    That's a great suggestion on the end. I bought this hoping it could do that, was disappointed it couldn't

    Bought one the other week to help clean up a downed limb. Curious to see how she'll do helping in knocking out the rest of the dying tree. I've knocked out a few branches with it was a quick cut though 5in dia branches.

    Extension broken doesn’t feed power to hedge trimmer when all 3 pieces attached but works ok with hedge trimmer and handle with battery

      That sucks, I was wondering when I would hear about units breaking. It’s such a long pole and the plastic connector is a bit worrisome.

    I love that saw. It's a monster between that saw and the dewalt battery powered 12 in saw I've taken down trees that are taller than my 2 story house. It was worth every penny.

    Bought one on Amazon UK, as got quoted silly money to trim some overhanging branches. Amazing kit from Dewalt. I saved a wad of cash and have a saw for future use. Unlike the Dewalt grass cutter and hedge trimmer there's no hanging hook. 5ah battery seems to help Balance the weight. Agree with your comments re: trigger.

    I've been looking to buy one. It would be nice to have a shorter length extension bar for cutting closer .

    Have a couple of power pole saws,,gas,,biggest complaint for a 70 year old is the weight and balance will wear you out quick!

    I bought a 2nd saw without a manual, whats the file size as I can't make out any numbers on the chain?

    I bought one a couple of months ago. Worked fine in the beginning but as of early this week the safety lock mechanism for the ON switch hangs up as you press on the trigger, this is a major SAFETY concern as the saw keeps on running.
    The only way that you can turn it OFF is to remove the battery. De Walt has a serious product safety concern I have not seen any kind of recall or fix recommendation. If anyone knows about it let me know.

    what's the max branch diameter recommended at?

    • @hammerandhome
      @hammerandhome  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it can pretty much cut through anything the same size as the blade, its pretty impressive.

    Why not pour out the bar oil when not in use

    • @hammerandhome
      @hammerandhome  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You totally could do that for sure. I did for the winter.
