It will work in the first reset but after a time you have to throw the printer because the counting chip installed on its circuit will not allow us to use it. Thank you so much! Hold stop and power button for 3 seconds than press stop button 5 times while holding on/off button then release. Printer should start moving to reset itself. Repeat process till alert light goes off. This works you just have to be patient. Thanks again!

The worst printers are the Canon brands, I have bought two and a few days later they show orange light and no document can be printed, I have lost my money, the last one is MG2522

Don't worry if it works it's good and if not works there is an alternative to change its controller board which costs similar to price of printer, so you can decide to repair it or recycle ♻️
They never tell you about the "Counting Chip" when you purchase these Canon Pixma printers and they sell them so cheap to make money off us when it comes time to repair. I will be looking to buy other alternative printer brands 🤬

that is the only way to reset and it works only one or two time.After it you can throw your printer because it is too costlier to repair .See description of video ,how many times you have to press button of printer
That's the problem of printer. First company sell these types of printer in low cost and takes too much charge for maintenance greater than the price of printer😭

NO!!!! DON'T DO THIS ANYONE! If the given instructions ddidnt work, maybe disconnect from power, come back later. ("Have a cup of tea") Reconnect the power supply, then and follow one more time EXACTLY. If that fails then its goodbye printer. [This is a logical device and cannot respond to random acts of FRUSTRATION!!!!!]

When you don't know how to reset the printer then why misleading others. Stop such vested interest income.

To repair these type of printer is also a time waste. If this technique works then you are lucky else throw it in scrap.

bhai agar tumne ek ya do bar printer reset kiya hai to ye trick kam karegi aur printer print bhi karega.lekin ye permanent solution nahi hai iske bad chahe is printer ko fek do kyonki ye koi kam ka nahi service wala 1500-1800rs repair ka mangega itte mein to ye naya aa jayega.
