I lost my dad a month ago and this song just hits me especially about joining the military and being scared. I know he's with Jesus and he is taking care of my dad. Much love brother ❤
My husband lost his dad a few years ago. I would love to be one of those people who lie and tell you it gets easier, but it doesn't. You just learn how to handle it. If a song makes you think of him, listen, and cry. My husband sometimes thinks that's his dad reaching out to him. RIP to your dad.
@@logandomer, it will be 10 years on November 26 that I lost my daddy to pancreatic/stomach cancer. Cancer definitely sucks! Nope, it doesn’t get easier, you just learn to keep going.
One Christmas Day some years ago, me and my family went to the cemetery where my dad’s mom is buried at. He asked for a sign of her while we were there. About a minute down the road from leaving, Bob Seger, her favorite singer came on the radio.
My father was my real life hero. He was a hero, he was a highly decorated soldier, he received multiple awards. I looked at him as if he would always be here and nothing could ever take him away in my eyes he was there heroes that would always be here. In reality after he completed his mission here on Earth cancer took him away. I'm the only child and I have two kids. Everyday that goes by I miss him. And everyday I appreciate the man he raised me to be. It don't get easier you just learn how to make it better on yourself too deal with him being gone. Sorry for your loss.
Respect for opening up to us brother. Rip to your dad and just know, that sadness you feel is just the love you feel for them coming up. Like you said, it’s a beautiful thing. Love you bro ❤
Just came across this. I cried with u bro. Lost my dad in Feb 22 and my mom under 6 months after that. Stay strong bro. It never stops hurting but I am blessed for what they taught and gave me! Much love!
This year it'll be 38 years since I lost my dad, he was 42 and I was 18. He left a legacy of music, gospel songs recorded on vinyl and on 8-track. It still hits hard to listen to him sing, but those are treasures I will always cherish.
Sorry for your loss of your father. I lost mine in 2001 and Saturdays at times I still want to call him and then I realize he is not here with us but, he is in heaven!
I used this song for my husband's funeral from our 4 girls last year. We love Luke Combs and saw him in concert 2 months before he passed away and every bit fit him. Can't hear it without tears!
That is wrong..had nothing to do with death. I listened to an interview with him about this song a couple years ago, and it's about his friend's son growing up and leaving for college.

I've always been a "daddy's girl" I guess you could say. My dad has always struggled with addiction, and since I've been little (I'm 29 now) I've always cried about the THOUGHT of losing my dad. Within the last month, he went to ICU. He got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer...it's everywhere...doctor said there is no cure. My nightmare has become reality. I've listened to this song more times than I can count, and I cry EVERY time. Watching your reaction broke my heart because I feel the pain that's already here...but much more to come.
Man I can't remember the last time I cried, but this song/reaction finally did it for me. God Bless you and your family brother. Pops will always be there with you
Someone told me country music is a portal to healing & I agree. I’ve recently started getting into country music a lot more & I love Luke Combs. My condolences 🙏🏼
This reaction is so real and so amazing. Thank you, and condolences for your father. It's never easy loosing someone close. Just remember, he ain't goin nowhere.
I am so sorry for your loss . May God give you and your family the strength and the power to get by day by day and just remember that your father my not be with you in person but your father will always be with you in spirit. May your dad have 1 of the best beds in heaven may he rest in piece. I don’t no what it like to lose a parent I only have my mother she’s my best friend she’s my life I don’t no what I would do without her . But I get what your going through because my mother lost her father when I was only 4 months old and he was only 43 years old when he sadly passed away and in the year 1998 or 1999 my mother lost her brother who was also not only my uncle but he is my Godfather also and he was only 25 years old when we lost him & and 5 years ago we sadly lost my grandmother my mothers mom . She died so suddenly and the last words my grandmother said to me was . I love you my Eileen please look after yourself and she hugged me and kissed my cheek . I knew deep in my heart that was gonna be the last I seen my grandmother alive . I just had that feeling because my grandmother never said she loved me until that day in the hospital . We went home because the drs told us my grandmother would be getting out he next morning and going home and then the next morning we get a phone call saying that we need to get the hospital because my grandmother is dying we was on the way to the hospital and then we get told that my grandmother passed away . I no There no longer with us in person but I believe there with is in spirit . May they rest in piece
So sorry for your loss man. I lost my mom 14 years ago and songs like these still get to me. Painful but use songs like this to keep memories of him fresh.

Yo u ain't the only one man it had me in tears I lost my dad when I was 14 to a brain tumor this song broke me. I couldn't of put it better myself. And it always never seems real. My heart is with you brother
I wanted to hug you towards the end of the song, Ricky Jr. I was right there with you. Since my dad passed, every time I hear this song, I let the tears flow. You’re right, we can grieve and be “okay” at the same time. It’s all natural. We were both blessed with great men in our lives. The love you and Bubbles sent out - I want to send it right back to you and yours. Thanks for sharing your light. Hugs and love from Missouri. 💞 Rest easy, Mr. Ricky Sr.
*I lost my dad a month ago. We were best friends. Spent every day together.* Just know brother that your father and mine are standing right beside us always! My dad quit his job and moved states with me on two days notice when I lost my job because I refused to get the jab. He stood beside me and supported me against anyone. We spent every day together. Educated each other. Trained together. I miss him everyday man. I’m lonely without him. But he’s always here beside me and on the other side of the world your dads always there beside you brother.

I just randomly came across this video , I love this song, your reaction is so genuine and as a man , we are expected to be a certain way and be strong and not show emotion but when a song hits home it just does . Nothing wrong with showing emotions we r human after all
Rest in peace Rick Sr. This song kills me too. I lost both of my grandpas 13 years ago and I still cry but I’m good. God bless you Ricky. I’d recommend either forever after all, beautiful crazy, or one number away, all by Luke combs
@@Okayrick love you too my brother and trust me when I say this, things get easier! I know people always say that, but it’s true. Just like the song says, even though I’m leaving, I ain’t going nowhere and he’s always gonna be there. The beautiful thing is I’ve had several visits from both of my grandpas in my lowest times and once the visit was over, I felt a great sense of peace. Love you man and god bless

I’ve never met my Dad, but this song gets me emotional about losin my Grandpa and he died over 10 years ago now… My son is 2 years old, and if he ever speaks so highly of me as you did in this vid about your pops… I’ll consider my life a success.. RIP Rick Snr ❤
I felt this but with my mom it’s been 6 years and I never forget that beautiful face I know she’s happy and healthy and I feel like my mom and your dad are best friends having drinks on the beach in heaven
I know your pain brother. I lost my Dad 5 years ago. I can tell you this the hurt gets a little easier but doesn't go away. There will be days you cry and days you laugh thinking about silly things or stuff y'all did together. I get dreams of my Das and I arguing all the time because it's what we did. We were to Alphas that never wanted to admit we were wrong. Believe it or not those are the things that get me through it. As you said I know he is in a better place now looking down on me and protecting me as your father is doing for you. Just know it's ok to cry, too many people think men should be emotionless to these things. God bless you and your family. You have my condolences and prayers. May God bless you and always keep you in his favor. 😢😢😢❤❤❤

Its ok to cry tears of gref or love. It take a real man to admit he has feelings. God bless you so sorry about losing your best friend I lost my dad when I was overseas during the Vietnam war that was 48 years ago and I still shed a tear when I need to about his passing again God bless you. Fred T

My heart truly breaks for you brother. My dad is my best friend. I get it. Blessed to have them, humbled when you lose them.
I feel your pain. Lost my dad in July 2021. He was my hero. Still miss him daily.
Luke is a awesome Sanger have alot of great music.
This hit me way harder than I could've expected. I found myself imagining myself in your position and I was crying with you through that. I won't take a day with dad for granted. Thanks so much and I'm sending thoughts, prayers and condolences.
He raised you well and passed on to you that compassion for others and love for all.
Love you man 🙏❤️😢I really appreciate you brother. Definitely checking those out
@@Okayrick love you too my brother and trust me when I say this, things get easier!
Luke has some great songs.
One of my favorite singers from the 90's is Rick Treviño. I think you could appreciate his song "Looking For The Light".
RIP Ricky Sr. I lost my dad nearly 2 years ago and this song hit me like a truck. Unfortunately lots of kids don’t get to grow up with amazing fathers like ours. We need that more these days. Stay strong on your journey bro and don’t be afraid to lean on those around you like Bubbles when you need them.
sorry for ur loss bro keep ur head up he with u every step u take and im sure he's proud of u head ups king R.I.P Ricky sr
I’ve never met my Dad, but this song gets me emotional about losin my Grandpa and he died over 10 years ago now… My son is 2 years old, and if he ever speaks so highly of me as you did in this vid about your pops… I’ll consider my life a success.. RIP Rick Snr ❤
Keep your head up .im sure he is proud of you! This song makes me think of both of my parents. Love allways dont sweat the small things.
Been 3 years 4 months and a few days since I lost my dad to cancer. Even now sometimes the loss of him still feels so raw I can't breathe..
I felt this but with my mom it’s been 6 years and I never forget that beautiful face I know she’s happy and healthy and I feel like my mom and your dad are best friends having drinks on the beach in heaven
Think we all felt every single second of that with you, wither it be son, dad, brother, or daughter. Love from the UK💙🏴🇬🇧
I just found your channel a few days ago...Ive been binging on all your videos. Your a beautiful soul and sending lots of love and prayers to you and your family. I hope you take these reactions and use them as a great way to cope with your loss. Big hugs to you my friend. keep up the great work your doing!!!!
