    Game I regret buying big time...The GTA Trilogy. I had high hopes, but after encountering many bugs and technical issues, I had to put the game down. It was clear not a lot of effort was put in the game.

    There are a few games I regret paying full/close to full price for after seeing them get deeply discounted not too long after. It especially hurts if it's a game I haven't even cracked the seal of lol. Persona Strikers is probably the one I most regret for this (& I probably should have bought the PS4 version looking back now 😅).

    Since I was a child, buying a game was like a lifetime decission, so whenever I decide to buy a game, I watch like 1000 reviews and gameplays xD. I have seven nintendo switch physical games, and I love them all(Mario Kart 8, Mortal Kombat 11, three pokemon games, just dance 2022 and crash bandicoot n sane trilogy) but I once saw Yooka Layle on sale on the eShop, and decided to buy it. I only played like one day and left it :( Maybe it wasn't the best time for me to play it, hopefully I'll return to it
    Your video was so much fun, I suscribe

    I don't have that much money to go around, so I try pick and choose the games I buy carefully. So far I haven't necessarily regretted any games I've bought, but there are a few notes that make me go 'hmmm'
    Pokemon Ultra Moon made me feel a little 'eh' on the factor of having bought Sun. It was so similar, but had just that little bit more and I had only somewhat recently in the grand scheme of things gotten into buying games, so the hype of 'new thing! cure my depression!' was Strong. But I don't regret buying the games, they're both ok and I enjoyed playing them
    Pokemon Sword comes to the closest of actual regret probably. It's Expensive, yet there wasn't that much to do in it. The story was meh, there was very little to no post-game, the DLC (that I'm Not buying because that'd make this game cost like, 90€ as a whole good LORD, Not Worth It) was not part of the actual game... I only really got the game so I could have a Zacian. But in hindsight, the rate at which they keep adding all past legendaries into each new game these days makes me think maybe my though of 'I'll never see it again' was a rushed false one. Anyway, other than Zacian, the only thing making the game decent to me is the fact that I've been able to breed myself a handful of my dream shinies in this game. But it's taken a lot of time so yeah
    Pokemon Snap I did not buy personally. The game looks phenomenal and I'm sure I'd have fun with it! But my main reasoning on not getting it (outside of the price) is the fact that my playthrough of it would be just the same as anyone else's. I can get the same experience while watching another person play it and snap cool pictures etc. There's no team building or optimizing or anything. In regular Pokemon you choose your own team of 6 mons to use, it's unique in what mons you use, which moves you want for them to learn, what you name them, their natures etc. Fire Emblem too has you managing your units, firstly you strategize how to get through each map, secondly you choose which units you keep using to try and having in the team until the end + level ups have a bit of RNG involved, so the same unit can end up different on every single playthrough! Pokemon Snap doesn't have such high level of personal input an variety in everyone's experience. It's a great game, people prefer different pictures they've taken and all that, but overall everyone is going to have mostly the same experience, so I'm happy with just watching others play rather than buying it for 70€

    Mario sports games have definitely lost a lot since the gamecube era where they were in their prime. Nothing will ever help me recover from Ultra Smash on the Wii U. Thankfully the gameplay for Aces is much better and competitive but eh, I just wait till all the DLC to come out before I get them now. Pokemon Snap was such a fun game back on the N64 and I always hoped they'd release a sequel. I loved New Pokemon Snap but I'll be honest, I haven't played it as much as I thought I would all things considered.

    Xenoblade 2. Man, was that game filled with so many plot holes, contrivances, and overused anime tropes. Nia, Morag, and Zeke were fine, but Rex and Pyra were just insufferable and incredibly generic. Do I even need to bring up the character designs? Rex’s body looks like 99% of shonen protagonists, while his outfit is just completely unusable and ugly as hell.
    At least the music was great.

    Hey Mandy here I am 3 days later but I know it's been a while lol. I am SO GLAD SOMEONE agrees that these Mario sports games and the switch sports game just ain't it. I am hating this tread with Nintendo putting this sports games out with nothing on them for 60 bucks and then want to add more content later after no one is really playing the game anymore like if you are holding all this content THEN RELEASE IT WITH THE FULL GAME. I have 3 games that I regret buying:
    1. No More Heroes 3 - This game disappointed me very much. The story is forgettable, the gameplay isn't as engaging as the previous games in the series and overall it feels like a sequel of the series' spinoff, Travis Strikes Again.
    2. Anima: Gate of Memories Arcane Edition - To keep it short, I bought it in thinking that it was going to be like a Devil May Cry kind of game which it sometimes feels like it but the price in which I got it was very unfavorable.
    3. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age - I bought this game because everybody that I knew that played this said that the Xenoblade Chronicles games were similar to this. However when I started playing it, a certain mechanic that is in this game I found was frustrating.

    So far the regrets for the Switch have been:
    Mario Golf - really loved the gamecube one and was looking forward to it here but it just didn't scratch that itch and was boring most of the time.
    Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - I can see how it was on GBA and it was worth it but I didn't like that it was 60 and had little extra. Sure the 3D models were adorable but not enough to warrant a full price
    Mario 3D Land - Not that I super regret buying it, but I haven't been in the mood to play it and it was 60 dollars. Wanted to play with my wife but she wasn't interested so it just sits now.

I usually got a lot of enjoyment out of them, but I struggled to get through Pokémon Sun. There was just something about it that, for the first time didn't appeal to me. Both games have the same problem of adding content later on that should've been in the game in the first place but Super Rush I felt had more content (and more characters) at launch wheras Strikers felt barebones even moreso than Super Rush. Plus the online feels repetitive and boring especially with the 10 characters that you see over and over again. I never played Mario Tennis Aces so I don't have a firm opinion on it. But I will agree those games should not have been 60$ at launch. Especially Strikers.

    I am having a ton of fun with Overcooked 2, but that is probably only because I have my girlfriend to play with.
    You're right, if I was solo and I had to play this game, that would be a "no-way" scenario. I'd rather go play AC: Black Flag or Stardew Valley on Switch.

    I had recently bought Yomawari collection. It is expensive to get a physical copy. And I hate it! I am struggling to beat this game. I have played indie horror games that were better.
    Was not a fan of Metroid Dread, either. I did beat the game but I did not enjoy playing it.

    I know the feeling, I bought that new Mario one but still haven't open it, wonderif it worth or not maybe you can tell if the striker worth it. As for a game i regret buying was that Vampire Masquerade which i thought was different but wasn't what i liked and not stock with it. I di9d order that Capcom collection which I will love when it come wondering if I should return the Strikers. I knew Pokemon snap was ging to eb gtame not worth it I play the first one after a few games it not worth the money. I also have that Triangle Strategy that haven't touch either much. There a game that just came out that i mgith want Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that look fun.

    Idk fam Tennis Aces is actually solid over Golf and Strikers tbh multiplayer sports games is dependent on who plays with you. People didn't understand Switch Sports is for that audience not the core enthusiasts. I regret buying Saints Row because that game is eh but was cheap to get so hindsight the worst $3 I spent ever.

    • @MandyleePlays
      @MandyleePlays  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well $3 ain’t that bad Lol idk if it’s just me thinking to much into it but I feel Nintendo sports games are getting worse
      Maybe Nintendo is having a hard time with the online aspect of there sports games kinda like how they took forever to add decent online play for Mario party
      I think any type of audience is expecting online play these days which hurts single player experience
      Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ like I said probably overthinking lol

    • @DankMemeCenterX
      @DankMemeCenterX 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MandyleePlays I do agree there and you're not overthinking here that's a legitimate problem but quality of content is very subjective portion. Nintendo and online is so 50/50 atm either they support party invites or not. The app hasn't added more games since ACNH. That $3 could have save me a few bucks on mhrise voucher lol.
