I'm not that big of a fan of 1D and I can say that Louis was the first voice I picked up from their songs, I think he has a charisma even just in his voice alone.

Spot on. That is true even today. His accent is the same. His dresses very simply. He is grounded. He sleeps in the tour bus when on tours. His loves his fans genuinely. I'm only about 1.5 years into 1D. All the lads were the same to me. Watched a few X factor programs where Lou was a judge. Then slowly n gradually started following Lou n now I'm besotted with him. I adore everything about him. I wish my son was like him. Just the sight of him brings a smile to my face n I'm smiling throughout his interviews. That's the effect this lad has on me. I first listened to 1D a few months earlier and the first voice which managed to get my attention was Louis'. He has such a beautiful beautiful voice and then i started watching their other videoes and interviews and Louis' stood out the most. Like he was the one who would lighten the mood and crack a few jokes and not to mention how he wrote on most songs and how amazing the songs were. And also he was the FIRST singer ever whose album i streamed. I usually just listen to random songs from my fav singers but he was the ever album i listened to like the whole album and not a few songs was Louis. I love his voice and the lyrics.
