    Yasuko, I love how you’ve kept your Japanese roots as well as incorporated the western world into your diet. As someone who lives in a westernized country, I get so much inspiration from your videos. Thank you 🙏🏼

    Thank you for another video 😊 The recipes looked amazing, I am inspired by all the ways you used corn this week! I have been making spicy corn ribs and it is delicious but I am a bit bored of the same recipe 😅 I really liked the cute corn dishes you have, maybe I’ll see if I can find some at the thrift store too!
    The eggplant recipe looked delicious too. I make a similar recipe with zucchini or other squash and really enjoy it in the fall time too. Sometimes for the stuffing I add rice and nuts as well.
    I hope the weather cools down for you! It has been rainy here but thankfully the temperatures came down to about 20-25 so we feel comfortable. Have a great week, take care!

      hmm corn ribs sounds delicious 😋. Yes the corn dishes were a great find and to my surprise they were made in Japan 😆, hopefully you can find something similar! Oh I think zucchini would work well with those ingredients too, I'll use that at some point. That's good that the temperature is a little comfortable, we've also had a couple cooler days too but today was really hot! Thanks and have a great week too! 🥰

    Tengo que darte muchas gracias por tus videos perfectos por las ideas de menú, yo no soy muy de carne pero la carne molida es la única que como cuando la muelo y las recetas de diferentes hamburguesas con tofu, ahora maíz etc me salvan mi vida…ya mis hijos son adultos pero crecieron comiendo la comida hecha en casa, solo los Domingos salíamos a restaurantes, al ellos crecer y mudarse ahora los Domingos comemos en mi casa, mi esposo y yo cocinamos…yo creci comiendo berenjena porque no comía carne, busca en TH-cam recetas del Middle East con berenjena tienen muchas recetas deliciosas…Dios te bendiga y a tu bella familia. Saludos desde NJ, USA…ahhh hemos visitado varias veces Canada, nos encantó a todos👏👏👏

    It’s hard to cook with that kind of eggplant. We don’t usually eat the skin.

    • @whatsfordinner_japanese
      @whatsfordinner_japanese  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ahh I see, thank you! I'll peel it next time 😊

    • @davidalexanify
      @davidalexanify หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@whatsfordinner_japanese you don’t have to peel it if you want to use it as a “boat” to hold the filling mixture. It makes for a nicer presentation. Just eat as much of the inside as possible and leave the purple skin.
      That is why I love that Chinese eggplant, but it’s hard for me to find it .
      I hope this helps . The filling mixture looked absolutely delicious. I love your recipe ideas, especially when you include a lot of vegetables.. Americans do not eat enough vegetables! 🥗

    Do the groceries last you a week? I need to reduce my bill, there are 2 adults and 2 toddlers. 🫣

    • @whatsfordinner_japanese
      @whatsfordinner_japanese  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah most of it lasts a week, things like milk, eggs and some vegetables I may buy more only if I need. I tend to buy potatoes, onions, rice and flour (which are essential to us) in bulk and look out for things that are on sale to help keep my budget down. I hope that helps, things are expensive days 🙂
