Dark Knight Rises was a light inspiration!

Haha. I had a suspicion that Han Zimmer inspiration would find its way to Doom. Thank you as well for checking out the video. Really appreciate it 👍

This one really grew on me, kinda lame the game doesnt let the stems go insane that often on world spear level

It paid off. Fucking loved World Spear. Gives off the same vibes as The Dark Knight Rises. Incredibly wondrous, little bit of loss and hope, and it sets up the rest of the DLC perfectly.

It makes doing training laps on this level worth it.

I hate the debate of who is better, I wish people would just appreciate every artist for what they bring to the table. Can definetely agree with most that Mick has more memorable and really unique heavy stuff, but in my honest opinion Andrew does a better job at creating a soundtrack. As you said this particular one sounds like a slow march with a lot of weight and importance and that mirrors what you actually do in the level and what it means for the story flawlessly. Also something I found that Micks stuff kinda lacked through the not as intense parts is that drive. Its a great gym track because it always keeps you going, has that energy.

No one has the right to compare musicians. All are great in their art.
Mick is Mick and levy and hulshult do their own thing which is still doom enough for the praises.

Ik I'm 6 months late but thank you for this. I don't think I've seen any discussion about David and Andrews soundtrack that hasn't been somehow spun into a debate about Mick Gordon and the controversy. It's really annoying and I'm sure the duo isn't that happy about constantly being compared to another artist.
Both are amazing soundtracks and they're made by incredibly talented people and I'm tired of everyone trying to pit them against each other.

The track blend with the level so good. Its so hard and heavy, the level is taking place in snowy, viking place, and in the middle of level you seriously feel like some mythological god who came to punish beings under him.

I thought this track was the highlight of the DLC, other tracks felt kind of soft and samey, like they relied to much on the bass parts, didn't have much of that sharpness. This one was the closest to the energy of Blood Swamps. Overall, the OST of TAG2 is good, but not as good as TAG1 in my opinion.
