Elaine Chao was also Labor Secretary in the Bush Jr. Administration when Mitch McConnell was still a powerful voice in the Senate, albeit not majority leader. Elaine Chao was a recurring face in Republican administrations long before she and Mitch tied the knot
An impressive resume with prior experience in the department and management. I hope her focus will primarily be on the dept.'s stated misson and not private sector profit.
She also has lots of financial experience! So she will handle the funding the government gives to her department very well.

I also admire her families' efforts to come to America to achieve their America's own dreams. This is why I believe peoples' own America's dreams will only possibly be achieved in America through their efforts under America's equality of the opportunities instead of the equality of the property of Communism ideologies systems countries. This is why America is unique and great by America's own constitutions to maintain, protect and defend America's own greatness of Capitalism systems of liberty and entrepreneurships. This is also why I believe peoples come by act of love for America's own constitutions to maintain, protect and defend America's own foundations and kindness nature under America's own principals, but they need to come here legally instead illegally by respect America's own rules of laws for America's own security and safety and prosperity and unity. I pray for Gov.Bush will be able to help and work with elected President Trump to make America great by America's own patriotism and loyalty, foundation and constitutions by his great proven successful governing leadership experiences which created massive jobs for Floridians to enjoy and even left over 9 billions dollars of surplus for his successor's raining days.

I am very happy and touched to hear her speech. She is great and very reasonable and always be able to get things done and she will be able to achieve the goals after she starts to in charge the Transportation Dept.

She said she wants the federal government to use our money to get autonomous vehicles on the roads and she didn't say a God damn thing about the professional drivers this will affect.
New times call for changes. Also, professional drivers can switch to operators of these autonomous vehicles.
I don't know how bus drivers are in America, but I would live nothing more than to see ALL the bus drivers in my city get replaced by autonomous busses and they all join the bread line.
As a democrat, I can strongly say that Ms. Chao is by-far one of my favorite republicans in our politics.
