We camped there for so many years, had so many memories! The beach will NEVER BE THE SAME! I bet. Tall condos will be in there within 2 years

I will dearly miss all the Ian casualties that will never return. For me the 'Hammerhead Beach Gym's' loss just a couple doors South of the Red Coconut RV Park will be in my forever memory from many years of vacations on Estero Island where my parents lived. Thanks "Tiffany""....

She’s a good person. She deserves the wealth, but I know she’d give it all away to have that park back intact.

Sea Gate should rebuild a campground so that the RV owners that loved camping on the beach with their families have a place to do that. It was the only campground that was actually on the beach anywhere on the Gulf side of Florida. For that matter, anywhere in Florida. Fort Myers Beach is becoming the place for the party crowd that frequents night clubs, bars, and enjoys loud noisy music. Those are places that middle class families won't go.

They should have built a huge elevated slab, trailers on top and shady area underneath for pickleball and shuffleboard

Good for her, happy to know that FMB is going to build for the future, we need to stop living in the past! Progress is needed to move forward!

It would cost 3 million dollars just to restore Services Underground. She would have to replace 250 concrete slabs destroyed by the storm. On top of restoring all the power lines power poles roads and other necessities. It would take her years to recoup the money spent

This is really sad because my friend used to live here for many many years. They're planning to turn this into a resort into a little Miami? They still haven't learned a lesson from Ian. Stop building on the beach! The island cannot take all the weight that's put on it

Gulf shores and Orange Beach is getting the same way. Everybody's complacency in thinking that this will never happen to them? It only takes one storm to wipe out and complete Island. 100 years ago there was not a bunch of condos I was on the beach. I know she's getting older and I know that she wants to retire but this could have been sold to somebody who could have kept on the RV park and the memories and the history.
