      Its pencil necks misinterpreting analytics thats the problem. Take Nick Wright, Chris' buddy on FTF: Nick should never be allowed to make predictions or decisions or have opinions on anything.       in like.... 5+ years lol. baseball has big contracts but the start of careers are robbed. you're under control for many years then have to fight through arbitration and are near 30 by the time you get a true FA deal.

    The problem is that the no-hitter is becoming an endangered species. We could end up getting to a point where we may never see a no-hitter again. Fans are not going to like that.

    What bugs me is they’re not pulling guys to win the game - they’re pulling them to protect their arms. That violates the spirit of competition we demand as fans.

      Not really. However, they are pulling pitchers in some crazy spots. It seems like pitchers in the early octs threw complete games and they didn’t get hurt as much.

    His average fastball isn’t 100 MPH Chris. Stop always catering to zoomers. They’re not going to give you any props either way old man. Today’s MLB radar guns are showing readings that are juiced AF. His average fastball is probably 95 if measured by conventional radar methods from as early as 20 years ago. Which is still exceptional but not unheard of in the slightest.

    I watched the whole game, the Brewers had some great at bats fouling off 100mph pitches and ran his pitch count up, if he needed 3 more outs then you send him back out there for the no no but he needed 6 more outs and was at 99 pitches, you don't risk ruining a young arm for a no hitter, it's Skenes 11th start he will have plenty of more chances to get the no hitter

      Earned run average. It's how many earned runs you give up per 9 innings pitched. If you pitch 9 innings and give up 1 earned run, your ERA is 1.00.
      4.0 is the current MLB average. Skenes has a 1.9
