Why would Ukraine have a core on Crimea? It was never their territory until Khrushchev handed it to them on April 26, 1954. The Tatars in the area had been displaced by Russians. I don't like that Russia has taken it by force recently, but by all rights it is not Ukrainian land.

@@whozypie youre also wrong, the inhabitants of crimea were a mix of ukrainians, russians and turks. They even had their own caliphate for a while until the russian empire conquered them. So historically there isnt a clear owner of crimea, even turkey could claim it. As of today, crimea is more russian than ukrainian just like the eastern donbas is now again. If we are going historical now, then almost everything east of dnipro would be russian land

It's 1919, Hetman was deposed but still we have Hetmanate, not UPR.
The mod is pretty outdated, that's probably why most people play the great war redux, it also has a proper Russian civil war.
