this beast, that would be so mean.
This is definitely going to be an absolutely awesome build. Can't wait to see what you do with it
Next video! Coming soon.
Sounds incredible and looks so much fun to ride! Enjoy!
I can't wait to get some mileage on it !
Congratulations Matt so well deserved. What an awesome dream machine 👌🏻
Thanks.
Thank you!! My next video is me tearing into the bike and making my mods.
Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Thats a fine looking ride you have there. Appreciate the video.
Really sweet black beast, enjoyed your review as always...
Love my WN CVO Roadglide
I have a 2020 Fat boy 30th anniversary. I did zero engine mods, I did the fairly new Öhlins SE suspension upgrade and omg! that fatboy is now a canyon carver. no joke. the biggest difference is the change in the geometry of the suspension. 13"shock in the rear raises slightly but also gives you more bump absorbing travel, on top of that they lowered the forks in the triple trees slightly. all this leads to increased cornering angles and road holding is amazingly good. now it's a king of the baby baggers! it's road handling characteristics are vastly improved over stock suspension
Congrats again! Not much you need to do to it. That power is addictive. Enjoy.
Yea the power is all I need. Especially coming from a 107!
sic review man 👍 sounds awesome already.
just watchin danny at the moment... his bike sounds sick!
Danny has a good series going. Yea his bike sounds good. We installed a 2 brother pipe on his bike for him 🤙🏼
I will be buying probably just the blue burst 24 road glide, but I love this bike.
@@MattLaidlaw Yep, it was awesome to see in the sun. Just love these new bikes though, the fairing is so cool and they ride really light and nimble.
The intro was very nice, once again Matt makes amazing video
About the bike, i am looking forward for driving it here in Germany on the Autobahn (with no speed limit 💪🏼) just open throtle
At last, Congrats Matt for the new Bike
Congratulations on the new ride, Matt!
Be safe…
Great review Mat well said on all aspects
Hey Matt, like this. Saw something from Torque Custom Cycles who Cyclefanatics deals with. They a plugin work around for the Apple CarPlay so that it’s runs by Bluetooth. Enjoy your videos and looking forward to the next traveling video.
Best CVOST review. Damn I want that bike lol
👍
Also could agree more on the adjustable windshield
The fit and finish is really amazing on these black motors
Yea, the fit/finish is super high level
lol everyone knows Matt a $12 Amazon dongle solves the Apple car play problem 😅.
Awesome video Matt , I bought the white CVO ST can’t wait to see what you do to your CVO ST excited to see the upcoming videos.
Hi Matt,
Great review. I want that bike! Being the same height as you I can’t wait to see your review of your upgrades.
In stock form the Road Glide is physically too small.
Crack on with them upgrades so I can then decide to place an order an do the same as you.
🤞🏍️😊👍
Upgrade video is coming soon!
Thanks for the video. I hope to get mine soon and also will be getting it redone for long haul travel. Would appreciate getting your set up with mods. Been thinking for a while about getting the highway pegs installed, luggage, heated grips, higher front glass and higher bars.
An awesome video Matt. Love this bike and would love to have one.
Thanks man. I'm excited
So I just put a deposit down on one, upgrading my 2022 road glide st. I'm 6'4 and I currently use the Harley Tall boy seat. Was just curious as to what seat you were thinking of changing to. Thanks
Whoa!! What a beauty! We don't say Indian around Matt Laidlaw😁
@MattLaidlaw Great video, btw!
Matt, what kind of coolant temperatures have you been noticing on your CVO ST?
I think another advantage to the road glide over the street glide is the filler panels that I hide the coolant tank on the road glide .
Excellent recap. Another subject--have you tried out the new HD air bag vest? Are they selling?
Super helpful - Tahnk you Matt
Glad to see you on your new Bike👍😎🏍️
Love this bike!
I have a 22 street glide with the 107. All stock motor. I added the Wilber’s suspension front and rear and it completely transformed the bike. Feels 100 lbs lighter. Now I see this bike. Sell my current bike? Or continue with my plan to add the 135? 🤔
Pretty cool stuff 👍
Great review, but “surprised it came in at a price point this low” at 43k….. c’mon Matt 😂😂
Beautiful bike, Matt. Can someone measuring 5 foot 4 ride this bike safely?
Hey Matt I went from a street glide special to this as well. I think the faring width is about the same but is it me or when your funneling into a stop light between cars it feels a lot wider ? Or just more girth ? Idk that’s one of the things I felt right off the bat
Hi Matt from north east Victoria, Australia. The finish looks absolutely amazing on that CVO Road Glide especially the black but I still cannot get my head around how ugly that fairing is !! Surely HD can come up with something more aesthetically pleasing?
Sick dude!
