Many really high end Cabo resorts allow you to spend the day in and around their pools as long as you buy food and drinks. We have done this twice. Super relaxing.

Excursions is the way to go. I did an excursion in Cabo which was an electric bike ride along a beach, etc, and it was glorious. I think the sail in and out was also very good. I never went into the town itself as such.
100% agree with your Cabo assessment. The whale watching tours are great if in season. Otherwise stay on ship. Blew my mind 1st time I came there so sad😢

Thank you for the videos! In early March we are going on the Discovery Princess, and you have helped us to plan our itinerary . We have cruise about 13 times , 9 on Carnival, 1 on Princess , NCL, and Royal Caribbean. I had a great time on the treadmill while watching your videos🥰
We were on a different cruise line when we were in Cabo and did the snorkel and sail trip through the cruise. We had the best crew and saw so many whales. It was the highlight of the trip and highly recommend it. So thankful we booked through the cruise because we were cutting it close getting back and were literally the last tender boat back to the ship.
Yeah, my husband and I had the same experience with solicitation when we went to Cabo....so sad... but other than that, we had a great time...❤❤ love your videos ❤have fun in all the other ports...Puerta Vallarta is my favorite port on West Mexico so far......

Love your video on Cabo. I truly like the fact that you were able to present two points of view about your visit. I appreciate the honesty. Having done Cabo twice before and will be doing it again on January 29th, I can honestly say that the ship sponsored whale watching trips have been wonderful. There was so much whale activity going on that we didn't know where to look. The breaching, tail slapping and the numerous amounts of whales centrally located was something else. I also love the enthusiasm you both bring to your viewers in your reviews. I am looking forward to the remainder of your posts. Thanks again for sharing.

Not sure if the other Mexican ports are the same. We also went to puerto Vallarta and ended with our group of 8 with a van and see a lot. The second time we contacted the driver and he picked us up again at the port. And we had a great time. And we were in Ensenada more the 10 years ago. I did an excursion and that was nice, but they gave us free time in the town and I didn’t like that, walking there by my own. Not that I was scared, but it was not nice, so I did go back to the ship with the shuttle bus in no time. I’m looking forward to see how the other ports are gonna be.

I haven't reached the end of this series yet (was waiting for all of the cruise videos to be posted so I could binge them) but how many books did she finish on this trip? BTW - every time my teenage daughter catches me watching one of your videos, she always comments on how beautiful Sherri's hair is.

Where did you get your medallion bands? The first episode you had lanyards and then 2nd episode they changed. Did you buy them on the ship? Order before hand? I know my comment is 10 months late but my Discovery Princess is coming up soon.
Hi! We actually bought them on the ship! There is a little kiosk on board that sells different medallion products. We liked the bands more than the lanyards
When we went to Ensenada it was a bit overwhelming with all the shopkeepers and people constantly asking you to buy things. I was over it after about 20 mins.
Cabo is one of our favorite ports, but not for walking around near the port. If I didn’t have an excursion planned, I too would stay on the ship. Otherwise we’ve done horseback riding next to the ocean and a luxury sailboat cruise which included lots of delicious food and drink, whales and actual sailing. I wont pretend to know what excursions peak your interest, but Cabo has plenty to make your stay more enjoyable. Before you write it off completely, visit Port Adventures and see what they have to offer or TH-cam Cabo Port Excursions. ✌🏻❤️💯
I have visited Cabo multiple times, even staying for over a week, and I have never experienced anything similar to what you are describing. I have walked around late at night and always felt safe. If you don't mind me asking, where did this take place?
Most of it happened around the plaza Bonita mall area. There was a little food stand on an corner where there seemed to be a group of guys hanging out, two of them came and asked me as I walked by, that’s where I was told they could get young girls. It also happened in the marina area shortly after I got off the tender boat. I assume I’ll get offered drugs is most port towns around the world. Heck, it happens in many cities even during normal travel, but this was one of the more blatant and in your face asks and offers I’ve seen before
This is such a great itinerary! Walking around the ports are not the way to go, however. So many fun excursions. Mazatlan gets the worst rap, but is one of the most fun away from the port. Mini speedboats are the best! This is my favorite itinerary of all my 20 cruises.
We said the same thing! We would do this itinerary every single year! We loved that it started with a sea day and ended with 2 sea days, and then had the ports right in the middle!
The tourist areas of Mexico used to be so safe that when I was a kid my family had no problem giving me some freedom running around. Now, things are different. Such a shame for a country so rich in culture and natural resources.
Yeah my wife and I were approached many times for "cigarettes or something else". Cabo is great as a resort town if you plan on staying in the resort. Doesn't have nearly as much to offer as Mazatlan and PV.

Asking if you want to buy drugs many times does put a damper on the day. We have been to Dominican a few times & our friend has a Canadian flag tattoo which has a maple leaf in the middle but looks like a pot leaf he was always hounded if he wanted to buy drugs. Amazing to see the whales we saw 1 in Puerto Vallarta last year in the bay it was the highlight of my trip to see one in the wild.
We've been very fortunate to see whales many times here in Alaska, but ti was so cool to see them so active, and to see so many humpbacks in such a small area!

Yes, Cabo was a tender port, which is another reason Sherri didn't want to get off the ship. She isn't a fan of tender ports either.

You should have taken a pantoga across the harbor to “ Office on the beach”. good food and drinks. Also Senor Frogs is cool.

Cabo was the only port we had any issues with. Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta were absolutely amazing, as you will see in upcoming videos!

Temps were pretty nice, mid to low 70's? Wish it was a little warmer, but it was still very comfortable!
