Made the mistake of noticing the date this was uploaded was on what would have been my daddy's 91st birthday. Next week will be both my mum's 78th birthday & the 5 year mark of my daddy's death. This song could have been written and sung about both of them. That is the mark of a true artist - when your song becomes everyone's song. Well done, Dillon, and yes, my throat is sore from tears.

I heard this song flipping through the radio the other day. I don't keep up with a lot of newer country and when I heard this,I thought Eddie Montgomery had released a new song. Had to Google the song title when I couldn't find anything under a search of Eddie. Lol. They sound a lot alike.
I listened to this song several months ago on the great outdoors and I cried, ive known you since you were a young boy. You and my son HH became brothers by marriage sleeping in the basement, going to church on Wednesday nights. Now your both grown and I'm so proud of the men you've both became.
