Apple really couldn’t include a USB-C to USB-C in the 4K box? There was plenty of room left in the box just saying. I love Apple, but they really pulled a fast one this time
Totally! And the Best Buy employee never mentioned that I would need one of these USB C’s at both ends!! Apple you SUCK.
I got the newest remote third generation I believe I have a USB type C cable it doesn’t fit right and cable no fit in either. This is annoying and I don’t know what the hell to do. These remotes are not cheap.

I see no light when charging the 3rd gen remote. I can't believe there is no light. So how do you know when it is fully charged?

@@PatelFamilyHomeVideos you have to go into the tv screen to see it. Don't remember how. Go into settings maybe?
@@gosman949 Settings -> Remotes - the remote section shows the battery percentage, was able to confirm my battery is charged now
How do i know if it is charging because i bought mine today and tried my Samsung type C and i think it didn't work cause i didn't see any light on the remote and i still couldn't turn on my apple tv cause my remote doesn't have any battery left (i think). Hopefully my problem is from my cable that i am using. I was so excited for trying it now i got angry and will have to wait for tomorrow to go and buy a lightning cable
Apple charges so much & now they include nothing with their items. The Apple TV has no cord for the remote, the watch no longer comes with a charging cord, the phone has no cord either & also doesn’t come with earbuds. They say it’s to “help the environment” they say you probably already have these things, but my thought was they should give free vouchers then for the people who do not already have these things or for people who need new cords or earbuds. The phones are over $1,000. then you have to purchase everything you need a la cart, it’s ridiculous!!
How would they verify that someone doesn’t own one. Everyone would ask for a free voucher. Duh 😂

If you go to settings on the Apple TV then ‘remotes and devices’ then ‘remote’ you can see the battery percentage change as it charges

Thanks for the video to clarify the usb-c cable. After 30 years of using Apple products, the fact that the Apple TV and remote do not ship with a USB-C cable is pretty much the limit for me when it comes to their years of forcing buyers into their cable purchasing game. It just reveals Apple’s utter contempt for its customers.

It's hard to figure out whether it is charged or not. This is so bad Jobs would fire everybody involved.
Plug cable in to the remote go to Apple TV settings choose remote and you will see the charging symbol and the percentage charged.
Geez, I just bought a second Apple 4K TV Gen 3 with the USB-C port and I also have an Apple 4K TV Gen 2 with the Lightning port. DAMMMM

How do you know when it’s done recharging? And why do you suggest the USB-C to USB-C?
Same question here. No light. 2.5 hours charging should bring it to 100%
does light lit on remote when you plug it ..any android usb c will work? as in market there is hardly any third party usb c to usbc
I cannot believe they don’t include the wire charger. They do with phones and iPads and not this!

Mine wont even charge, it crapped out yesterday for no reason and using my old remote now. This new remote was such a huge miss by Apple, most of the primary apps on Apple tv don't even support the donut scroll.
Nevermind, I'm an idiot, I realized that when we paired our old remote I had to re-pair it, wish apple used the LED light on the remote more.

Only issue I am having is my Apple TV 4K remote isn’t connecting to my sky glass when it comes to the up down and mute volume buttons and it’s driving me insane. Any help?

They didn’t even have this in the instructions booklet for the 4K.
I changed the batteries in the first generation thought I could do the same for my 4K.

Because wired is better and faster than wireless charging. And it gets you to wait and go outside and do something else. Go get exercise.

2 minutes to explain that you just have to plug it in.
definitely explained that part during the first half of the video, so not sure why it took you 2 minutes to figure out the plug in part.
and he didn't even tell us that there is no charging light!
