I'm from Tuscaloosa but am moving back from Metro Atlanta after ten years of being gone. Tuscaloosa has truly changed, lots of new stores, restaurants Ect. I truly appreciate your channel, you guys are pretty accurate as well as informative. Keep up the good work!!
I've been there twice recently and is due to return this weekend - if the weather permits. I'll be working at Mercedes and prefer to rent a house somewhere in between Tuscaloosa and Vance
I'm bias to Tuscaloosa since I grew up there and still live in the area today. I've heard nice things about the Auburn campus. Auburn is now a basketball school and Alabama is still a football school so I know which one I'd rather have haha!
First of all great video. Anyone looking to move here there are plenty of jobs there are condos going up everywhere the city is spreading out at the same time it's also becoming more dense. Going to the downtown area a lot of people say that the downtown Skyline is weak for the size of the city. Tuscaloosa has over 100,000 residents and I believe around 80 something thousand students. It's definitely a big small town fifth largest city in the state. The skyline is capped by the old school people so they are not allowed to build anything over 12 or 15 stories at the moment. A lot of skylines are like that including Phoenix Arizona mainly due to their airports. But don't let the skyline fool you Tuscaloosa has a large area of City with plenty to do. Times have changed in Alabama. Birmingham used to be the first largest city of the state and now it has fallen behind two number three with Huntsville climbing to number one Montgomery climbing to number two Birmingham Alabama number 3 Mobile Alabama number for in Tuscaloosa being the fifth largest city. Anyone moving to the city I would advise to stay in the central locations around the middle of the city where most of your things are to do from downtown and Skyland all the way to and around the hospital District around DCH. Great places down by the river in the Riverwalk. And if you just want to stay in Tuscaloosa check out any of the beautiful hotels from Embassy Suites to several others downtown with rooftop entertainment, bars and cocktail lounges inside the hotels pool areas and made to order breakfast. Downtown has a great night life for anyone looking to go out and have a drink and listen to anything from live music from bands to local DJs. Like these gentlemen said it has a small town feel first stepping in if you're coming from a bigger city but don't let it fool you Tuscaloosa is a small city in America. If you're from anything smaller than Tuscaloosa it will feel very large to you. Guys keep up the good content Tuscaloosa is a great city to live in

Is Alabama welcoming to people who move in from other states?
I’d say so! It’s a very popular place for those looking to relocate and most who move here say it’s way better than they expected
