As his proud daughter, it saddens me to see him this way in his final years of his life battling dementia as I had the great fortune to be raised by a brilliant man, father and actor who brought love and joy into the homes of so many families around the world. I truly enjoy reading the kind comments about my dad, it helps me stay connected to him even more in his absence. He is truly missed by his family, friends and fans!
I dont know if this makes you a bit happy,but i watch his episodes from columbo every night before i go to bed,because it feels so nice

I came here to watch this because I saw his name on an Alzheimers Website. He is an icon in our house and we still watch him regularly on Netflix. I was saddened to see he had been afflicted with dementia and watching this clip I can see his struggle to hold on, it's the same look I see in my dad's eyes, a once brilliant person battling disease bravely.
I was a little late when I found out who your father was. I've never found an actor so entertaining and likable as him. It pains me when I miss the chance to meet legends because they've gone before I could even say hello. If I could speak to him right now, I would say to him "Thank you for the work you've done. Every time I've seen you, you put a smile on my face and I'm truly grateful for that."
I grew up with Columbo and always admired your father's extraordinary talent. He was a theatrical genius who created one of the most iconic characters in the history of television, and my personal favorite. I miss him, as we all do. But at least his brilliant work has been preserved as a reminder of both his gifts and of a lost age when actors were true artists.

Peter Falk was truly one of my favorite actors. Columbo was truly brilliant and only Peter could have played that part so well.
Right. I love watching those episodes. I get a kick out of the guest actors too. One of my favorites is the episode with Johnny Cash.

Peter was great! The. First time I saw him was on TV in a show called: The Price of Tomatoes. After that, I would watch always try and catch Peter on TV or in the movies. What a great guy ! Completely unpretentious!

Many years ago in the middle of a sculpting class I was taking at the Associates In Art in Sherman Oaks, I looked up from what I was doing to see your dad standing in the doorway. He was just looking in, smiling and checking out what was going on. He was there for just a moment, then he left. It made my day! I've always wished there had been time to talk to him about his love of drawing. What a wonderfully talented man.

Hi Catherine. Your father brought so much joy to us all. I grew up watching him back in the 80s. Colombo would always be on the telly as a kid and teens. I grew up use to him been on. I've got the Columbo boxset so will watch his timeless classic.

Born in the early 70's and remembering my mom watching all the Columbo episodes I just had to check one out and man did I get hooked. I binged watched all the Columbo episodes and smiled through all of them and of course "just one more thing", he made me laugh too!

We haven't just been blessed to experience the fascinating and wonderful character that is Columbo.
We have been blessed even more so, to have had the great pleasure of experiencing the man who was Peter Falk. The man who lights up the screen and captures our full attention in our very own homes when he is on the telly.
I could never get bored of him, could never tire of seeing him perform. His talent came naturally from within. Such a wonderful thing. We are so lucky to have witnessed and keep witnessing a purely inspirational performer. Generations of actors to come will surely learn a thing or two from seeing his work from over the many years, that is for sure.

Peter Falk was a fantastic actor! I loved the rain coat. He would say , “ just one more thing” . Then he would start asking questions. He solved a lot of cases. Peter Falk was a brilliant man. He played his acting lines to perfection !

A truly great actor. A favorite of our entire family, Mr. Falk as Columbo makes the day end well... as if all will be right with the world as Columbo catches the wrongdoer and puts him or her where he belongs. My mom, my beloved late brother and I used to watch him on Columbo religiously for many years. Today, my mom and I watch him every night, and we feel my brother near.... watching his beloved Columbo along with us.
Shame we get old..he could have kept playing Columbo forever and I would have never get tired of watching him
Columbo was the greatest show EVER on TV. Peter Falk was the most wonderful actor to ever appear on the tube. I own the complete Columbo DVD collection. I watch them so much that they are becoming worned out. No one in the world could have been LT. Columbo besides Mr.Peter Falk himself. He really was great, and also appeared to be a class act. RIP

We all get old someday. People like Peter Falk lived a good life, a talented man, and a hard worker. He leaves us his wonderful work as a dramatic and comedy actor. We should all be so lucky.

Some get older quicker than others, especially those with a lot of bad habits such as smoking cigars and drinking heavily.
I still enjoy watching columbo, Peter Falk played him superbly and I could not not imagine anyone else doing it as well as he did. Comes across as a really nice and genuine man in front of his many fans too. R.I.P

Larry isn't ignored back east! He is a rock star at Chiller and other such shows and we made him honorary Mayor of Fort Lee, NJ at our Arts & Music Fest this past June and we had a huge crowd around him greeting our "Mayor!" Also Larry was with us this past New Year's Eve to be formally honored for his great career and he will be out in Hollywood performing in September and in Palm Springs same time to unveil his star - he is a great guy! And Peter Falk was in our town shooting a film in 2004 and what a great guy he was in person! Two old school gents...RIP Peter!
Yeah he was in Garwood , NJ too, shooting a film some years back at a bar, they say he was a gentleman, and a real nice guy. Wish I were there. First saw Mr. Falk in a film in 1965, and a fan ever since.

I've only just got into 'Columbo'. Chanced on an episode on television and just had to see how it ended. I've now bought the complete series on DVD. Looking at this clip, he's such a lovely man and has time for all his fans. It's a terrible thing to lose one of your parents, but it must be comforting to know that he brought joy to millions. There are not many people who can say that. God bless you Mr. Falk. Oh, just one more thing.........
