I hate when game show network takes away the advertisements at the end of those classic game shows such as this one, Card Sharks. I liked to see what items they had back then available for sale. :) This was most likely before my time, as I was born in the early 80's. I'm assuming this Card Sharks was from 1980 or earlier?
I still don't think they actually polled all the people the claim they do. For instance; 100 millionaire wives? Really? Was there a millionaire wife convention nearby? I think what they do is poll maybe 10 people, take the result of that and figure out what a 100 might say. The general questions (which aren't that often if you notice) are probably done by the studio audience. But the amount of the pollers are iffy at best. I heard once 'we polled 100 life time prisoners' Yeah? I highly doubt it
I guess sometimes some of these game show hosts make enough money to retire...IMDB is showing that Jim Perry hasn't done any acting or game show hosting since 1990.
