Every race video from Ben and Mary in Thailand seems to emphasis that the Thai's organize many and varied races that are well put together and supported by the community; I wish it was like that here ! Congrats on the achievement Ben.
So impactful! I felt like I was running and finishing the 100k with you, especially at the end when you picked up the pace to finish. Thank you for documenting this for us!
Absolutely outstanding work from both of you. You are both very inspirational. Congratulations to both of you for your extraordinary effort. The privilege and wonderful benefits of being a runner can only be experienced to truly understand. The journey is certainly worth taking. We earn the right to show up to an event and run through the committed journey of training. Everyone wins. Keep up the great work Ben and Mary.
Congratulations Ben! Such a gutsy performance from both you and Mary! After all the suffering and then a little speed at the end when someone is trying to catch up in the final km, outstanding.
Ludicrous distance to run! Congratulations on having the mental resilience to get through it. I’d imagine it being laps makes it a whole lot harder than a point to point 100km race. Temptation to throw the towel in on each lap. Oh and post up a link to the playlist. Sounds right up my street.
Brilliant stuff. Really impressive from both of you. I have walked 100km in 24 hours. After about 8 hours the sweet stuff just doesn't cut it, you need real food. I am nowhere near running an ultra though!
What a solid effort and accomplishment Ben! You're spot on when you say that "our bodies and minds are capable of so much more than we realize...at the true limits of what is possible do we find the real version of ourselves."
You’re both nothing but awesomeness! Congrats Ben!!! U rock!!! Not sure I’m ever going to be in the same league as you guys but you have both inspired me to step up to the marathon distance in 2025. Been hanging at the half for too long😂
Such an amazing accomplishment. Thank you for taking us along on the ride. I can only imagine how much harder this was to record versus just hammer out.
Oooooh ben, ur are just amazing seriously amazing 🤩 how u managed to keep getting up off that chair (literally!) and going again and again and again I’ll never know, I defo think id rather do a point to point or even one big loop than just keep going around the same loop time and time again, and a flat loop at that - massive congratulations again Ben, ur a true searcher ❤
I don't know how you two manage your heart rates in that heat and humidity omg, I can barely settle mine in the northeast on a brisk fall day 😂 Awesome Ben 🎉
Amazing and congratulations! Thank you Ben for this video. What I find exceptionally great in this video is your honesty. You were showing the whole journey of that 100km.
Thank you very much for yet another great, and as usual, very honest and personal video! It inspires me to continue on my own journey. I've done a 50 km Ultra in August (took me 5 h 50 min) , and I can relate to almost everything that you experienced. Including the pain :D But also that realization that you're capable of much more than you thought possible.
Awesome Ben 💪 Seriously well done. Only ever done one Ultra myself which was the Pyllon Exposure back in 2021, which Mary also completed, but watching your journeys since then has certainly got me thinking whether to push myself again
Absolutely epic! Well done Ben, and thanks for taking us along for the ride. I really enjoyed watching you overcome this incredible challenge. What sort of shoes would you recommend for an event like this? I guess comfort and support would have to take priority.
Well done Ben. It takes a lot to beat the mind like that. Everything telling you to quit and you just find a way to keep smashing it. Just a small glimpse of the 90 year old you getting out of the chair with 8k to go though 😂
Somebody is going to be sore for the next couple of days! This is going to take a month to recover from. Interesting how the mind can be focused and clear in such an effort. Probably because it is so relaxed (tired) and all defense systems are down.
This is crazy and one thing I also wanted to do. Used to run longruns up to 25km. Now I dont....struggling with 10k also:) Task paralysis in depression
I qualified for Boston for the time this year at age 47. Nothing Ben and Mary or any of my running club pals says to me convinces me that I want to do an Ultra 🤣 That's runner for for, we'll see...haha
10 hours and change for a 100K?! Are you kidding me?! You totally smashed it Ben! If you can do 100K you can definitely do a 100 miler…come on Ben…come to the dark side…😈
The first long run I did for 26k one sunday my nipple started bleeding 😂😂😂 There was another long run I did of 28k and I couldn’t wash my ass with jet as my ass was all messed 😂 Still I love running 🏃♂️
I think first 42km in 3h34 was WAY TO FAST. At 84km You said "I'm just going to tick along at 6min 20sec" - that is the pace you should have started with ,maybe slightly faster.
Unbelievable. Wow. Incredible that you finished the race. I was just wondering if you didn’t get a medal? What was the piece of paper you got in the end? Congratulation for this amazing achievement!
Think the fact you both teach full time makes this even more impressive. How you went from a week of work to an allnighter, madeness!
Thanks dude! You know the life, you’re in it too 😂
Every race video from Ben and Mary in Thailand seems to emphasis that the Thai's organize many and varied races that are well put together and supported by the community; I wish it was like that here ! Congrats on the achievement Ben.
That was the first thought that came to mind for me as well. Great running community over there

Well done, can't even Imagine the mental game needed to finish that race. 💪💪💪
Congratulations Ben! Such a gutsy performance from both you and Mary! After all the suffering and then a little speed at the end when someone is trying to catch up in the final km, outstanding.

Fantastic achievement Ben! I think you employed a great race strategy of taking time to fuel early and look after yourself for the later miles👍
Outstanding man. The mental toughness you showed is unreal. It takes a lot to keep going when it's so easy to just stop on a looped course 😬
Awesome, very well done Ben, amazing achievement and something you’ll remember all your life 💪
Brilliant stuff. Really impressive from both of you. I have walked 100km in 24 hours. After about 8 hours the sweet stuff just doesn't cut it, you need real food. I am nowhere near running an ultra though!
Amazing job! Happy to see you listening to “our” music that we also grew up with. You’re a beast!
What a solid effort and accomplishment Ben! You're spot on when you say that "our bodies and minds are capable of so much more than we realize...at the true limits of what is possible do we find the real version of ourselves."
Well done Ben!
Very ambitious starting pace!
Great job! Both of your videos were fun to watch.
Stunning run, blown away with how you just kept going on
You’re both nothing but awesomeness! Congrats Ben!!! U rock!!! Not sure I’m ever going to be in the same league as you guys but you have both inspired me to step up to the marathon distance in 2025. Been hanging at the half for too long😂
Insane effort by you both. Chapeu 👏
Nice run Ben!!
Wow. What a legend. Chapeaux to you Ben.
Absolutely outstanding! Congrats to you both!
That is awesome Ben! Congratulations! What a huge succes! Well done mate!
Thanks buddy! Really appreciate it. I’m glad it’s over 😂
@ThisMessyHappy I'm sure. But, in this case just enjoy a good rest with some good meals! Again, well done and big Congrats!! You are awesome! 🙂
Kudos to both of you, Ben and Mary! 🎉
Well done Ben! What an effort!!!
Absolutely amazing. Congratulations.
Amazing race! Great job, very inspirational 🏃
Congratulation to you Ben. You are superb.
You are such an inspiration ⭐❤🎉

Absolutely awesome!!! Well done!
You both did brilliant. Amazing! Congrats from Brazil 🇧🇷
Great effort Ben. Hope recovery (for both of you) is going well.
Way to dig deep Ben!! Congrats
I don't know how you two manage your heart rates in that heat and humidity omg, I can barely settle mine in the northeast on a brisk fall day 😂
Awesome Ben 🎉
Immense effort, Ben. An incredible achievement.
Amazing and congratulations! Thank you Ben for this video.

Inspirational ... Amazing efforts from both you and Mary. Well done on your achievements. 🙌🏻
Congratulations to you both. Absolutely inspirational.
Amazing job to you both. I would love to be in a place to "slow down" to 6:30/km😂
Thank you very much for yet another great, and as usual, very honest and personal video! It inspires me to continue on my own journey. I’ve been following your channel and wanted to say Hi when I saw both you and Mary in the So Rot Fai park on the ultra marathon!
great job Ben..i was there greeting on your 88km across from you in the event. Only did 10K :)
Second! And that is amazing! Welldone and all the best with the rest
Thanks so much 😊
Absolutely epic! Well done Ben, and thanks for taking us along for the ride. I really enjoyed watching you overcome this incredible challenge.

First to comment! 😉
And very good musical choices!
You've made a real "exploit"(french word), amazing accomplishment
Winner 😂
That was epic. Thanks for sharing.
WOW! I’m definitely inspired to do more with my runs.
Well done!! There is a saying in ultra running. "beware the chair"...
Brilliant, well done in such a hard race . Get some well deserved rest
Congrats, well done 👍🏃♂️➡️💪 Really good stuff 😃
Amazing and inspirational!!!
Brooooooooooo
Congratulations!
I admire the effort!
You are crazy I guess it makes a marathon a walk in the park. Congratulations on finishing
Great job!❤
Brutal 😂 great video
Got Sum and Blink on my running playlist too! Other Green Days and Offsprings as well. If that doesn't get you through 100k, nothing will 😊
6 min per km is NOT "almost walking pace".
Congrats. Thanks for sharing the journey. How many gels ?
Good question! I think maybe about 12? Thanks for the kind words 😊
Bravo 👏🏻
awesome

Nice work
try have a look at UiTM Ultra in Malaysia. 5.8km looping at 120m elevation per loop
Somebody is going to be sore for the next couple of days! This is going to take a month to recover from. Interesting how the mind can be focused and clear in such an effort. Probably because it is so relaxed (tired) and all defense systems are down.
At the 58 k mark, knowing i still had a marathon to go... i would definitely be worried 😅
This is crazy and one thing I also wanted to do. Used to run longruns up to 25km. Now I dont....struggling with 10k also:) Task paralysis in depression
Great effort. Did I see people running in sandals ?
Yes, at 17:05
100kms for a 100k subs. you got this
In the two 100kms I’ve done, the 70s have been the worst both times. They seemed to take FOREVER
You did the first marathon in my pb 😂😂😂
I qualified for Boston for the time this year at age 47. Nothing Ben and Mary or any of my running club pals says to me convinces me that I want to do an Ultra 🤣
That's runner for for, we'll see...haha
Being able to drop out every 4km must be incredibly difficult mentally when you are suffering
13:20 EmineMuse?
and just 600 subs to go...
Oh and was someone trying to catch you at the end or was it just your mind playing tricks on you?
10 hours and change for a 100K?! Are you kidding me?! You totally smashed it Ben! If you can do 100K you can definitely do a 100 miler…come on Ben…come to the dark side…😈
💯 ⬆️
I would take (and have taken) walking breaks rather than completely pausing.
Factor in 1 billion degrees Celsius and you’d probably stop too. Even on 50k races I stop at aid stations so I don’t think that’s a bad thing 😊
The first long run I did for 26k one sunday my nipple started bleeding 😂😂😂
There was another long run I did of 28k and I couldn’t wash my ass with jet as my ass was all messed 😂
