I was falsely accused sa in 2008 when I was 21. I never even slept with the women. We meet at a party we drank we flirted we made out and then went to the spare room to go to bed. She said she had just broke up with her ex and didn't want to rush in to bed with me so I slept on the floor and let her have the bed. 2 day later I'm being arrested at work. I lost my job lost lot of friends and lot of money. Her story changed at least 4 times before the case was dropped. The worst part is because there was no trial to prove my innocents lots of people still refused to even hear me out. I was jumped and beat up twice. First time I called the cops they showed up and I over heard the one tell the other "they did it because this guys a grapist" he was the cop who had arrested me at work. I had to move two towns away and start over. When I met my wife at 28, she almost didn't go out with me that first date because she had heard a rumor I sa a girl in my home town. I had to explain it to her and she luckily believed me. My life was completely ruined because this girls ex found out about me and her and the party and she told him it was all me and she didn't want to do any thing with me. Him and his cousin lit my car on fire and jumped me at my mom's house. Friends I had sense grade school didn't believe me or they just told me "I don't know man, maybe you did and you just don't remember" the cherry on the top was after the charges were dropped, I asked if I could have her charged with any thing or at least sue her for my lawyer fees and court cost. Everyone told me I was being bitter and why would I want to ruin her life over this? That I should just be happy I wasn't going to jail and to quit acting like a victim. To be a man about it.

@@HaleysTusk to this day I get super triggerd as the kids would say when ever I hear about some one being accused of sa. It's hard for me to not just take the accused side because of my past I just go back to that day being arrested infrunt of everyone at work and how helpless you feel. Even though I know I'm no better than everyone who just automatically believes the accuser. One of th worst parts was I was a virgin. I had never even kissed a girl before that night. I was always vary awkward as a teen and never did well talking to girls. Lol I was friend zoned a lot. Matter fact I was at a girl who had friend zoned mes party. The girl who accused me was her best friend and up in till I was arrested I was on cloud 9. I thought I had actually met a girl who liked me and maybe thare could be some thing thare. Needless to say it didn't help me with my issues with datting afterwards. My wife my angel actually asked me out. Well kinda she dropped so many hints. A guy at work was like go shoot your shot. My wife's older sister told her not to talk to me. Man I'm glad she didn't listen. This horrible thing happens to you and ruins your life and (not that I'm asking for it ) no one gives you any empathy. I was even after the charges were dropped seen as the problem. She lied but she's still the victim, I was told thank about wht she must be going through and that I'm not a victim. Justice was served why can't you just drop it kind of stuff. Obviously it still bothers me iv been in counseling for years I watch videos like this all the time on you tube. I don't thank people understand what it's like when th whole world hates you and then when it's shown you didn't do it they hate you more for making them wrong. Thank you for your empathy.

I'm in a false accusation situation right now, but it's not of a violent or sexual nature. Police told me that the accuser was anonymous, and uncovering their identity in order to pursue the false allegation process requires a lawyer and lots of money. They said that they do not typically ever see anybody get held accountable. So basically, my understanding is that you can terrorize anybody with false allegations, as long as you remain anonymous and they don't have money to uncover your identity. I'm so tired of our systems.

I can understand why Sarah's police friends would believe her at first. Who wouldn't believe someone they knew and worked with, who seemed so nice and sweet? But what I can't excuse is their lack of police work. I mean, at the very least they would've needed to actually do their job in order to gather evidence for the trial. If they'd done the work, they could have shut this thing down right away, and Daniel and his parents wouldn't have suffered so horrendously. As for Sarah, she's a real psycho. It makes me wonder if something highly traumatic happened to her when she was young and because of that she received a lot of attention, and she wanted to keep receiving attention - regardless of how many lives she obliterated. She should have had a longer prison sentence. She should have been forced to have psychiatric help while in prison (so that hopefully she never does this again). She should have been forced to do tens of thousands of hours of community service once she got out of prison (not working with kids or anything like that, but cleaning up trash and public toilets). And her wages should be garnished for the rest of her life, with a few hundred dollars going to Dan and each of his parents every month. Dan and his parents should have sued the police force for their gross incompetence.

Had a woman who did this to me in Brazil. Told her I wanted to leave the relationship and when she knew it was over she secretly had her son call the police and stated that I had been holding her against her will for the last three days. Police showed up, and she ran into the bedroom and shut the door. I let the police in and they opened her door and she faked crying. The police asked nothing but arrested me immediately. Went from reading the Sunday paper online and drinking coffee to jail in less than 15 minutes. Very surreal.
Arrived at the station with the police sirens and the press showed up taking pictures. I was placed in a cell with several men on the floor one was a rapist and another was caught carrying a gun. No food, water...nothing. After about 9 hours a man who spoke English called out my name to let me know that I would be charged with sequestering her against their will and would be transferred to a prison in the morning to wait 15-30 days to speak with a judge.
I explained through the bars that was absolutely not true and to check her cell phone that she was moving around freely etc., he thought about it for a moment and opened the door, brought me into a room, and called her to come down to the station. When she entered the room he immediately asked to see her phone after about 30 seconds he called her a liar and then said I will be free to go after completing the paperwork. This time her tears then became real but she was never charged for falsely accusing me.
The problem for men is they are systematically branded the bad actors. The justice system is biased and unless you can prove otherwise your life will be damaged if not ruined. You must catch the red flags and never ignore them and just get the F.O. before the same happens to you. I went to an attorney to initiate a suit against her and was advised to "turn the page" If someone can do this she will have someone take you out. Life is cheap here.

I feel people don't fully comprehend just how devastating the pre trial period can be to ones life. Innocent until proven guilty is nonsense, the punishment period begins instantly. This guy spent 4.5months in jail, he would of lost his job, if he had a house and minimal savings, how do you pay your mortgage, lawyers charge $600/hr so that instantly starts soaking up capital. And if you are found innocent or the charges dropped, there is no compensation for any of this, the government couldn't give a sh1t. I have a friend who was put in jail for a month by this exact police force because they fabricated 7 assault charges, he was released once the deception came to the courts attention, he lost his job in the process.

Dr Grande, I would like you to analyse the case of Eleanor Williams of Barrow-in-Furness, UK. Her crimes were similar to Sarah Jane's but, if anything, even worse. Eleanor told appalling lies about several men and caused trouble in the community because of the ethnicity of some of them. She was badly bruised and cut, not because she was clumsy, but because she deliberately injured herself. It's difficult to feel any sympathy for women like these who damage innocent lives with their accusations, and also increase the difficulty that genuine victims endure in having their stories believed.

Really is such a low-life crime...
