Just started watching. I kind of laughed when you said it was big. We spent 6 nights in a studio the first time. BUT with 2 kids on the pull out that room got small very quickly. We stayed in a 1BR in June and it so huge. Our next stay we are doing a 2BR. We bought a second contract there because we love it so much. Across the hall is also a great view called island garden and you can see the luau and the ocean. Less points. It's the Ewa Tower.
We go to the Marriott two doors down every year. (I have family and very close friends on Oahu) we go to Foodland, Longs or Safeway for staples, then go to the local places for plate lunch to save some money. We usually splurge for dinner, we try to eat at the Marriott, Aulani and The Four Seasons to get our Ko Olina sunset. This side has the best Sunset on the island.
Aloha! I like the included tea kettle. These room tours are raising my expectations. WDW I want tea kettles and duvets in my DVC villas please! Looks like it was a fabulous trip
OMG…..That view from your room is awesome….especially at night. Can’t wait for more…. Shame about the icky shower curtain. Nice kitchenette…..mugs are definitely needed. Maybe you could of just brought a couple of cheap mugs from target……👍🇬🇧
We flew to Honolulu for our wedding in 2013 and then did a 7 day Hawaiian Island cruise! I'm trying to plan a return trip for 2023 for our 10 year anniversary.....fingers crossed!
Thank you for your video! We’ve stayed in Aulani 2x. The 1st time was 6 years ago in a one bedroom, and last February a 2 bedroom. It was nice seeing the studio!
I’m so excited for this series! I hope things align and our whole family can go in January 24. And as you know, it’s only like 8 months til the 7 month booking window so this feels immediately relevant!
Showing your fridge was actually very helpful as Im currently prepping and planning to an Aulani studio in two months. Last time I went, I spent too much on food. But havent been too sure how much I can save with a kitchenette. Your coverage of that and even opening the cupboard was helpful. Thanks!
Stephanie, there's a Costco (which I actually don't recommend as it's quite busy all the time and really the quantities are too large for a short trip) and a Target just one exit away and SUPER convenient. There's a small ABC store directly across the street but we found it REALLY expensive and the selection wasn't great.
I am not a good flyer but this video series really makes me want to visit Hawaii! Definitely would stay at Aluani after making that trek from the east coast.
Living your best life Jenn. I have been in well, high school and college drama. I forgot what it was like at that age. I'm so glad I'm a Mom now and past all that. So yes, the beach for the few days sounds like HEAVEN.
oh my goodness that lamp is adorable :) It seems like the room really is designed with the warmth of the wood without being dark. What a lovely place to stay for a week!
Aloha Jen and Hubby, My hubby and I swam in one of the coves on the west side of Oahu and watched as the Aulani was being built! Your view is stupendous...ocean, pool AND mountain---the best of all worlds! Enjoy! (Halloween is a great time to visit Hawaii...we spent that day at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai some years ago).
YES we were very happy with our room! Honestly I love looking at the ocean but the mountains are so beautiful as well so I loved having both. Very lucky!
I really enjoy this format, Jen! Very informative with great photos and video, and at the same time we get the benefit of your thoughts having already been there. It looks beautiful, I'm so glad you and Scott had a great time!
Scott they had JUST rolled that out and would you believe I forgot to bring even one of my DOZENS of magic bands?? Glad to know it's working and have a mai tai for me!
I really should have just bought a mug but I was mad at Disney prices during our trip and was silently refusing to buy anything. (I mean you didn't actually ask why but there it is)
So beautiful. We have the points, but I’m not sure I can handle the flight especially since I don’t live near a hub. Maybe if we stayed a night or two at Disneyland and then went it would be more manageable?
We flew from Boston,MA to LAX about 5 hr flight, stayed in Anaheim 2 nights, then flew about 5 hrs to Honolulu to go to Aulani & same flight home, stayed in Anaheim again. It really helped to break up the long flight.
Beautiful! It sounds like you guys had a great time. I can't wait for the rest of the videos 😊 You may have said this and I missed it. Was this your first time at Aulani?
We were there last November, and they told us they no longer do welcome leis :-(. They told us we could go accross the street to the grocery store to get one. So if a welcoming lei is important to you, consider purchasing something ahead of time at the airport cause your not getting one at Aulani.
Thanks for sharing, looks beautiful. On another note 9 hour flight with a sinus infection...yikes...hopefully you were well into your antibiotics by then...otherwise the pressure! But worth it in the end.
Carissa YES I was worried but did better than I thought. It took WEEKS to feel 100% but we didn't let it slow us down. It was a pretty chill time so that helped me heal immensely. That and the sea!
if you ordered food from a local grocery store, how much money should one plan on budgeting? is Instacart or another delivery service offered to the resort?
When I heard you mention no comforter on another vlog that’s a huge NO for me. I need that to sleep, and how much cheaper is Disney getting. I heard they are doing discounts now but not enough for me, still not worth it. I’m debating buying dvc but thinking Saratoga cuz Disney Springs is so close. I’m Northern California so Hawaii not too bad to fly to and I want to go back. Also thinking Disneyland Tower cuz I need a hotel when I go to LA, I drive, love having my car and take my time and stopping on the way. Grew up in LA so traffic doesn’t scare me. I’m retiring early next year so going to be watching flight prices. Hope you have or had the best time ever. Love your vlogs.
I get you shouldn't have to and why you wouldn't want to, but the tea/mug situation -- I might have used that as an excuse to buy myself a souvenir mug.
Just stunning…. That view is pretty spectacular. Looking forward to the rest of this series. Your Disneyland series was great! Loving all the fun content and beautifully done editing. Well done 👏🏻😊
Please allow me to share what happened this morning. My husband opened up TH-cam and shouts to me in the other room: “Is Jen lefforge in Hawaii?” I shout back: “no why?” Him: “she just posted a TH-cam that’s she’s in Hawaii.” So my husband who is in his 30s and Your mom both think you’re in Hawaii right now and apparently don’t know how this works.

One day! Maybe when I retire….just the flights from NY r thru the roof❤❤❤
Yes, it's definitely not cheap to fly out there from the east coast!
@@JenLefforge but one day for sure. Being a DVC member just like you, grateful to at least have it in my radar❤️❤️
We’re planning on going Sept 2023 so I’m so excited for this series!
I hope it helps!!
Aloha! I like the included tea kettle. These room tours are raising my expectations. WDW I want tea kettles and duvets in my DVC villas please! Looks like it was a fabulous trip
TEA KETTLES AND DUVETS yes yes yes.
OMG…..That view from your room is awesome….especially at night.

Shame about the icky shower curtain.
Nice kitchenette…..mugs are definitely needed. Maybe you could of just brought a couple of cheap mugs from target……👍🇬🇧
This may be the only way I'll get to see Aulani, so thanks for showing us! 😍👨🚒
Love seeing the two of you together, I hope it was a relaxing, reconnecting trip!
It was! We loved every minute!
We flew to Honolulu for our wedding in 2013 and then did a 7 day Hawaiian Island cruise! I'm trying to plan a return trip for 2023 for our 10 year anniversary.....fingers crossed!
How beautiful! Thanks Jen!

YES! Comforter is a big win
It was so cozy and lovely!
Love that’s there’s a screen.
Seriously such a lovely thing to have!
I’m so excited for this series! I hope things align and our whole family can go in January 24. And as you know, it’s only like 8 months til the 7 month booking window so this feels immediately relevant!
I have to say the pre-planning is my favorite thing so you KNOW I get this!
This was the room I had on my first trip to Aulani.
How fun!
I really want to stay here!so excited to see your take

It sounded like you could hear the ocean from your room ! Love it!!
We absolutely could and it was heaven!!
Love Aulani! Hope you made it to their Spa, one of my favorites on island 🏝!
Yes! I am Loving this series already! Well done! Can not wait for the rest of the videos ☺️🌴🌺
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Alexis! Thank you!
Amazing! I did hear the resort food is crazy expensive and it just money saving to go across the street from resort
Oh I cannot wait to see everything!
I’m looking forward to this vlog series. Hawaii is on my bucket list.
I am not a good flyer but this video series really makes me want to visit Hawaii! Definitely would stay at Aluani after making that trek from the east coast.

Glad I could give you a little bit of an escape, Kim! Hang in there!
Nice, can’t wait to see what more you have for us.
Aloha! 🌺. Glad you are doing an Aulani trip. I live on the Big Island but haven’t visited Aulani yet - it’s definitely on my list!
It's such a beautiful resort! Thanks for watching!
❤️
I love AULANI!!!
Very nice room, but that view! My goodness, absolutely gorgeous
Yeah, we would sit out in the evenings and could hear the live entertainment . . .just heavenly!
I haven’t been to Aulani but it looks beautiful!
It was so magical, Natalie!
oh my goodness that lamp is adorable :) It seems like the room really is designed with the warmth of the wood without being dark. What a lovely place to stay for a week!
We felt so completely at home there. Truly. And I don't always feel that way in Disney rooms so I was happily surprised!
This resort is BEAUTIFUL, and we really hope to visit it and Hawaii someday! So glad that you and Scott had this time away just the two of you!
It took us over 30 years to get back there together but I'm so glad we finally did! Hoping it won't be another 30 before we get back.
❤ ALOHA ..thanks for sharing 🏖🌋🏖
My pleasure, Lili! Thanks for watching!
Can’t wait for the rest of this series!

Oh hurray! I'm so glad you liked it!
I am so excited for these videos. Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
It was such a magical trip, Somi! I hope I can capture even a bit of how great it was.
FYI - magicbands (not plus) also work if you don't want to carry the physical card around. (Sitting in my 1bdr villa oceanview as I type)
Scott they had JUST rolled that out and would you believe I forgot to bring even one of my DOZENS of magic bands?? Glad to know it's working and have a mai tai for me!
@@JenLefforge Or two or three. :-).
@@sbonar The ones at Off the Hook are SO GOOD and just the way I like them. The monkeypod ones have a weird foam thing going on that I don't love.
Beautiful! Will definitely have to use points to stay there sometime.
Sara definitely worth doing at least once!
Oh my word stunning 😍😍 hope you both had an amazing time 😃 it’s on my bucket list 😃xx
We will remember it forever and it was truly amazing! Thanks for watching!
@@JenLefforge love your vlogs 🥰🥰xxx
Yay!!! I’m so excited for these videos. ❤️😘
I hope everybody likes them - definitely not my normal trip vlogs but I'm really happy with them.
I loved this video! So excited for the series 🤩
thanks for watching, Danielle!
We were there in August and miss it already! I bought real coffee cups the first day because unless I’m taking it to-go I need real mugs! 😂
I really should have just bought a mug but I was mad at Disney prices during our trip and was silently refusing to buy anything. (I mean you didn't actually ask why but there it is)
Looks gorgeous!
It was amazing, Lisa!
We just got back from Disneyworld and I was surprised that our Pop Century room had a comforter! Poly and AKL did not 😢
That's encouraging! Maybe the others will follow suit.
Quick correction, Deluxe Studios at WDW only have paper coffee cups. No the proper porcelain cups as found in 1,2,3 BRs
So beautiful. We have the points, but I’m not sure I can handle the flight especially since I don’t live near a hub. Maybe if we stayed a night or two at Disneyland and then went it would be more manageable?
YES this is a great idea! And it will help with the time change, too.
I think spending a couple of nights at DL is the way to go,
We flew from Boston,MA to LAX about 5 hr flight, stayed in Anaheim 2 nights, then flew about 5 hrs to Honolulu to go to Aulani & same flight home, stayed in Anaheim again. It really helped to break up the long flight.
Just booked a Studio for two nights through DVC Rental Store!!
Love that!!
Beautiful! It sounds like you guys had a great time. I can't wait for the rest of the videos 😊 You may have said this and I missed it. Was this your first time at Aulani?
It was my first time staying there - we've visited Oahu and actually Ko Olina before and we had eaten there a couple of times.
We were there last November, and they told us they no longer do welcome leis :-(. They told us we could go accross the street to the grocery store to get one. So if a welcoming lei is important to you, consider purchasing something ahead of time at the airport cause your not getting one at Aulani.
Oh, and if your a rice eater, or steamed veggie person, they can bring you a rice cooker to your room including studios, you just have to call and ask

Snorkeling in the morning is the best to see turtles and tropical fish.
How far in advance did you book with your points?? Right at the 7 month mark or did you find availability with less advance notice??
We booked 4 months before our trip.
I get you shouldn't have to and why you wouldn't want to, but the tea/mug situation -- I might have used that as an excuse to buy myself a souvenir mug.
YUP
Just stunning…. That view is pretty spectacular. Looking forward to the rest of this series. Your Disneyland series was great! Loving all the fun content and beautifully done editing. Well done 👏🏻😊
Carrie, thank you so much for your kind comment! That means a lot to me.
Did they get rid of the robes because of the pandemic? They had them in 2015.
Housekeeping is coming every day?
Not if you're a DVC member, no. They do trash and towel service on day 4.
Please allow me to share what happened this morning.
My husband opened up TH-cam and shouts to me in the other room: “Is Jen lefforge in Hawaii?”
I shout back: “no why?”
Him: “she just posted a TH-cam that’s she’s in Hawaii.”
So my husband who is in his 30s and Your mom both think you’re in Hawaii right now and apparently don’t know how this works.
I love this very much.
It seems like you should have purchased a mug to take home. I mean, like you kinda HAVE to for your tea, right? 🙂
