Another weapon that you can use if you are really on a budget is black salamanders. People forget about them but they are viable if you are on a really low budget.
Back when Verac's helm was 4m I ran barrows to get one, and after staying past my bedtime and playing without music on I finally got it, sold it in the g.e. and bought a bgs for 20m, this was back in rs2 and it was the best moment in my runescape career

Stephen Hogg You don’t need any magic armor at all to do Barrows efficently, they have horrible magic level and defense. You can hit almost 100% of the time with rune plate on and iban’s blast. Magic armor is worse than useless at Barrows cause you get your ass beat in the tunnels by mobs
One and Only this mans right. Never use mage gear in barrows...unless it’s ancestral bc dmg buffs.
Normal magic gear like ahrims or mystics only gives ACCURACY, which does fuck all considering they have 0, yes that’s right, 0 magic defense.
You can wear whatever the fuck you want and still hit just as much as someone in ancestral :3

Why would you spend 200 hours for 100m when you can work for 3 hours and get the same result.
Been using void set up with no melee. It's very simple and effective. Best loot so far was ktop and ahrim bot same chest. I'm at 730 KC.

My best barrows experience was when I was doing the quest in RS2 to get the 2nd prayer book the first time for Turmoil. Either in that quest, or one of the sub quests, you need to do a barrows run to discover the 7th brother. I got a double loot in that barrows run and they were both decent items too so I was pretty happy about that.
Doing a barrows competition this week with my clan, and thought I’d check this video out again to see how you went about it. Thanks!
When osrs first came out and barrows was released on day 1, I went and on my first kc I got a gut hand spear, which at the time was 10m insta sell

1st barrows chest of my life back in like 2009 was a dh helm, back when it was the most expensive barrows item
It took me about 1030 chests to finish barrows on my iron (Ahrim robeskirt was my last item) and only got 1 double chest, you got pretty lucky on those doubles. I’ve seen some people finish barrows at 500 and others at 1500+.
i got 4 barrows items in a row once... but then i got a 170 chest dry streak

that was when construction wasnt even there if im not mistaken
back when u would sometimes die because it was just not easy to get the right gear needed to do this stuff

for each brother kill, their armor gets added to the drop table and you get roll at the table however you cant get duplicates from the same chest. so potentially you could get 6 different items but no duplicates, however it is very very very rare

Currently sitting on 200ish barrows, but after a 70 kill dry streak, my 75th barrows chest was guth spear and legs.
Was the only motivation it took to get me past the 200 mark. But that was my best loot thus far from it all.

Barrows is one of the easier forms of PvM content but it's a very decent money maker for a low risk PvM activity(for higher lvls), that's one of the reason I alway do barrow myself.
I got a barrows slayer task, so I did the max which equates to 6 chests. I got 4 items, 1 double chest and 2 of the items were b2b. Can't remember the exact items I got, but I remember I got Karils top, Ahrims staff and a DH piece.

I’m a lvl 70 noob and someone in my cc called out that mr no sleep was at barrows w444 which is the world we usually chill in. So I grabbed some stuff and a tele and went and found him in the crypts and fanboyed hard real quick. I then realized that I don’t even know how to do barrows and that I forgot a teleport out. Didn’t know where the exit was either. After failing a bunch of puzzles, 4 prayer pots and a full inventory of food I managed to hide in a hallway long enough without getting hit by those damn worm things, to home tele out
My man said the guthans spear was 7m at one point but he didn't say why. Oldschool oldschool players remember and probably have 99 att 99 str and 99 def ;)

I remember going to barrows back in the day and getting a guthans spear and was freaking out (I was a poor total noob at this time) and went to fally w2 and sold it in the park for 5.5m . Was so happy, one of my happiest moments back then (sad I know) lol

I've only done 267 chests and went without an item for 125 of them at one point... 50% of the chests I've done was a dry streak. Broke it with Guthans legs
