In dangerous situations like this, the copper made the right call. The roads were far too busy to continue the chase. It’s much safer if a helicopter can be used to follow the driver instead. And road units just back off completely. But, that’s only if a helicopter is available of course.

no, in pursuits like this it can become dangerous and if they deem it so, they break it off to avoid putting innocent drivers in danger

Nope. I disagree. That road was way too narrow and full of cars. LET HIM GO. Now, you're not only endangering the motorcyclists life, you're endangering your own, AND EVERY OTHER CAR YOU COME ACROSS.
The only thing the police really accomplish by chasing these bikes is giving them more reasons to run.. and go even faster.. therefore endangering themselves, the bikers ,and anyone else on the road. Leave them alone if they wont stop. Chasing them is just a bad idea on all fronts
