- I am replacing the foundation log in the next wall. I remove the rotten beam and the foundation log. I dovetail the new beams, lift the house and slide them into place.

00:00 I remove the first decayed beam from the next wall.
02:59 I remove the foundation and secure the house from collapse.
06:54 I move the new beam to the work site. Is this how the pyramids were built?
14:59 I cut the foundation, lift the house and slide the foundation into its place.
19:42 I cut the dovetail joint in the second beam.
26:58 I lift the house and put the second beam in its place in the wall.
29:18 I correct the ends of the log. The second corner of the house is ready. -

There is some solid engineering going on here and some well thought out approaches to the problems. Well done.
Thank you a lot!
Need to devise a pulley system for moving those huge beams. 😮
Podziwiam,Pana sumienność i zacięcie. Pozdrawiam.
Bardzo dziękuję :) Pozdrawiam!
wearing a dust mask isnt a bad idea. cool video!
This is my eternal dilemma - is it better to have a mask and fogged up glasses, or vice versa?
Thank you! 😀👍
Keep it up, I am respiring a stone building on my channel. Learning. Lot from you.
Thank you!
Beautiful work! I could watch this all day. 😊

Gratulacje .pozdrawiam
Need a couple good chisels. Well done.
It's true. I have such market chisels for a few dollars. But maybe it's a good thing, because it's easy to find a nail in those old beams :)
Would it be ok to make the horizontal end cuts with the circular saw? 😮
Or even the chainsaw 😮
It’s a hard days labor. But , the end of the day it pays. Thanks
Thank you very much. It is indeed a tremendous pleasure to be able to look at the results of your own work.
Hello, I am subscribed to your channel. Wonderful work. I would like to know what type of air jack you have chosen. I am looking for a jack to lift vertical beams in my barn to be restored. Thank you so much. Cheers from France.
I am very pleased, thank you! I bought jacks with a lifting capacity of 10 tons and lifting if I remember correctly up to 10cm. I bought the cheapest ones, some non-factory ones, because later they are not particularly needed anyway, and one renovation they will definitely last
@@prosteprace71Thank you so much for your answer.
😍
🙂
❤❤🎉🎉🎉 hello
👍😀
What I find so alarming is the dirt inside the building is above the foundation itself.. Making the termites job easy..So I wonder are you going to dig out the dirt so it’s 10 inches lower than the foundation? The Job you are doing is great.. thanks..
Thank you very much. I will be taking the whole foundation apart and making it from scratch. And the soil from inside the house is also still to be picked.
Thankfully termites are not native to Europe but it's still considered unsafe to have timber touching dirt.
@@Ragnar8504 from the looks of one of your videos and the logs ..seems they are definitely there..
@@terrytenley9327 You can have all sorts of other threats to timber, both insects and fungi.
I did find some info on imported termites in Germany, so it's not entirely impossible that there are some in Poland. Didn't know that!
@@Ragnar8504 the higher the wood is above the ground the harder for termite to get to food.. Stopping them is way easier then..
Muy bonito trabajo y te pregunto no tienes ayudante
Thank you very much. I like to work alone.
Znów krok do przodu.
Powolutku :)

Hello. This is a new skill. I am not a builder and have spent the last 30 years behind a desk.

Witam.
Gdzie to jest?
Tez rozmyszlam o jednej chalupie w takim stanie niestety.
Super praca :)
Tam musialo byc caly czas mokro.
Man, I think you made a big mistake . Always between wood and concrete blocks and also between wood and metal , need put an isolation material. Like it was before. To prevent wood decay.
Of course, you are right and I will do a solid insulation between the foundation and the wood. Now I don't do it because I don't have a foundation :). What is under the house should be torn down in its entirety, the foundation should be poured from scratch, the top of the foundation should be built with stone and brick, and before leaving the house on the new foundation, tar paper insulation should be laid.
@@prosteprace71 Thank you , for reply.
Where is your Paterson page?
We do not have a patronite set up on YT. We figured we could handle it, and there are certainly a lot of other causes and people that need support and help a lot more than we do.
Thank you very much :)! We appreciate it very much!
@@prosteprace71 you are commendable. I’ll wish you the best and will keep track of your progress .
Thank you!
