SOMETHING GHOSTLY SOUNDS SO GOOD OMG
No one EVER remixes that song, really refreshing to hear a new arrangement of it. You freakin' nailed it, man.
Agreed
Gradius Rebirth says Hello.
OMG, this was 9 years ago...! 😭
Time flies!
>Crinkles to implosion
hell yeah
HOLY MOLY!!! this is the best arrangement of the Gradius II soundtrack I've ever heard!!
Not only did you capture the essence of EVERY single song using less advanced hardware, I'd say some sound downright better than the originals.
Fantastic job man!
(WHY didn't TH-cam recommend this sooner!!)
Your take on Farewell is legit nostalgic
My four favorite themes from the Gradius series are all from Gradius II, and _all_ remixed beautifully.
_-A Shooting Star_
_-Take Care!_
_-Deprived Sanctity_
_-Overheat_
Best 8-bit rendition of Poison of Snake here. Just the exact tempo I likr the most
Oh my God, this is the best thing I've heard since Shimoine's VRC6 Konami covers. Thank you so much for giving me 35 minutes of rockout.
Got my fingers crossed for a Gradius 3 playlist, this is awesome!
My faves so far were the Title Demo, Equipment, Poison of Snake, Fire Dragon and Farewell
Overheat sounds really damn good.
+Mitchulhu Mitch Thanks. I had way too much fun with that one
I can see.
I think maximum speed ost and over heat combine
07:15 - Its correct title is 'Fortress' instead of 'Alien'
Nice job! This soundtrack cover sounds REALLY good!
VRC6 Deprived Sanctity is so satisfying.
And VRC6 _Take Care!_ is just amazing.
07:15 This one got frickn nice! I tought the name of this song was "Fortress"
id love to play through a hacked version of Gradius 2 on famicom with this music. make it happen, someone!
Yes!! This sounds amazing!!
I love this! Especially the remakes of Overheat, Burning Heat, Heavy Blow (some of my favourite tracks from Gradius II) and Aircraft Carrier!
Could you provide a new link to the FTM file so I could listen to it on Droidsound-E? The current link in the description seems to be dead.
Yooooo what?! What happened to the forums??
Welp, looks like I gotta get this up on my Patreon
Yeah, they shut down. Don't know why, but it's a forum, they don't usually last forever, mostly because of maintenance issues or the domain running out and not being renewed.
It led to a lot of DPCM packs becoming lost and unavailable apparently, but some guy on Reddit managed to make a Google Drive of DPCM samples so thank god for that.
Also ok.
@@DynamiteManEXEActually, quick question, what speed/tempo did you compose these at? And how many instruments did you have/use on average?
@@cartoongodelitedevy4051 aaaand uploaded over on my Patreon!
having just reviewed the ftm before uploading it, turns out I alternate tempos alot.
@@DynamiteManEXE Hey sorry for bothering you again but do you have a Discord? I've got something I want to talk with you about.
Vulcan Venture!!
Awesome :D
dis is breddy kewl
What if Gradius 2 (arcade version) was on NES?
There's also a bit of c64 touches in it.
Erm... no there's not? This is all done with a custom chip for the Famicom by Konami, there's nothing that has to do with the Commodore 64 with this whatsoever.
Meeptroid Zero he probably said that cuz of the arps in each arrangement
plz.... let me download'em all T^T because this kickass!!!
this sound chip is fm sound or psg sound?but this sound is pretty awesome°○°
Nope. It's the Konami VRC6, of which the extra sound channels were only used in 3 Konami games exclusive to the Nintendo Famicom, one of which being Akumajo Densetsu/Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse
...so, to answer your question, it's PSG
I heard this in radel's new gradius!!!
+Hin shun Wong Yeah, I kinda wish they had asked me to use it beforehand, though...
...and it sounded like they downloaded an earlier draft and downgraded it to MMC5.
Regardless, it was a flattering gesture, though; having people like my covers enough to use em like that (ಡ∀ಡ)
Can you send the music file?
this needs a download link, badly D:
Fuckin
Rad
no NSF?
Weren't most of these songs already using the VRC6 ship since that's the one the NES Gradius 2 used? What's the point of remixing them using the same sound chip?
The Famicom game never had the VRC6 chip, and while it did have the MMC5 extension, it was used for graphical enhancements such as the effects with the suns in the first stage, much like how the Famicom Contra had the MMC5 create animated backgrounds. The music remained using the base 2A03. So no, they weren't using the same sound chip.
With that logic, what's the point of any remixing or performing anything, regardless of the original format?
Damn this remixes are so freaking amazing!!
Dead End (one of my favorite tracks) sound so fucking cool!! and something Ghostly sounds cool too, Last enemy?... no words
Another thing, can I have your permission for using this tracks in a project I have? (I give absolute credits, I never liked to "steal" this class of content, is a sin).
Thanks! ^^
+MetalSonicodraco7342 Sho sho 8V
I know, it's cool XD
He said yeah it's cool
Could you please post MP3s?
FTM? For anyone who is interested in this. It's not like I can download anyway.
Seriously though, as a fan of chiptune music this just blows me away
Gofer no Ya Boi!
